Just an update on the next series...

I have looked through the Car Dealerships, and I am about to test the following cars:

Acura NSX '91 - 433pp
Mazda efini RX-7 Type R (FD) '91 - 434pp
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR '96 - 442pp
Nissan Silvia Spec-R AERO (S15) '02 - 433pp
Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX TT 2SEATER (Z32) '89 - 440pp
Toyota Supra 3.0GT Turbo A '88 - 429pp

Well that didn't go brilliantly... despite the seemingly close specs of each car, the results were:

Mitsubishi Evo - 1.16.2
Nissan Fairlady - 1.17
Mazda RX-7 - 1.16.5
Nissan Silvia - 1.16.6
Acura NSX - 1.16.2

Edit: How would people feel about a Classic Sports Car series?

Cobras, Stingrays, Challengers, etc.

That would be cool. Or how about a hot hatch championship- Golf GTI, Swift Sport, Cooper S, Alfa 147 etc. (Don't know how they match up)? Or maybe a one make race which means you wouldn't have to worry about discrepancies in performance?
As long as the cars are even I don't really mind :)👍

Classics sounds fun! One make did also sound good but then there's the thing about choosing car ^^

+1 for this. Though the Swift is a closer match to the March.

147 and Golf are near identical.

The Mini is too quick for any of these.

Oh well, I was simply expressing my support of the Hot Hatch idea. Love those little cars :)

Will be interesting to see how the classic cars compare.

That seems close enough to me, save the 300ZX.

Or maybe I'm being short sighted cause I would love to run the eFini RX-7 in a series. :D

Can't you just add some weight to the fastest cars so that there a bit more evenly matched?!

If I was to race untuned cars only, I would want them to be like this series, just totally stock.

If not, I would want to do something completely new, which is what I am now doing.

Ok, I have come to another decision on what I am doing.

I will be continuing with the Japanese theme, and I will be using the cars I listed earlier in the thread,

Acura NSX '91 - 433pp
Mazda efini RX-7 Type R (FD) '91 - 434pp
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR '96 - 442pp
Nissan Silvia Spec-R AERO (S15) '02 - 433pp
Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX TT 2SEATER (Z32) '89 - 440pp
Toyota Supra 3.0GT Turbo A '88 - 429pp

Tuning will be done to each car to make them competitive with eachother.

May add a Skyline to the mix too ;)

Sounds great! :)👍

I like the RX-7 for the same reason... maybe our "nimbleness" preferences are different.

Likewise :)

PS. Eclat, when do you think the new Japanese Series will start?

Well, hopefully the thread will be up by this weekend, and if we can get the majority of the Japanese Classic crowd in, and some newbies, maybe 3 weeks latest.

I thought Swedes don't like Finnish sportsmen :P

Eclat, you don't know jack about 4WD, they are for the guys who actually want to drive :sly:
