Nothing really, everyone was patient. Ofcourse we wanted to get a move on but we held it out as long as possible.

And I am not sure why everyone didnt do a time. I thought you got one in?

Nope I didn't get any lap in, I was half a lap away from it, that was enough for eighth though. But what was the top times in quali?

Anyway thanks everyone for waiting for me! <3

Top time was 1:09.3 I think, I got a 1.09.5 out of the Skyline and that was all I could get out of it.

About the same pole as last year then. That means I probably wouldn't have started in the top anyway. Then it really doesn't matter that i didn't get there in time :) now i'll start looking forward to next week.

Yeah about that. How was the race in the top? We have only got race reports from the bottom and middle field. Was it all smooth sailing leading from start to finish for you MadMax?

I'll make a race report and post some pictures soon ;)

I was at the front you git. Or atleast I had view of the front for the majority. :P

Haha sorry TL I forgot that you were in the top ^^ but the absolute top then. The podium guys.

My race report:

Lap 1-4: I start in 2nd place. I had a decent start and went into turn one still in 2nd place. I got a small push from "The_Boyce" but it didn't do any harm. "GTP_MadMax86" was out in front while "TeamLotus_Eclat" was having a fight for 3rd place with "The_Boyce"
For the next couple of laps, I'm trying to hold to "GTP_MadMax86", I'm 1sec behind, but I can't get any closer to make a move.
Lap 5: "The_Boyce" takes 3rd place and starts to close in on me while I'm still 1sec behind the race leader.
Lap 9: I'm running wide in the midlle of the track causing "The_Boyce" is within 1sec of me and I'm 2.2 behind "GTP_MadMax86" now.
Lap 13: "The_Boyce" is right under my wing now and he's looking to make his move. In turn 1 he passes me on the inside
Lap 14: While I try to keep up with 2nd place, he goes to wide in turn 1. I see me chance and I can outbrake him into turn 2 wich puts me back in 2nd place. While we were battling, "GTP_MadMax86" managed to create a 3sec gap.
Lap 15: I feel that I'm losing to much time while battling to hold on to 2nd place, I decide to pit.
Lap 16: I'm lucky when I'm leaving the pits, no slow traffic in front of me, and no one behind me. At that point I'm 5th.
Lap 17: I try to make up as much time as I can while I'm running all alone.
Lap 18: While "The_Boyce" is pitting I manage te sneak past him, only just
Lap 19: I manage to make a 1.5sec gap on "The_Boyce" because he's still on cold tyres. "GTP_MadMax86" is 3.3sec in front of me, while "Sumo098" (p1) and "TyrrellRacing" (p2) still have to make their pitstop.
Lap 20: Closing in on "TyrrellRacing" fast. I dive inside on turn 4 and grab 3rd place 3sec behind "GTP_MadMax86"
Lap 21: I'm trying to push as hard as I can to try and close the gap on the leader. While I'm doing this I have opened a nice gap on "The_Boyce" (+3sec)
Lap 22-25: I'm not really closing in one p1 and I have a nice gap on p3.
Lap 25: I finish 2nd, 2.134sec behind "GTP_MadMax86" and 2.720sec in front of "The_Boyce", and I'm quite happy with that result :)

Was it all smooth sailing leading from start to finish for you MadMax?

Pretty much , overall good race for me without any off-track time.

This is what I remember from the race:
I got good launch into the turn 1 taking the inside line.
First couple of laps I went easy on the tyres just to get them warm up.
After that I did 1'09's till lap 9 , after which my lap times dropped to 1'10's .
On lap 17 (I think) I pitted for new tyres and came out of pits taking 3rd or 4th place.
Again few laps of tyre wam up and the rest gunning it to close in the 18 second gap to Sumo.
Once I was up to 2nd I started chasing Sumo , gaining about 0.7 per lap and in the last laps before he pitted I caught up to 1.5-2 seconds / lap.
Back in first place at lap 20 something , few more laps to go and I saw GTP_Manuelos closing in.
I focused on the driving , ignored splits and gap times just focused on the track.
Last lap , last corner I drove near the pit wall to greet the unexistent pit crew.

Great stories and really nice pics (too bad i was too far behind to be in most of them). I think I'll have to change my story. I definitely didn't start 8th. I started last and I have no idea where I got that other idea from ^^ Anyway after the start crash I was really dead last.

Totally looking forward :) Have you tested all cars top speeds or will that be a bit of a surprise on saturday?

Worked last year. Like i said, im lazy, and right now all my testing efforts are going into a new series im making. What new series i hear you ask? Well you will have to find out whem i release it! Mwahahaha. Ok it's a FIA GT1 series.

Yeah it did :) don't think any is really much slower or faster from what i've seen. No one will get away from the others without slipstream in other words.

Well you already told us didn't you? ^^ I've never followed GT1 so i don't know what it's about but I'm interested when it gets going.

I've never followed it either but I like the theory. :)

The Corvette Z06, Ford GT, Lamborghini Murcielago and the Nissan GT-R all charging around a track on the edge of grip whilst fighting for position, what's not to like? :)

When you put it that way i totally agree, what's not to like? :) Reeeally nice cars. But in what form are they in GT1?

No, took me hours to tune them within about 0.1 secs of each other. I literally just finished it as you sent that message, Nissan was the last one to tune.

Will be on Friday afternoons probably. That a problemo for you?

Double post, I'm naughty! :embarrassed:

No problem right now no. No idea what happens in the future. My school schedule is quite shifty ^^
