Nice race, guys, and congratulations to MadMax! Incredible driving.

Does anyone have any good war stories then? Mine is quite simple.

After all my trouble joining (which delayed the race greatly) I finally got in. By then i definitely thought that you had started the race. But turns out you hadn't. Didn't get a chance to quali but seemed like some others was also unable to qualify for some reason which left me 8th at the start.

Starting the race MadBeater stalled or something right in front of me, i ran in to him and got stuck. I had to reverse but by then he got going and i chased after him. After half a lap his network gave up on him and i was far behind everyone else.

Got some great laps in and caught up with theirishman. But wow was he hard to pass. even though i were 2 seconds per lap faster than him i couldn't get by and once i got past he took the place back by some mild crashing in to me  .

After a while i got past though and by then I was about 30 seconds behind the leader. But was catching Cleartec fast. I caught him up somewhere round lap 12 and passed easily on the main straight.

When i got away from him a bit i couldn't see that i would pass anyone else in the race because everyone else was way ahead so i just kept being consistent in case someone would crash.

And then all of the sudden starting lap 24 TyrellRacing emerged from the pits in front of me. apparently due to some bad tactics. I try to pass in the first corner but isn't close enough. But in the second corner he goes wide and i can pass on the inside. He's on my tail until the same spot next lap where he get his tail out big time and my 7th place is secure.

I feel pretty satisfied with that result. My lap times seem to have been slower than everyone in front of me so i probably wouldn't have made it much higher even without that start.

Forgot to do this...

Started off 3rd, after being denied 2nd by MadMax's Mad lap... (See what I did there..?) Got off to a good start with minimal wheelspin, but The_Boyce forced me wide as he got a better launch with 4WD. I kept the outside line around T1 and got him back into Turn 2, if you exclude the S after T1 as corners.

After a few laps I went wide and oversteered, and The_Boyce took 3rd place. I started to fall behind around lap 12 due to worn tyres, and I had to pit on lap 15 before Sumo caught up. I came out infront of Nikodemus, although he was quite a way behind. I finally caught the back up, overtaking Sumo as he was still in the pits (haha eat that, my strategy was bitter bitch!)

I got onto the main straight just as The_Boyce and GTP_Mareulos were exiting the pits. Great, looked like I still had a race! I was catching pretty rapidly, but then The_Boyce caught up to Tyrrell who was on a weird strategy and Boyce got a monumental toe down the back straight, leaving me behind again. After that, it was just a case of bringing the ol' pink warhorse home.

Unfortunately the start got sort of messed up for me. I had loads of waiting at the black screen that comes on before each race start, and when I could finally see again, the race had begun, and people were halfway up to the first corner :indiff:

I catched up to theirishman and after some battling and bumping, I finally passed him. That was about all the action I got however. Nikodemus finally got past theirishman's 3000GT, and closed in on me swiftly. Soon he was right behind me, and at the second hairpin, I realised it was a battle I could only come out of as the loser. He passes, we follow up to the long straight, where my 160Nm isn't enough to claw back anything, even with slipstream. From then on it was just smooth sailing to the finish line, where I came in 9th :)

Best lap was 1:10.846, without slipstreaming.

I stared the race down in 7th and for the first few laps remained there until I started catching paul and sumo, I got pretty close a few times and very nearly had paul on the final turn but thought better of it. After that, I got quite far behind them, but still had quite a considerable lead on niko, in 8th.

Everyone pitted at around the 14th lap, but my times were steadily falling, so I stayed out, hoping to slipstream the front runners who would just be exiting the pits. I planned on pitting on lap 24 so I would only have one lap with the cold tyres. In the end, I pitted on lap 23 as TeamLotus was right behind me and it could have got messy on the final turn.

It evidently didn't work as I exited just in front of niko and the cold tyres made braking very difficult and he got through. I was still very close to him but over eagerness meant the squirrely Nissan spun a bit much and ended the chase.

I think my best lap time was about 1:10:2, with slipstreaming.

I was up to 6th after a lap and slowly went down the field, because of my slow pace about 1:13.5 was my average lap.

I love reading all the race stories :) I remember seeing TL leaving the pits when i came in. That was probably the closest i got to him all race. Ended up 30 seconds behind in the end right?

My best lap was 1:10:020

Well, you drove like your a... *ahem* buttocks were on fire, to catch up

It was quite impressive, I could only let you pass 👍

Hah. Would love to see this in real motorsport.
"Thanks for letting me through!" "
"No worries!"

Well, it's not like I just gave it to him

But he was much faster than me, so there was really not point in vigorously defending my position, and when he had complety caught up to me, he pretty much overtook me the moment it was possible.

There was no way I could keep the Sileighty behind me for over half the race.

Haha well that's nice isn't it? You should be kind to your fellow racers :)

I wonder how the team standings looks after this race.. how many are there from the different makes?

Mitsubishi 3
Toyota 3
Nissan 3
Mazda 2 (counting MadBeater)

Maybe if i count the top two from every team i can get some kind of standing ^^

Edit: And no he didn't just step aside and let me take the place. I overtook him and he didn't do anything stupid like using me as an extra brake in the corners ^^

Well, why not just count everyone in?

Mitsubishi leads with 41 pts.

Toyota comes in second with 28 pts.

Nissan is third with 22 pts.

Mazda is fourth with only 10 pts.

Then you could perhaps divide these points with the number of people in each team, so it gives a good idea of how good the different cars are.

Ok with my system (two best of every team.. a bit unfair to mazda i guess)

Code:
Team Points
Mitsubishi	40
Toyota 26
Nissan 18
Mazda 10

Dividing with number of drivers.

Code:
Team Points
Mitsubishi	13.67
Mazda 10
Toyota 9.33
Nissan 7.33

Edit: Question is if MadBeater really counts.. well in my system that doesn't really matter does it.

I don't think Mazda should be divided, since technically, only one car participated.

To make it most fair, only divide by the number of that participated for the marque in each race. So, if only two Toyota driver enters next time, only divide by two.

True, i will change that. (Doesn't look good for my team though ^^ was hoping for those skylines.. but now there's only one)

I just thought I'd ask.. what happened the time i wasn't in the lobby trying to get in?

Were there any guys dropping out because of the delay?

And the qualifying, what was the top time and why didn't everybody do a time?
