NFS Shift is only £3 used right now, is it worth picking up just to screw around with the livery editor? I'm not a fan of the handling in the game but for £3 I can tolerate it for the livery editor.
I'd like a simple editor in GT6 at the minimum. I don't expect something to rival Forza, but something like GRiD's system would be fantastic.
Onboy123From my experiences with it, it was just about the single most frustrating to operate in the game apart from the actual driving. I was hoping for some pre-made liveries like there was in Most Wanted, but hey…Only issue I have is to replicate the livery on both sides…still don't get how to do so after so long with it. Mind you, I was 12 when I used it, 2 years ago. My patience has grown in those 2 years, so I don't know, maybe it'll be better now.
One thing though, buy a R34 GTR, do all the performance bits to it, and before you "RM" it, look at the power relative to its theoretic top speed and just laugh. 750ish HP and a supposed 320+MPH.
Mazda RX-7 Spirit R type A '02
Kratos
Sounds alright then. 👍It's decent. From basic shapes to sponsor stickers and some more complex shaped accompanied by the usual size/rotation/skew/etc. options.
Only downside is the cooler designs have a level lock. I think they've recently closed the online servers for it, so leveling up won't be as quick and easy. But, for 3 quid, I might put up with it since I sold my xbox long ago, so no Forza for this guy.
(I'm actually very biased against XBOX...)

I have a bit of patience with livery editors, having to replicate the design on the other side is a bit silly though, especially as ProStreet had a mirror option and I'm sure Undercover did too. For £3 though maybe I'll be less frustrated than you were.
Fastest car ever.
Dude, very serious advice. Avoid Shift 1 like the ****ing plague. The physics is appalling. Driving any car over a speed of say the speed limit, and you're suddenly driving on ice. If anything, this NFS is like EA's response to critics of the street racing series, they make the cars handle like 🤬 at over 70mph.
I just checked, it was 492hp.
But it's £3 and has an E36 BMW and Escort Cossie. I hate Shift's physics too but anything is tolerable for £3.
Shift 2 is unfortunately still £13 used. Why can't more people hate it so the prices fall faster.
It doesn't matter what it is, there's no difference between a R35 and a E36 and a bucket of manure in terms of driving. The most fun you can have is a race on a figure 8 course with 15 other Scion TCs who spend the full 20 laps running into each other.
Yea
Anyway on topic, after I'm done smashing my Scion TC to bits in NFS Shift, I'm going back to the sane world of GT5 and testing that other Scooby DB's one, that is.
Bought Shift 2 about the same time I got GT5. Was frustrated because of the difference in controls made this old man a horrible driver in both games. (Trying to use the wrong inputs on the other game...) Also had issues with the fact that I spent my in game money on upgrades for my car only to find out that it didn't qualify for the races my level allowed me to run anymore...then found I didn't have enough money to uninstall the upgrades so I could run races and earn more money. But it's £3 and has an E36 BMW and Escort Cossie. I use X/Square on GT5 and L2/R2 on NFS ProStreet. Switching between the two games destroys my ability to drive properly in either game.Liked Midnight Club L.A.s Customization and tuning options but the game hated my PS3 and kept locking it up, plus I'm not wild about racing on streets full of traffic and having to dodge cops every 5 minutes.
Figure 8 smashy smash? Fun! Would you say that it's worth £3 just to smash cars?
Also DaDog's and ACSR's cars tested and posted. 9 cars to go! 👍

Excuse you, Carbon was one of the 3 best NFS games ever for me.If Most Wanted was on PS3, I'd be playing that instead, but as its not and Carbon is a buggy lump of poo, ProStreet is the next best thing.
I've been having fun with the vinyls, made a couple of semi-replicas. Shame there limit on how many vinyls you can apply is so low.
In relevant news, I've just tested ACSR's RX-7 and DaDog's Hawkeye is up next today.
SureSend me a FR and share your bobs. I've got my grinder setup again in anticipation of hosting another shootout in the near future. I've got it wired now instead of wireless so it should run all night and day while I'm at work. 👍 I alway have one of your accounts on my PSN so whenever you can get on the other...
👍thank you , very nice time ... also thank you for the feedback , i will defenatly continue with this car after the shootout , might try it at some touge racing ....
Excuse you, Carbon was one of the 3 best NFS games ever for me.
I must have played through that whole game 6-7 times easily.
Shift is 🤬 awful, if you didn't like Carbon, I can't imagine how much you'll hate Shift.
Buggy? You'll see...
Sure
Don't say things like that...just picked up a used copy of Pro Street today.the one thing i found to be super hard was the pro-street super long races.. those were so ****ing hard for me... here drive 20 miles at 200mph+ and dont wreck.. go!
Thanks Ryan.👍👍ok 48/49 cars tested waiting on ugabugaz to put his lfa back on share >< can find the times here cars that were tested were the 550's of Xdes, Rj, Motor City, and Solidsnake.

You're only halfway there, I'm afraid. There's still the short reviews to be done. Take your time though, we're in no rush.
