All sheets are update.
Overall table has had a massive shake up. Also some guys are now very heavy indeed. Remember if you go over the max possible weight tell me/joe as current weight penalty is halved for everyone then
 
I was 1220 before last nights race so with the win thats plus 60 right , that would put me 1280 kg
 
Limit is 1250 though right ?

Tbh I never saw this max thing. Perhaps Joe can explain?

I thought ballast was added until somebody can't add any more. Then it's halved. I know nothing of this cap
 
Well either way my limit is 1250 , so I am currently over the limit.

So you're now over max weight? Ill readjust all the spreadsheets. Now everyone has a weight cut :) thanks :P
 
Does that weight cut not defeat the point of the ballast system as the grids going to spread out again.
If we look at the next to tracks we can see that both tracks are a combination of fast and mid speed corners.
this favours the lexus and celica so they are going to finish well so if both of of the cars finish well there may be chance to hit the limit again after three races
what i suggest is they collect ballast till they can just about stay infront with mid grid guys thn cap it there they dont gain more or have any taken

I guess its something joe and zach have to discuss and decide by monday / tuesday id say .

I will prolly qualy early again this week , once the ballast issue is sorted .
 
Either Joe forgot to copy that success ballast is halved once max ballast is reached.

It is certainly in last seasons OP saying everybody's ballast is halved.

Or he has dropped that.

Either way, this is something Joe needs to clear up. I know as much as you guys.
 
Interesting how one replay has lag and the other doesnt .

Cam seemed to be ahead of Seth going into the corner so I feel Seth would have to yield or give more room to Cam going into turn 2 .

My 2 cents again , seems like a racing incident , nothing more .
 
i must have thought he was tucking behind me, got on the curb thinking i had more room and slid into his door. i was racing sloppy all day yesterday i was missing shifts, bouncing off the limiter all race, missing brake points etc. i just couldnt get into a groove for some reason

have we ever considered a grid start at the end of the warmup lap might make it interesting

My car also has a very crappy 1st gear , im horrible off the line .

I noticed the big tire smoking lag in the first clip just going into turn 1 and then noticed in another clip the lag again showing seth hit the tire barrier going into turn 1. What I think about the incident going into turn 2, has been sent to Zach. Lag had nothing to do with it in turn 2. 👍

In the pre season thread i pointed out that ballast alone doesn't affect the race results, it was proved last season and is being proved again now. We needed a HP and weight system. And to cyt ballast in half when someone reaches some limit? Is this for real lol
 
Grid start would massively favour the AWD Subaru
Plus how do you decide a start time?
whoever is last would say ready then you would go on the next minute
the scooby needs whatever advantage it can get

short first long second i could watch replay it would be easy to spot false starts with the blue bar below sector

The ballast system does work. It's maybe not as noticeable in these cars but it is an effective way of slowing down.

It is now round 5. There's going to be no major rule changes right now and no car regulation changes.

By all means suggest improvements for season 3, but do that via pm and not on the thread.
 
I'm running and gunning still so I didn't read all post vividly but I did take notice to 2 major issues. 1st the way Seth handle the responses to his incident was done perfectly so hats off to you Seth you could of got into a debate, but choose to handle it very professionally there. 👍 2nd issue is max weight. Due to the Celica only being allowed 1250kg max it would be an advantage to them if others cars are allowed more weight then them so I put the max at the Celica's max of 1250kg. If some drivers feel that this isn't fair still because we need full success ballast to even out the playing field then we can address that for season 3, eventho Zach & I have a plan that we have not released to the public just yet that might keep everyones intrest in mind here.
 
I'll post another video. On my end I was ahead at turn one going into turn two (according to the standings). So I took the normal line and thought he was hugging the curb.

notice around :07 to :09 he was on the curbing. I thought he'd stay there but obviously it was either lag or the game just had a glitch?

Cant wait to put on those softs at suzuka , car should be a killer .

Gave away my win last season here so ill go be going for it this time .

Ill probably qualify Thursday .
