An inside source has told me that if there will be a February update it will be in the coming 2 days.

Don't know if you're trolling or if English isn't your first language, but it seems like your 'inside source' is a calendar. A February update can't be released in March because then it would be a March update :dopey:

Edit: lol troll

GT6 is my first go around in the world of car racing games/sims. I've never played another version of GT nor have I tried Forza, iRacing, or any of the others. This is it for me. I've been very impressed so far. Sure, I'm disappointed in quite a few things, just like the rest of you, but I have been satisfied with the updates thus far. I think it's impractical to expect an update every week. I know many of you are thinking that we shouldn't have to wait for an update to incorporate features that should have been functional when the game shipped and I agree with you, but we are where we are. Instead of just abandoning the implementation of these features, we have to wait for them, but at least we know they're coming. Frankly, I'm thrilled to know that more tracks are coming. Tracks keep the game "new" in a sense. Instead of giving us the 30th version of a GT-R that only differs from the 29th version by a white stripe painted down the hood, I'd much rather have a new track to play over and over again.
Welcome to :gtpflag:

Definitely code for something lol.

I remember people joking in wishlist threads about adding a place to eat halfway around the Nurburgring, perhaps PD listened to a silly request. As opposed to giving us the features we all want.

Hello everyone,

I am like you, annoyed the lack of seriousness of the team at Polyphony Digital and its lack of communication.

As always, a lot of people complain and spend whole days to speculate on any information.

Do you think things can change in this way?

For me, a good solution would be to create an approach to Mr. Kazunori Yamauchi and his team through a list/letter.

I obviously have no idea about the success rate of such a process, but it will always be more specific complaints on various forums.

To be brief, know that I am ready to lose my time to do things, or at least try to change.

Remember, complaining is good, but action is better.

We have nothing to lose by trying, we even everything to gain.

Unity is strength.

Sincerely,
Anthony.

I can't believe I haven't heard of Assetto Corsa until today. Bring the Competition! This should hopefully 'stimulate' response times from all franchises, namely PD. Should, and will, unforunately, are totally unrelated terms.

I DOUBT PD will feel threatened by AC in any way or if they even acknowledge their existence. pCARS possibly, AC, unlikely.

Don't shoot the messanger

Well, obviously. There's only 2 days of Febuary left, so if (as you say) it will happen in Febuary, it will happen in the next two days, it's no going to happen on the 29th now is it? Play on words, guys, play on words

they won't do the single most effective thing, listening to the customers.

If they didn't listen to their customers, we would never have got tracks like Bathurst, Silverstone, Brands Hatch, drift lobbies, wingless option on cars, speed tests on Route X in GT5 and so on and so forth.

I'm not here trying to defend PD by any means, they get things wrong, repeatedly, but damn, people on this site sure go to town on them more than pretty much any other gaming forum I've ever seen with far worse/buggier games.

If it were to come out on PS4 (and if I had one), I would never, ever, EVER, reconsider a single GT game again..

Before I thought they were aware that GT6 wont sell as good as GT5 because of issues we all know about. The internet was as uninterested as it could be about it and the general consensus was that GT6 won't be anything special.

I'm starting to believe though that they truly expected a lot more sales simply because of GT name.

There is a scenario that I'm not excluding that they planned all the features ahead taking into account X amount of sales.

Now that the X figure is nowhere to be seen budget for the missing features would break the bank and Sony in not really in the mood of throwing the money around. That could mean they will simply need more time - with limited budget you can still get things done, just not as fast.

Or just let's not say anything while the game is still selling and in 2 or 3 months - "GT6 won't be updated because the sales were poor - we are sorry but due to low sales of GT6 we are unable to deliver the promised features. We're sorry if this made you flip the 🤬"

As I said though - there's only a remote possibility of this happening because 2mln+ sales seems enough to me.

That's enough right ? RIGHT ?

Is there a "Kaz for president" thread?
Ohh would I like to troll that puppy...

Edit.. After the first google search for "Kaz for president" I saw that the president and CEO for Sony is Kazuo.... But goes by Kaz.. I guess that eliminates just about everything.

Miracles do still happen though. Activision's Diablo3 patch 2.01 has apparently injected life into a game that was dead in the water for over 18 months. Let's see if PD can pull the same card from its sleeve.

But I ain't waiting a year and a half for a game... With that much time, I'd rather get a job at McDonalds for a ps4, PC, AC, and three years worth of ps plus

And aside for activision which a whole bunch of kids still hate due to the COD series, I don't care about them

@Lambob : That's my take on this. If the update is massive and has enough really good stuff, GT will be good again.

Fingers crossed, knock on wood, etc.... ;)

Personally, due to the complexity of a 7GB game, I think PD is understaffed....
