 For the 520PP sessions, you mean.

And I also noticed that I'm in the lead for jollygreen's test at the moment! I think that's good enough for results mate, you can stop now.

Lol......ok mate. That scooby is a joy to drive though(for me anyway).

YES!!! That means I've finally won something! And with that, we come to the closing of this shootout, thank you all for participating, see you next time!

Seriously though, glad you enjoyed it. It's an odd car. Half of the guys who drive it say they find a lot of grip with it, the other say it's very loose, pretty much all of them enjoy it to an extent.

It feels loose and pointy like an FR when entering corners, then grippy and sure footed like a 4WD when exiting. Also great acceleration between the curvy bits.

I believe that concludes our business here. Well done to you and me, two pints please, barman

I see. That means it was more or less driven as I intended it to be. 👍

Eh, what about 550PP then? And yea, barman, I'll take a whiskey.

550PP Results
All cars were tested for 5 laps, using DS3 controller.

VTiRoj NSX
Tsukuba: 57.490 (+0.4)
Suzuka: 2:11.285 (+1.8)

Comments: Extrememly quick, but also very demanding on the driver. Needs an aggressive driving style, yet also with precision and subtlety. Pushing hard reveals a tendancy of the rear sliding deep in the braking zone, which on one hand makes the handling more adjustable but on the other hand sometimes time is wasted tidying it up. Similar story with the throttle on the way out, the throttle-steerability is wonderful but it's a fine line before you push it too far and end up facing backwards. I'm sure better drivers will get much quicker times, personally I found it an achievement just to put together a single lap without any lawnmowing!

Kudos for designing gears which work great at both tracks. A ferocious tune, that will both challenge and delight expert drivers.

Not too far off the LFA's, I'm happy with that. :) Perhaps I should've dialed back the oversteer more eh? Although it does make for a fun ride and when you get it right, it's the best feeling ever. :D

Nice times, Ryan. 👍 Thanks to you, Krenkme is on his way to owing our crew (Me, desperado, ACSR) a car each. But that time at Suzuka for my 490PP car…come on, surely you can squeeze that extra 0.014th out and break into the 2:19s. You have it in you, you can do it!

You're going to request a GT-R, arn't you? :lol::lol::dopey:

We still have more testers, and Theo is turning some great times :P

Nope. I won't force a car I loathe onto anyone who doesn't deserve its awfulness. A Ford, I think. :sly:

Theo alone can't save your backside. :P Plus, we have our ace, ACSR, who's cars have been running very, very high in all 3 categories. We have nothing to fear. :P

Tag team! I've caught the bug, here's my entry for 520pp.

Nissan Fairlady Z (Z34) '08
Max Power: 451 bhp
Weight: 1335 kg

The power limiter is for a car which isn't fully run in. When the car is on sharing, it will be fully run in and power limiter % will be revised to ensure 451 bhp. Please use ABS 1 and controller sensitivity 3. Test using offline practice mode please.

Nomis,

FYI your car on share is currently showing only 83.5 miles and has 521pp. I will use the power limiter to adjust as it gains points while I'm testing, but I wanted to make sure you aware if you weren't already.

Edit: One other thing I just noticed. The car on share also has SH tires. I assume you intended SM tires for this class as your sheet indicates. I will change this as well but wanted to let the other testers know in case they didn't notice this

As long as it's not that 80's 4wd rally thing :yuck: That car hates me :dopey:

The bet was for only the 490pp class. So :P

:dopey:

Accepted your FR jolly.

To Testers: I'm going to be running both my 86 and LFA until about 400 miles to be sure they're broken in..Started with the 86. Will move on to the LFA once done. This is why the car isn't online presently.

EDIT: 86 Good to go.

k well i am breaking one in right now will break in the other two tomorrow and put them up on share by the end of the day. anyone having to test SolidSnake7735's tunes, please send me a friend request his tunes are not on share i am hosting them for him.

sweet, I really appreciate the help. Thanks.

I made the rookie mistake leaving out key parts from the sheet.

Engine Tuning Stage 3
Sports Exhaust Manifold

I've made a note in the post advising everyone of the fault.
I'll redo the sheet in the coming days as well as the other sheets with mistakes on them.
It's a culmination of workload overload. I apologize.

SolidSnake7735 's mazda rx-7 550pp car, its the dark blue mazda, is on share now on my account i am working on his 520 subbie and then going to start working on his 490 rx7. testers please add me to test SolidSnake7735's tunes.

Didn't have much time to test cars todays fellas, too busy with my own (real) car. I've tested krenkme's Startrek and I'm about to test CSLACR's RX-7 SUV, so after I've done that I'll update my post. 👍

its fine, also my fault i should of looked over your tune better, if you want you can fix it quickly since no one has given you feed back.
No worries. Thanks for the offer, but times have already been posted so I'd better not mess with it. If testers want to test, that would be great, just don't include my "cheat tune"(!) when it comes to scoring.

Argh! Sorry about that. I'll got Bob onto it, fit the correct tyres and then put it back on sharing in the next few hours.

@nomis3613 thanks for testing and your feedback.👍👍

Do have a question for you though. Are you driving with a manual transmission or an automatic? I tune and drive with an automatic so I'm not the best at optimizing gears for manual drivers. That said with the cars power band a manual driver should be a bit quicker in the car, yet your times were a second to a second and a half slower than mine. Not taking a jab a your driving since your times for the other cars are a little slower than the other drivers have posted, just curious how your driving is all.

Yeah, I'm slow! :dunce:

Just took the Caldina for a quick spin to check the times, 58.5 is about right with me at the wheel. I drive manual, shifting at 8000rpm in the Caldina.

(just a tip, you haven't posted the settings yet, I was gonna compare them to the settings on the car, but can't)

The transmission settings are listed on the tune. If there is a problem with ryangt's link use the one in my garage index. Or the one above the photo I posted when I announced the tune was ready.👍👍

Don't worry about your driving, I'm sure your much faster than I would be driving it manual. I'm just starting to try and learn to drive with a manual after owning the game over a year...

Joined the budget car challenge thread at the start of the March season. Have to use manual for it. We're stuck using comfort hard tires this season and the last challenge was of all places Suzuka...with rain and 100% wet track.:scared::banghead::scared::lol:

Thanks had to double check myself. When I changed exhausts from the first two tunes to the 550PP it added another 100rpm to the redline and so I ended up with slightly different gears on it. The first two are virtually identical in their gearing. (Didn't notice till after I had them on share and the tunes posted that I had a very slight difference in the 6th gear ratio between the Phase I and Phase II.)

ok SolidSnake7735's 520 subaru is now up on share, the 490 rx7 needs a bit more run in then it should be good

This took longer than expected. I got distracted and started playing NFS ProStreet again, the last of the good NFS games. Anyway, krenkme and CSLACR's cars results added. 👍

Edited my tune post to be user friendly and added a priddy pikshur. :P

thanks for doing that added it to the link also doing the last run in for the 490 rx-7

also on a side note VTiRoj is hosting Rotary Junkie's tunes so tester please add VTiRoj to your FR (if you havent already)

I am waiting for Rotary Junkie to post his tune...... >.>
