Thanks for restarting, but carry on guys, it's getting too late. Have a good race.
Sorry about the late start guys. We spent too much time trying to figure out how to start. We're going to have to make that more explicit before race time comes around in the future.
On a side note, I accidentally exited the track when I saw the leaders coming up on me after I crashed lol. Oops

Cool, that fast lap was done when I started using the dark side of the force trying to catch you dude xD
Yeah nice race. Really fun battle between ugabugaz and me for a few laps. I made a few little mistakes in the beginning 'cause honestly, I saw uga catching up like a demon and was pretty dumbfounded at that. I instantly switched off Vettel mode (not willingly) and made a little trip up here, scrubbed speed there, and he caught up. Then we had a pretty intense chase going for a few laps where he got pretty close but was very very cordial and had great racecraft (didn't try and overtake me on the straight with the draft) but then I got passed up by him after I messed up putting a little bit too much throttle coming out of the last hairpin. But I was able to stay right with him after lighting the fire and catching up. Then I should've taken his example and not attempted a pass on the pitstraight because on this one lap I got a really good run on him coming out of the last hairpin and had all the speed to make a pass. He knew this so defended to the left a bit kind of suggesting I shouldn't try a pass but I went for it anyway, but I just mistimed it and ended up taking the pitwall barrier head-on, apply directly to the forehead.
If this was real life, I would've been dead D:
Race was over after that, but I kept on. I pitted on lap 21, lap early, and he pitted like on 25? so I felt like maybe he could make a big mistake on the end of the first stint since he was taking them so far, but he kept it together nicely. On the first part of my second stint I was able to get down to 5 seconds off his bumper but then my tires started getting really ripped up so my bid ended there. Great race though, looking forward to seeing how the next one goes. Congrat's to ugabugaz and every one else that had a clean race. + he had 20kg more weight than me! I really gotta sit down and figure out Madrid some day, it's slapped me into place more times than I care to remember.
Yeah that was fun playing the gap game for a while. I guess whatever tune I had wasn't as great on tires, but it was most probably due to me over driving the car as well.
I definitely remember you being quicker in that last hairpin, I actually started to get a real hang of it after seeing your line which let me hit those couple sub 21s in the second stint. I needed just a bit more time to get all my marks more properly arranged for optimal lap times. I did a lot of learning during the race itself. I was only able to practice for an hour before doing my qualifying, then just popped into the room to race.
You drove a great offense though, knew to keep steady and safe to put the right amount of pressure on. And your defense was excellent yourself. You knew I was going to try and take you on the front straight with the draft on the lap or two before my collision and you broke just perfectly late along with me going into the chicane and we both just barely held it, that was awesome, another highlight moment for sure.
