Unless things have changed since GT5, cars are given generic stock tires, most of the supercars being on SH tires, which may or may not bear any resemblence to it's real world counterpart.
This is what bothers me about the tyre system in GT.

We should be given a Factory tyre option. These tyres would have grip levels similar to their real life counterparts.

It would slot between sports and comfort tyres and come stock on every car bought or won in the game.

That would be great so long as when entering races online you can force everyone into a standard tire...or at least have the option to do so. The closer we get to realism the better.

Yes. That should be an option as well. The tyre should be able to be restricted like the rest of the tyres in online mode.

Even A-spec races/Seasonal races should be able to restrict tyres to Factory.

I gotta say that I'm completely in support of that!

Reason is that I would like to get even closer to this being an actual sim, even if this option was only available on Premium cars.

Should be available on all cars, even fantasy cars like the NSX-R LM, the original GT Touring cars, etc.

Pasko was fastest in an impromptu GTP face off with the R8 LMS. Jordan is quite fast, so is T12. We all commented on the general amount of crashiness of most people. Probably because the physics are definitely far different from GTA. In what way, I can't say, but certainly entertaining, though playing without sound is a challenge.

Kaz is super-kind in person (he was all smiles when I gave him my GT1 case insert to sign, though he wished the background was lighter for greater contrast), and very polite during the panel. I met quite a few of the people close to Kazunori tonight, and they're all enthusiastic about not only PD and GT6, but GTP as well.

Oh, and the cars were epic.

There are some surprises in the works. I won't say anything, since I'm not sure what is allowed and what isn't, but you'll be excited!

Consider me jealous!

Kaz's raceface is scary :nervous:
You should see mine. :boggled: :indiff: :mischievous: :irked: :grumpy:

Well, actually when playing GT5 it's more like :odd: :boggled:  :dopey: :D

Anyhow, I'm hoping to get dowsed with a good flood of information this weekend. It's looking like a great start.

Mine's rather serious, I stand up in front of my Daewoo to race against other people so you can imagine how tired I get.

Similar to my Glaceon avatar when everything's going according to plan :mischievous:
