I don't have the JPN release, but am curious.. Does anyone know whether the update will give ALL the functionality of the Euro release (i.e extra cars and track) AND the Spec II update (i.e Option to turn ABS off)

Or will this just update the exisiting JPN version with the Spec II leaving it without the extra features of the Euro release?

so the race is on dudes...who will be first to confirm the updated jpn version will have all the content 100%.....man,its slooooowwwwwww!

Third attempt at the JPN update, first two failed after about 10 mins.
May as well try as my copy didn't turn up today (Gameplay)

Its slow but who cares, ER34 here i come. Or maybe the spirit R rx7 will be the first car i buy.

Got my PS3 on and updating in my room....currently using my Pentium II powered laptop downstairs. Im surprised to see my dl bar actually moving, but i guess since i have a slower broadband connection, the fact that the busy connection wont do 500kbs+ doesnt affect me.

Nice one guys, glad I checked back, just finished completing C events in the PAL version I just bought. Time to connect the Ethernet cable into the PS3 and get rid my linksys for a while.

Mine fails at between 5 - 7% each time. Im on attempt no 5. Its not a port forwarding problem because I tried plugging my PS3 directly into the modem but even at that it failed 4 times.

I do have a request for whoever gets the update done first...please post which (on screen) buttons you clicked on to get it to install so nobody else makes a mistake after the long download.

mine kept failing at arround 7% then I changed the upnp???? Setting in gt5 options and so far so good about 15% fingers crossed.

The reason I ask someone to do that is because when the online update released a few months ago, my first download attempt went perfectly, without errors. But then I hit the wrong button and it didnt install, so then I had to download it again, at which point it errored out about 5 times in a row.

At least there's a way to resume the download. Actually, JASE, since you had an issue, does the resume feature work?

- Im currently at about 25%. Keeping my fingers crossed.
