It's the elves. He employs people everywhere. I am beginning to strongly suspect that my kids are not really mine and these Santa visits have more to it than meets the eye. He's got elves everywhere. Everywhere.

They are so short you'd think I would have spotted them. Shame on me. Well, at least the coal will make good use for the summer BBQ

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas, Slash. Have a good one.

Got a Kindle Fire and a new watch. Didn't expect those but they are certainly useful! 👍

Can't believe you got that after being so mean. You must have done something good.

Got lots of diecast cars, already . . . and chocolates, shirts, dried fruit . . wine . . Not a single trap was sprung. Santa got away by distracting me with presents, dammit.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

A Visit from St. Nicholas

by Clement Clarke Moore
(1779-1863)

also attributed to
Major Henry Livingston, Jr.

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Toys, and St Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.

His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, 'ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

It feels weird to still be awake. I've never stayed up past 11 on Christmas, but I don't feel that awesome feeling you get on Christmas yet. Maybe Santa sprinkles the house with something that causes that feeling when he comes?

In my experience . . . it's something to do with the kind of year you have. Some years it's a bad year. All you can remember is that you didn't really give anybody anything.

Some years it's a bad year.

:ouch: This year... I had to postpone my plans and dreams of college for a year, and this year's been a long mixture of boredom, snow, and work.

2013's close, and Christmas might cheer me up a bit. It's been about 3 months of continual work, :indiff: so I don't get to drive as much as I'd like.

Me - driving = apocalypse. I ever so slightly avoided it.

I'm just hoping to finally be able to relax. My dad bugs me "go, we don't have time for this," every day.

Christmas Day, I'm hoping, is the one day that I get to spend not hurrying up/doing chores/working. I don't care where I spend it, as long as I can relax a bit.

Merry Christmas everyone! I'm currently up at 6.00am, now got to sit around and wait for everyone else to wake up.

Merry Christmas everyone! I'm currently up at 6.00am, now got to sit around and wait for everyone else to wake up.

First thing we do when we wake up is the big breakfast; bacon, eggs, sausages, ham, slices of yule log, etc, etc . . . then on to opening the 'Big' presents. Later on when the extended family gets together there is more opening presents with the wine and cake and so on that is flung around the chairs before Christmas Dinner which for us takes place around 3.00 or 4.00 PM.

If we go visiting after that - there'll be more presents.

I also have a habit of holding on to some packages and only opening them at a special moment later on - gifts from special people ;) One never knows what's inside them.

Feliz nobby blah, everyone!

Quickly closing in on midnight thirty. I should probably get some sleep soon 'cause you know the kids won't sleep a second past 6:00am. :irked:

Yes. That is the one day they will wake up ahead of time.

And they wake up almost instantly. Eyes open- a second. Sit up - second. Scream and run - several hours.

A big merry Christmas to everyone on here. its 7.49 am on Christmas day and I feel like crap:ill: I had half a bottle of southern comfort and 2 cans of relentless energy drink last night.

With about 20° Celsius (plus) outside it`s hard to believe we have Christmas time. Warmest Christmas since recording of weather datas in Germany.

Have a nice one around the world! 👍
