Yeah, that too hehe

This is a minor thing in my mind and can change depending on how you guys feel about it, what timer length, when to "stop" racing etc

yeah I understand that part, but if your in a battle for 5th on the lead lap I don't

What do you guys suggest?

It's much easier if we let the game sort it out so the ending results are what your final position is. I actually prefer it that way, but used this policy it so I wouldn't be bothered about complaints of CPU drivers lol.

I think if your lapped when the race finishes you are entitled to finish your lap but once you cross the line you must maintain your position, as in real life,

OK, so basically race to the start/finish line once the timer pops up, no matter what lap you're on and after you pass the finish line you stay in your position.

I'm covering 2 threads at the moment, sorry, my passion took over

So do you guys agree with the real-life policy for the end of the race? It's the same one as in GTRRL.

I say race till the timer runs out. Sometimes it's an accomplishment in itself to finish within 2 and a half mins of the leader

Its worked in GTTRL, ain't broke dont fix it.
However what needs fixing is the 2 by 2 start and pace lap as people would abuse it.
I think same rules as the Nurburgring start should be issued.

That's usually how I race, but I think people here are more used to the "finish the lap you're on" way.

If we do it the real-life way (and I've messaged Joe about it so he has the final say), I'm going to implement a penalty for people that make up extra positions after they've passed the start/finish line. Like you get dropped 2 spots from what you should have been. Of course there are exceptions, like it's really close for someone that's a lap down between 2 people, so I can understand that.

But other than that, I don't need the extra work :sly:. I'm already checking the replays for other things so when the game's "race results" screen pops up, I expect it to be correct lol

well the nord race today was my first GTP race since my return where I finished out of the top 5 and a lap down, but the missus just told me I was falling into micro sleeps during the race, I had been up all night waiting for DTM, which didn't get happening until 5am,

alefin, I will support your decision either way, your one of the better hosts on GTP

I don't think there is a better host, he's there 99.9% of the time. Honestly it's like he's always got half an eye on the threads.

I will use the premium subaru. However, i am currently in the middle of a 24h Nurburgring race. And since I have a very busy life, I may not be able to participate in the first 2 or 3 rounds. (depending on how long it takes me to finish this race.) Sounds like a great series 👍

After going over what Afelin said about the finish line situation it definitly should go the way he said for 2 reasons. First it's more realistic to a real race when the winner crosses the finish line and the remander of the pack finishes that last lap. And second since Afelin is doing all the calculations it would make his job easier so he doesn't get stressed out.

Btw: Afelin it's our series not just mine buddy, we started this together and it would of not worked without you!

Might I suggest doing the allotted time to finish as the pace of the slowest qualifying time? For instance Tokyo reverse. The slowest time in qualifying is 1:43- that would be 103 (round down to 100) seconds. That would mean that anyone a lap down would still finish their lap down but would finish the same amount of laps.

I've decided to go with the ARTA Garaiya. I tested a few cars I really liked, I was even able to get a little faster lap time in the MR-S but in the Garaiya I was able to keep a faster pace.

1.40.5 is the time to aim for at the minute, although it was a sweet lap and not east to replicate regularly.

Had an hour to do some tuning and lapping and was able to drop into the 1:39.7s with 1:39.60 as a theoretical best.

Once I get the car properly dialed, I think 1:39.5s are doable, but idk if I'll get the chance to really nail down the setup and run a great lap.

Have never even driven the reverse track and I suck at he forward track. Add in the fact there are many fast guys up front and that I have no time for a proper practice session the absolute best I can expect is a midpack finish.

Couple of questions. Is that at 364 HP - 1180KG, do you have (Tire Wear + Real Grip = ON), and was this in a Lounge?

If yes to all, I have some practicing/tuning to do..
