If you follow the events list in the first post, you do all the laps each event has. You really need to read the first post to know what is going on. Your several posts and comments really show that you haven't read the whole first post very well.

P.S. All racing tires are fair game.

One Inch Man and Petrolhead1 have the option of acting as a team or as individuals. I will consider you individuals unless you guys say otherwise.

And another question. On the Motegi Super Speedway, should you stay outside the inner white line all the time, or can we cut the two corners as much as we like, as long two tires stay on the tarmac? Could make a big difference.

And I like to mess up my times on my own. I don't see benefits in teaming up, personally.

If you keep two tires inside the white lines of the track you pretty much can do as you want. Cutting corners with all tires outside of the track lines is wrong.

Teaming up gives poorer drivers a chance to team with a better one to learn from.

And what do we do now? I've got just 5 races left.

what races have you done? i can catch up tomorrow and we can carry on from there and compare times

do we wanna pick a team name? and what tuning have you done to your car?

on second thoughts, better pm me from now on

Xanavi is already your team name as they are your sponsor. You guys should compare times and see who needs the help. So One Inch Man PM Petrolhead1 your times and go from there since you have the most done.

i was looking at my car last night, and i found out it's Xanavi, not Xavani, damn.

i always thought that Xavani sounded better, wouldn't you agree?

i only bought the car last night.

I guess while we're at it and I'm (possibly wrongly) assuming things are common knowledge, everyone who is driving a JGTC Skyline is short-shifting at around 6 - 6.5K RPM, right? There's a torque cliff that the Skyline motors just seem to fall right off if you run them to the redline or limiter, and they're generally, therefore, quicker if you shift earlier before you reach that dropoff. But you all knew that, right? ;)

Try it at 5750.

** Friendly Reminder **

Well, the intial grace period is over and any race which gets all its times submitted can be posted and finalized now. Remember once results are posted no new submissions for it will be accepted.

You have until October 31st to submit race times, what BH-21 is saying is that if he receives all the times from all the registered competitors for a particular race, let's say for example: Family Cup Event at Tsukuba, then the results will be posted for that race. Since the results are posted, you will then not be allowed to improve on your time as you'll have a goal to aim for. This also means that if a race is finalised, a late entering competitor will not be allowed to enter a time for that race and will automatically get a DNF, as they'd be at an unfair advantage, having seen everyone else's results before competing. It's the penalty for being late in the first place.

However, if you've already completed a race, let's say for example: Grand Valley Speedway 300km, but many other drivers haven't, and therefore the results aren't yet posted, then you'd be allowed to re-race the event again and submit another (improved) time. In this case because you've only got your own target time to beat, and not a result from other drivers to aim for, that's OK, and in the final reckoning BH-21 will only consider your fastest submitted time.
Basically you're free to run the events over & over again, and can submit faster & faster times until a results table goes up for that even, whereupon the event becomes locked to new entries and submissions.
If you want to run Suzuka 1000km on a nightly basis from now until October 31st or the results go up for that race, whichever comes sooner, then you're free (but possibly slightly mad ) to do so if you wish!!!

For the sake of BH-21's PM box and sanity though, I'd refrain from PM-ing him each time you make a 1/10th of a second improvement!
Basically just save your best replay which has your total time stamp on it for a particular event, if you race that event again and improve, save over the best replay until you're satisfied with your race and you know you're not going to race that particular event again (at least this is how I've been working, but there's no reason to keep your replays if you're short on mem-card space, you can just as easily write your times in a spreadsheet, or on a Post-It note!) Then submit your fastest time. Or wait until you've completed a full section, e.g. all of the All Japan GT Championship races and then submit all of your race times for them in one go.
At least that's what I've been working towards, with the exception of the Endurance Races which have been for the most part submitted 1 at a time!

you sure like to write a lot
anyway thanks for explanation

Oops, I have just the last two endurance events left and didn't save any replays.
i think you don't need to save replays unless you set a suspiciously fast time

Submitted all of my All Japan GT Championship races tonight which I've been working on over the past week or so, found some interesting tyre-combos for some races and made compromises for others.
So far my car has lost 3HP permanently from the miles crammed on it from a couple of attempts at GVS300km and the Tokyo 300km in addition to the Family Cup races too!
Just got the Suzuka 1000km to do now and looking forward to 172 laps of Suzukary goodness! :D

If we were to guess, I'd say you will probably win at least the endurance events.
I used no fancy tire combos, nor did I change the settings of the car for every race. Well, I did change the auto settings of the gearbox, but that was it.

Waves magic text editor. Poof! Your 99 Amkobih. The answer to your other question is, because they haven't changed their numbers from the ones on the car models in GT4.
