Merry Christmas to one and all, may you all have your own Mr Hankey too.

Today is going swimmingly well, I was the first one to wake up at 8.30am and had to get the kids up which is a hell of a lot better than the expected 5am start by them. The turkey is in the oven and the presents have been unwrapped which the kids are made up with. Now to hit the sherry and wait for the family to arrive...at which point I'll be cracking open the hard stuff :D It's our first Christmas in our new house so it's feeling pretty special, it's been a bit of a roller coaster year but after all the stress and hard work I think we've won...by the skin of our teeth.

I've been absent a fair bit from GTP for much of this year but it's still my online home and many of the best people I've ever know live here, thanks to all who have given me a poke through PM's, VM's or FB to remind me what an awsomesaucetastic bunch we have here.

Right...where's the sherry.

Cheers

Neal

Great to hear from you again Neal. Still haven't seen that house warming party invite. I'll check my mail again. ;)

You should have seen the look Mrs AT gave me when I said that the forum wanted to see my pants. It's nice that she looks out for me, what with this internet grooming going on these days.

Merry Christmas everyone! I got a lot of shower and bath stuff this year, as well as some new boxers, trousers and shoes. But the best gift of all was my girlfriend saying 'yes' to marrying me! I couldn't be happier, this has been the best Christmas ever :D

You too Steve, merry christmas mate

We still haven't got round to buying a bed/sofa bed for the spare bedroom but the offer is always there to crash at ours when you're up this way. You'll be glad to know we haven't had the house warming yet so you haven't missed out but I'm pretty sure if you turned up the party would be on anyway :sly:

Yep, best to be careful showing your budgie smugglers online these days...even though you're getting on a bit you're still game to these ancient pedos that have been in the news.

Congrats again Mogs

Can't believe you got that after being so mean. You must have done something good.

Got lots of diecast cars, already . . . and chocolates, shirts, dried fruit . . wine . . Not a single trap was sprung. Santa got away by distracting me with presents, dammit.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas

A Visit from St. Nicholas

by Clement Clarke Moore
(1779-1863)

also attributed to
Major Henry Livingston, Jr.

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Toys, and St Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.

His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, 'ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

Same to you man, Merry Christmas to you and all your family. Have a good one bro!

@ Moglet : Congrats dude. Best word ever (well after the bird, cause bird is the word but still)

@ Neal : Nice to see you back.

Merry X-mas to those who just wake up

Today I got premium.

Oh wait that was a dream and I am forever alone instead and got nothing.

Nah got a computer which is a great improvement over my last one. Lets just say on my old pc I could run Shogun 2 on lowest graphics. Now I can run it on top settings. :)

Merry Christmas everyone.

I got $200 dollars in cash to get an Ipod Touch when they are in stock again. I'm thinking about saving the money to use it for my first gaming PC in 2013

No official presents (the kind with wrapping paper) but the trip to Las Vegas next month, the trip to Disney World the month after that and my wife telling me that I can buy whatever I want for the next computer to replace her dying laptop isn't too shabby. :D
