Very Frustrating. I was cruising around at the back trying to make sure I did not get too much in the way and the system I presume decided that my pace was not fast enough so it kicked me out around lap 28. I reentered to at least watch the race and it kicked me out again so i shut it down. Technology is great when it works.

Agree totally. I was kicked out at lap 33 I believe. It`s very frustrating to stay up especially for the race and then end up with no points. That`s not funny at all :grumpy:

Anyone that raced gets points, just might not be as much as you like. Like I'll get 14th place points, and then the next person that exited will get 13th etc etc

Still need a replay with 14 people in it.

ok, dindn´t know that. thanks for info 👍

Just wanted to add that I enjoyed the race last night even though I made stupid mistakes again, I haven't had a clean race since the opening one at Tokyo.

My bad also for whoever it was I smashed into at the mini chicane in the middle sector, I was watching to see if you were going to run wide and give me space but I totally missed my braking point and rammed you. And lets not talk about my mistake at the main chicane exit I don't know how but I lost the back end and hit the inside wall. The best part of it was me reversing and driving back into the wall 3 times, if you watch the clip just imagine the Benny Hill theme tune. I also pitted twice and looking back that was a mistake too.

Overall it was enjoyable and well done to the top guys and uga on the victory.

As for this weeks race at Motegi, I think this needs a lot of practice to be hitting consistent times good enough to be in the top 5 for Qualifying.

I still feel really bad for missing Madrid, but, things are happening at home. In short, and, yet again, my mom and I might be leaving my dad.

However, this time, I'd be paying a lot more bills... at the age of 19. :yuck:

Anyways, since I cleared it up with alefin, and he didn't mind, I hope no one else minds?

Also, Wardez, to your credit, it looks like you didn't have much room to work with:

Weirdest of all, is that this same thing happened to me and Seth, but, Seth was in Wardez's spot, and turning left, into my right-rear quarter. When I finally got free, my Honda Civic (touring cars) went left, but he didn't. I even gave him enough room. That stewards inquiry took 4 hours...

Gonna do some laps on Motegi. I might have to switch back to my Laguna Seca setup since Motegi is a pretty flat track. If I do, I'll post it here as well. It's almost the same as the Madrid one except with stiffer springs.

Yea, that was me...
Kinda set off a chain of events that ruined my race a bit.
Managed to get back up to P3 before throwing it away again all by my self anyway, so no harm done I guess!

On to Motegi 👍

I'm all over the place on Motegi. What a weird track. Half the stuff I thought I knew about driving goes out the window on this track. I still don't know how to properly take like 4 corners..Doing consistent low 54's. Had one lap where everything went right (I think?) and got a 53.236. Tested without ballast - I'll add it back up once I learn the track.

Celica feels good balance wise for motegi so far i just dont have enough horsepower for the lap times here .

Car is too slow in the speed trap :(

You should be fine, at least you don't have a passenger's worth of kilos.

I might have to do an entirely different tune for Motegi for my Garaiya.

The turn one chicane with you and Fianked ruined my race.
You both bounced to the right when Fianked hit the chicane and you hit his Lexus respectively.
Unfortunately I bounced off you to the left into the wall...
Was well on track to make the chicane, damn GT5 crash physics screwed me over and I lost 20++s getting out.
Not your fault but bloody frustrating.

As you said on to Montegi, I did well here last time in a YMS GTR so I hope for good things. Hope. Havent had a clean run ever, keep getting caught in dramas

As I said earlier, I'm running hotlaps without ballast. I add ballast back in once I get comfortable with the track and my setup. No Ballast for now

I usually just do everything with ballast to try and get a perfect race setup .

Hopefully qualy will be close like at Madrid , I can see a Lexus on pole though.

I see...Once I pick a spot for the ballast (Usually the back, however 80 kg might push me too far into rear bias) I just adjust the Spring Rates to compensate. So if I set all the weight to the back I'll either increase the Rear SR, Decrease the Front SR or do both.

Still need a replay :(

I'll have replay up tonight for you Alefin!

There may be a incident report for the Madrid round, I received a matter to be investigated tonight.

On lighter note I ran 1'54's out of the box and dropped to low 1'53's within 10 laps. As soon as I pull out of the pits I expect to knock this down to the 1:52's on about 3/4 of a full tank. This place is so wide I see us having a good fun race here this weekend. 👍

Doesn`t look good for me. I`m 3sec slower :nervous:
Seen that I`m very bad at tuning, I don`t really know where to find that much time.

Im sure Joe or Bahamunda can help you out. 👍
Also I saw the Madrid replay before I deleted it, your front tires really go toast fast.

definitely move the ballast all the way to the rear of the car (this is for ll tracks). Loosen up the front sway bar more than the rear like 4/5 or 4/6. And at every track I find the most gain setting my lsd than anything else. My 1st lsd setup was 5/5/5 in the front and 5/10/5 in the rear which is what I run on most of my FR cars (the rear at-least), but this car gains serious out of the corner grunt with a high setup (but the car will rather apex late which is the complete opposite to the Celica & Rx-7). My rear lsd is 10/60/5 which is up from 10/39/5 from Madrid due to the fact that this track is wider. I expect to be running 10/58/5 on the rear and 10/45/5 on the front as a good balance around Motegi' (my madrid setup was 10/39/5 on the front btw) 👍

P1 Session: Best Lap Full Tank 1:53.736.
Busting out of 1:53's on a full tank seems out of reach for me, but you never know?,... Well see'
