To be slightly fair to PD in the intervening period they made Tourist Trophy, pretty much finshed GT PSP, made GT5P and apparently are nearly finished GT5 so its not really 3 for 1

I think Forza Actually looks pretty good. Most people have compared Low res images with our HD Images that we have from Prologue which is unfair, Its like how People were comparing a GT5P a demo to a finished game Forza 2.

Sure Forzas textures wont be as high res as Gran turismo but that dose not mean it will be a bad game. Forza has always had very very good physics and felt very smooth, If i had a 360 and that porche wheel i would definantly go out and buy it!

However since i only have a PS3 and the Logitech g25 i will most likely not be playing forza 3.

The full Version of Gran Turismo 5 will no doubt be a Benchmark for future racing games and i think surpass Forza 3's Features. From what we know Gran Turismo 5 will have Rally, Nascar, F1, Touring, Drift, Lemans and many other features main one im looking forward to how ever its only a rumour, Engine Swaps.

And the interior detail speaks for itself, it has nothing to do with "low res".

No, I wasnt saying FM3 is like a push bike, and GT5 is like a motorbike.

You said that forza looks good considering its not a blu ray game. You said that was an achievement in itself and thats why you think FM3 is better.

I went on to say that, that is basicaly like saying a bicycle is better than a motorbike considering it has no engine.

At the end of the day the motorbike is faster and overall a better machine, as is the Blu ray format.

But just like motorbikes and bicycles, its up to you what is more fun Forza 3, or GT5. I respect if you have faith in FM3, you're entitled to you opinion

Well Blue ray disks hold more 8 times more so equals more graphics put in.
Forza 3 have mainly got more details on sound of each car and the handling and every single little dump and corner in each race track that is real. They havent spent all the time on FM3 like GT5 spent on theres. The actuall game is nearly out. the GT5 demo have been out for ages and they been upgrading the game so nothing can beat it.
FM3 has been worked on less and if you havent noticed both games are good but forza has different graphics to GT. You all are only saying GT is better because TBH you havent played Forza 3 yet and if you have you just impressed with the game.

Blue rays are 50gb dual layer and Fm3 comes on 2x 8 gb dvds ok so your saying gt5 is better because it has a bigger disk storeage which can hold more and also hold more graphic codes which if you know makes the grpahics look better.

FM3 has 2x 8 gb so it has to have 2 disks but still for the game on two lower storeage game disks the graphics are gr8 for the game. and soon the graphics will be as gr8 as GT5. Fm3 isnt far off ether.

That interior view you posted has already changed. People seem to keep forgetting that they were releasing pre-alpha shots and video.

Since then, they have changed the cockpit view.

No offence but when your posts are so bad people can't understand them, perhaps you ought to take better care of how you post. Now my punctuation leaves a lot to be desired at times, but for the most part its legible unlike your posts.

Using the word 'gr8' instead of 'great' is not acceptable, this isn't MSN messenger.

Using the quote tags correctly makes reading much easier, punctuation helps a great deal.

I personally proof read many of my longer posts as I tend to think faster than I type, missing words and punctuation out. I strongly recommend you do this too.

Without sounding rude, this is an international board which uses the English language. For many people here English is not their first language, so for those who aren't very fluent, reading your post must be a nightmare. Let's not forget this is a discussion board, if people can't understand what you're trying to discuss, what's the point?

For a start, the medium is irrelevant to how good the game is. For a follow-up I've not played either game. I can't say which is better and, spookily, neither can you.

You are saying that FM3 is better than GT5 because it comes on two DVDs instead of one BD - which is a frankly staggering position.

Why does it come on two DVDs? Because all the cars and tracks won't fit on one DVD. No doubt the actual game portion of GT5 would also fit on a single DVD but, like FM3, it needs extra storage space to fit all the cars and tracks in. Luckily, the PS3 runs BDs which have ample extra storage space. FM3 isn't so lucky and requires a second DVD which, in turn, restricts some of their customers from playing the whole game.

Ultimately, what format disc the game comes on is irrelevant. More space = more stuff and, in the case of the PS3, they've got all the space they could want on a BD.

regarding DVD vs Blu Ray

More space equates to more content, not graphics.
What does affect graphics on the memory side of things is RAM. Xbox 360 has 522mb of ram and PS3 has 512mb. No matter how much space the PS3 has on disc you are still only able to load up to 512mb of data at one time. With so little ram in these consoles the benefit of having higher resolution textures on disc is not utilized because they are RAM bound. Of the 512mb only 150-300mb is used for textures depending on the engine and game design.

Many PC games on one DVD have better graphics because they can use more RAM have better GPU's and CPU's. Storage space has little affect on a games graphics. What storage space affects is content.

Xbox 360 and PS3 are extremely close in graphics abilities. One has a better GPU the other has a better CPU and both have roughly the same amount of ram.
Polyphony Digital simply have better art and lighting. Combining these two things gives GT a more realistic look.

Because to me and everyone else it looks like you're saying FM3 is better because it's not on BluRay.

IF it was on BR disks then it would be the same and great graphics as GT5 but it&#8217;s not. I was also saying it&#8217;s a good game because it&#8217;s on two 8 GB disks then GT5 as its on 50 GB BR disk which holds more.

And as several people have been at pains to point out, the extra space is for extra content, not the core game (including the physics engine and the graphics packages).

The second DVD of FM3 and most of the storage space of the BD of GT5 are for extra cars and tracks. What disc they come on has nothing to do with the meat of the game.


Now, let's move onto your posting. Your English isn't brilliant and it's not any of our faults. Swearing at people isn't going to change this - and I'd suggest that if you have to swear to make your point, you may as well not bother making here on GTP. If you read it. i say FM3 is better because its on normal Dvd disk that ant right. i have always said that i like it because its on 2 small 8 gb disks normal disks and to be honest the graphics are good on the game and i have been watching what people and reportes say and i agree with them that FM3 is a good graphic game. just because the graphics ant as good as GT5 doesnt make it a bad game.

Also BR disks are mainly HD and normal disks are kind of HD but if FM3 came on BR disk then the graphics would be superb.

Anyway, OT, what I'm fed up with is that Forza promotion shots look much better than there ingame shots. And yes, this has been proven in the Forza thread.

So, if you're asking which is the better looking game I'd have to say GT5.
But that's just based on my speculation and partly proven facts (aka ingame videos of FM3) that the final game won't look like most of the screens you've seen the past couple of months.
