Why wait till next season? Pick a car or join one of the teams already and start racing. You can join up till October 31st, and the season ends November 1st.

Well, one driver has completed the season already. ;)

Blimey! What's he going to do for the rest of October then? :dopey:
I was tempted to run more yesterday, but I figured I'd pace myself over the coming weeks in order to keep things interesting, since Sunday Cup & Grand-Prix-Classics have ended, September Time Trials is over, no-one has come up with another Top Gear Comparo yet and Audi's Le Mans Prototype Series is looking like a non-starter, there not much other racing to be done. :(

Well if you want more racing, Its just a matter of changing the names and picking the appropriate tracks and a new racing series is born. The hardest part is the banner and hosting it when you get it done.

Can we make more than 1 submission for the same race if we're not on-pace with the leaders, or are our times final once PM'd to you?

Your Loctite Zexel GT-R is no match for my Pennzoil Nismo GT-R. :sly:

I'll bet you an "internets" that it is! :mischievous:

We might even employ race numbers, like the ones on cars for a purely decorative touch.

Can I change my racing number to: 42?
To avoid confusion with Crooooooow who is also in a #1 car.

Either you're quoting a word used by George W. Bush, or you're implying he is an ignorance when it comes to the internet. Don't pick on my man Bush, and especially don't pick on my main man Reagan, or else I'll talk, and personally kick, some sense into any offenders. :sly:

I'd rather be #24. Or maybe even #25. But check this out... the #1 represents my position in this competition, increasing my repetition. Put this on a petition. Peace, straight up. :sly:

I'm presuming you meant "an ignoramus", or "he is ignorant". :D
You can't be "an ignorance", unless of course you're quoting yet another great Bush-ism.
And yes, I meant "internets" as in:

It's a valid betting currency on, well, the internet. ;)

Did you mean "reputation"?
We don't want to hear you repeat yourself! :P
Oh, and a little premature methinks. We shall eagerly await the results...:mischievous:

You can submit as many times for a race as you want, until results for that race are posted or November 1st arrives. I will use the best one you send in. I doubt anyone is going to do Suzuka 1000km more then once though.

Sure you can change your number to 42.

I'd like to change my racing number to #23.

Also, I found another typo, BH-21. Undre rule 5, minimum is missing it's second "i." I feel like a major spelling Nazi now for some reason.

Edit: I must not be that great - Under should be spelled as Under, not undre....:dunce:

Any skylines left?

Take a look at the first post and see if you can figure it out. ;)
There's 2 of the Xanavi Skylines available, the Pennzoil Zexel and the '93 Calsonic.
There's also the Motul Pitwork Z still out there if you wanted the fastest JGTC car available. :scared:

Welcome back Boujack! :) No invitation needed, just go to post number one of this thread and pick yourself a car and get to driving. Also post which car you picked or whose team your joining with what car.

why haven't you told me this before i picked my car?:grumpy:

Ummm. You never asked!
I thought it was common knowledge that the Motul Z is the quickest JGTC, since it has more downforce available than any other JGTC car.
The WoodOne Supra '03 and Xanavi Nismo GT-R '03 are also quick, as is the Loctite Mugen NSX '01.
Sadly, though it's an '03 model, the Takata Dome NSX never quite lived up to expectations.

I guess while we're at it and I'm (possibly wrongly) assuming things are common knowledge, everyone who is driving a JGTC Skyline is short-shifting at around 6 - 6.5K RPM, right? There's a torque cliff that the Skyline motors just seem to fall right off if you run them to the redline or limiter, and they're generally, therefore, quicker if you shift earlier before you reach that dropoff. But you all knew that, right? ;)

Oh... Well, I guess I'm running some races again to get another couple seconds off of them tonight! Thanks for the info, Smallhorses!

so i picked quite a car:lol:
anway,i just tested it,woodone supra and that yellow skyline, and picked nsx because it had the least of the wheelspin:dunce:

In the hands of the AI for some reason it appears to be an absolute dog.
However, in the hands of anyone else it can be made competent and quick, and as you've noted it's MR layout is perfect for eliminating wheelspin, since as you get on the power and the back squats down with the weight of the engine stuffing the rear tyres into the tarmac, it tends to go, and go brilliantly.
The caveat, of course, as with most MR (and as I well know RR) cars, is if you lift-off the throttle or brake mid-turn, whereupon the drive-wheels suddenly get unloaded as the car weight shifts forwards, and all sorts of fun / brown-trousers* moments begin. :scared:

*Delete as applicable depending on if you're a drifter or a racer!

yeah,the car likes to drift,and i don't.
Tried tuning it and made it worse,so default setup for me:lol:

I remember trying to the the RUF Yellowbird to compete in the GVS endurance race, and, using the ballast, get the car relatively balanced so I could brake in mid-turn. However, when I did that, R1's would get a really dark red within 5 laps, compared to the JGTC's 7 or 8 laps. I ended up not finishing that race with that car... Maybe after this tourney I'll give it another shot.
