JPN Gran Turismo 5:Prologue Update confirmed!

I'm not going to completely believe the new cars are coming until they say it - but it'll probably happen. All they've said so far is the events are changing.

No, it does say, 'update to Spec II', and that's what the European/US version is called. So, normally we should get all the cars. Of course, there could be something fishy about it but my guess is that we should be fine after the update. Just relaxe and wait.
I will need to make some extra money for the new cars. Currently, I don't even have enough for a F40

Note that after updating, you'll lose your replays and the event data will be cleared although you'll keep all your credits and cars and any cleared events up to A class, so you won't need to do those again.

Well every time I reached the 100 million credit limit I just bought the most expensive car I could.
If they are 8 million (37 million new) that's 64 million to buy a F40 or GT40 with & still have 1/2 the credits for the F2007!

The first car i will buy is gonna be the RX7 spirit R or ER34.

And there will be probably a second update on 17 april, featuring the tuned IS-F, tuned RX7, RE amemiya FD and the two peugeots.

They won't add English text because only about 1% of the people that have the JP GT5p are not Japanese.

I really wish they would do that.... just make all the worlds prologues standard.. Im sure there would be some Japanese people who would like it in English also..

But with menu translations I think I can just about manage.

Still...a chance to test out how a turbo'd s2000 runs will be fun. I love the fact that they included the all red interior.

Maybe in the QTS, we can remove the turbo? ??? make it Naturally Aspirated. hmm...

Its not actualy an translation to english option, the Japanese site when viewd in English is totaly diverent from the Japanese language version. You have old news items you don't have the magazine covers and lots of other stuff.

We presume its going to be the same, but its a bit unclear at the moment -> Link

...the full contents of the update will be revealed later, but we're assuming it's the cars, extra track and additional features from the US and PAL versions, but don't quote us on that.

Update: sadly, this doesn't appear to be the case. Assuming it's the same Spec II that's currently greeting PAL owners of the game, the 400MB patch simply adds a few new options, such as switching off ABS, and lots of new online events including new Drift events.

At the moment thats not possible I checked the QTS on the amuse s2000, you can lower the power but only to 580 ps (Amuse has 626ps). The normal s2000 has about 250 - 260 ps stock, as far as I know.

If they are changing to the new S class they would have to add the new cars because the F40 was used in 1 of the driving missions
