I entered a mini-van in the last shootout, and VTiRoj entered a hybrid. With the group of tuners here I'm sure you'll see some weird stuff... even a Farm car

I'm going for a "normal" entry in the 550pp class, you've been warned

My latest test car which probably isn't the best possible base car for it just ran a 0:58.102 at Tsukuba. 550PP Sports Soft tires. Rough tune built within the rules...and it can be set up to run all three classes.

There's why. I haven't read the rest of the thread yet, but if you're running 490PP, it's sport hard tyres.

eg, a prius does a ridiculous time round suzuka in and is semi competetive round suzuka, the testers vote that it's crazy based on it's a piece of 🤬, it gets most votes by testers, I fork out prize to that dubious individual....

Up to you guys, the comp is semi complex to read through for new comers as is, but could be somehting to add more spice to the line up (I know all the testers are hating right now!)

Onboy read the rules...550PP gets Sports Soft tires and 520PP gets Sports Mediums.
Since I was running the car at 550PP it was on Sports Softs for the test.👍👍

Ah…I see now. Mistook the second 5 in 550 for a 0. I thought the time seemed to quick, sport soft or not.

I really need to get some glasses, or contacts, at least.

Love it!!!! as we saw in the last shootout and I am confident we are about to see some adventurous entries, eg my Farm vehicle, and some soccer mum from singapores mini van for taking the kids to school....👍

let me know before you organise the next one if you want some concepts aroun d the idea.... more than happy to help out...

I just want to get home so I can get back to building my three rides..... thus far I am confident of my Farm vehicle being in, and have a lovely little car for the 550pp pending it's spend round suzuka, just have not ironed out my last ride........so many to choose from

I will do the 520PP and 550PP as a tuner of course. I have the cars already , i will not test this time because i can`t play at this moment but i can follow my cars during the shootout for sure.

I'm still undecided on what to enter, but it will likely be in the 490 or 520PP category, car dependant. I'm not seeing much variety in the top tier and I fancy the challenge of the harder compound tyres. I'm away for the next couple of days with work and won't get much chance to test before the end of the week. Is it ok if I announce then?? I'll only be entering one or the other, no chance I'll have the time to submit more than that (unless I find something lurking at the back of the garage)

I think we need a restriction for the down force on cars like we did in the 600PP shootout. No car with front downforce of anything higher than 10 perhaps?

No car with front down force = good call

otherwise is R390's etc are allowed in it's game over..... oh wait where did I put my toyota that looks like a road car le-mans weapon...oh there it is...sports softs on... don't bother tuning just slap a turbo on ---FAIL

If front wings are allowed all tuner vehicles would then need to be allowed, and so forth..

obviously I like to rant......

anyway have a new goal.... get crappy street car to do sub 55 second lap at Tsukuba (am light years away of course but called Nasa and they said sure why not that thing will need to be a rocket ship... and I was all like thanks man)

I don't think any hybrid can hit 490PP unless it's a TC. The Tesla Roadster can hit 485PP though, close enough and it's an EV.

I'm glad I'm not testing 550PP now. I'd probably die of boredom from the incoming R390 bandwagon.

Unless they were banned, of course. And don't forget, this class was ruined already by someone here who was very drunk and would come to tune a R35 for the 550PP section, thinking they were being smart.

Yea, shame there's no driver's choice for this shootout, if there was, there would be some meaning in tuning in the higher PP classes, but since there isn't, it's more…"Welcome to the Noob-fest 520PP/550PP shootout, as a tester, here is your following choices of cars to test:

The CR-Z tops out right around 450PP when you add all of the power items. You might be able to drop weight and add aero to get it up to 490PP?

I brought up the Nissan R390 because I know that some clown would wedge this one into 550PP with no oil change and kick everyone's butt. Hoping that this car is banned from competition. If not, I will be cycling my UCD until another one shows up. My current version of this car has everything added to it, including the non-removeable parts. It's also non-tradeable at $1MM.

I tried to use a car restore ticket on the R390. The wording says that it restores the car back to stock, but it's really just chassis refresh and engine rebuild. How stupid. I wanted to remove the engine tuning.

Yes, but note the "Not really a road car" bit. Yes, PD treat it as a road car, and it has road car in its name and it was a production car, but there is not one "road car" I know of with as much downforce as it does.

Seems the turbo kit for the CR-Z has more boost than I thought it did.

Maxed NA CR-Z (200bhp/956kg) - ~440PP
With turbo (305bhp/956kg) - ~495PP

Weird how the TC only has 20PP more with all that downforce.
