JPN Gran Turismo 5:Prologue Update confirmed!

I've seen a few people stating that buying the PAL version would be a waste of money, so I just wanted to voice my opinion.

Your not paying £20/$40 for English text, your supporting PD, and supporting a company who gives us what we want, and I haven't seen too much of that lately. Just looking at the updates from the JP version to the PAL version, I'm very impressed, and personally have no problem giving more money to PD for thier great work on GT.

I wonder if PD will award credits for the S class cars that won't get transferred?

I remembered losing my car by selecting the wrong choice. I didn't know what the options were in the Japanese Version. I don't remember receiving any credits for losing a car.

Is it possible to sell our cars?

The right hand button when are choosing to get in a car is the sell button

I can't believe after 4 pages, you guys finally realized that the S-Class cars possibly are going to be wiped!

The NSX is the most expensive car in the A-Class.

Sell your duplicate S-Class cars, buy a boat load of NSX's and build your bank up. The A1 race is the way to go. For 2 1/2 minutes, you'll get 2 million bucks.

This is awesome news. I've been low on money and have been debating on whether to get the new GT5P or get GTA IV, but now the decision is easy since I already have the JPN version. Friday at noon in Japan works out to 11pm Thursday night EST, so I'll definitely attempt to get the update asap (the key word being ATTEMPT).

The only question I have is about online mode. Will I be stuck with JPN servers, or will I be able to choose US ones?

This is the only concern I have!!!!!as Im a Brit living in Japan,and most of my mate r from the uk!!!!!!
Also if i buy the uk pal version then will it work on my Japanese ps3??????
As uk Blu-ray movies dont????

Yes games are (for now) region free, so if you buy UK prologue it will work in Japan but Blu Ray movies (as you said) wont.

from what i understand the race results from c,b,a class will be carried over not s class,

so it leads to believe that all cars and prize money will be carried over no matter where you acquired them from

I have one race left to finish on s class - s6 i think - 10 lap suzuka - I'm currently trying this in the Nissan GTR - anyone else use this car for this race?

If the c,b and a class results are carried over, can we assume that the high speed ring is not used in a race until the s-class level?

I'll also be sad to lose the s-8 race - that race rocks, manouvering the audi's around to finish 1st and 2nd was a fresh challenge for a gt game.

dont get me excited robin. i own the japanese version. but today i was playing and i saw a couple pop ups. i was racing the one lap magic (suzuka mission race with the new gt-r). and this was after the update that was done on the 25th of this month. but i hope for the best.

Ha I wish. I haven't started it up yet today (update wont be here for another 10 hours); I'm probably going to spend a few hours today just collecting more money (currently have a little over 40mil) so hopefully when my S Class cars are wiped, I can just buy the F40 right away 👍 .

Could it be a quickly made statement and they only mean event info up to A class, because I believe there will be new S events for us to do and different cars to win. I sure they won't remove all our Ferrari's and prize money from S events. I'm going to risk it unless someone gets the download working before me and reports everything up to A is gone.

I think S-4 is the best for making money, 3.75 million every 2 minutes and buy all nsx's then do A1 for the 100,000,000 if your sure S prize money won't get carried over. In any case, I'll be trying to update my JPN copy tonight/morning at around 2-3 AM UK. Its around 8-9 PM tonight for America.

Just got the PAL prologue from a shop in town, my pre-order wasn't going to dispatched until 31st even though I ordered it weeks ago, so its now cancelled, thank you amazon.
