Both of you are running the Lexus and can get the car to track much faster than I can. I realize some of that is pure driving skill but I want to understand how much is driver and how much is equipment setup. It is difficult in this series to get anyone to share information which I find rather interesting. Would you be willing to share your setup information to a downtrodden and misfortune back marker...Bob

I have no skill! But I am a techy and my spreadsheets are starting to really work out for me.

Here's my somewhat starting point tune for tracks with little elevation change. There's some mods already fro Monza but this is pretty close to my "base" tune. From here I may do some things to get more drive out of the chicane.

Take it with a grain of salt though man. I've only been playing this game seriously since the start of this series. I've done about 100km with this car at Monza on Monday. Running a 1:51.785 as my best lap time no draft full tank warm tires.

No ABS, No TCS.

Tyler: Thanks for the help. I noticed that you do not have the stage 3 engine installed. You need to get it under the tuning section on the main page. It will give you an increased boost so you should be even faster...Bob

Um... wow. User error! Guys does this tune make a difference? Going on track now to see. Hahaha 7 rounds and I've been running w/o this upgrade.

Edit: This engine tune 3 really hasn't helped my lap times. Infact i'm a little slower? My gearbox changed after the upgrade and I've almost got it back where I want it. Seems weird.

Could I be loosing torque since I have to retard the engine more to get the regulation HP? Probably has to do with my transmission and some mental aspect to it.

29/46... I increased it to 31/49...

Too much downforce here pushes the car towards understeer.

I'm curious what skeng and uga's times are (without his dead bodies in the trunk).

I'm thinking 1:50.5 is possible.
 
So, T1 chicane is absolutely bonkers. In the stints with Joe, PLC, Zack, and Seth its pretty rough under braking to decide who has the line. Well zack "the lawn mower" just uses the "outside line" aka the the grass.

Anyway... What's the best way to manage T1? 1/2 a car length gets the line?

Lol T1 10m too soon or late on brakes ruins the corner. Turning in half a second too late or too soon ruins the corner.

I tend to straight line it, but that needs a suspension setup that can handle the rough ride you get without spinning you out.
 
I've got a lot of downforce on my car still. 33/55 I think. I could trim that out and get some more speed out of the car. But doing that makes it harder to get slowed for the chicanes. It's a tradeoff here. Besides, the draft will keep people in play.
 
BOB, Im not on the forum throughout the day while at work. I've just caught up now mate, I'll give you my set-up when I load the game up in a bit and you can check to see if there's any difference in times. I haven't actually done any laps yet but will be on in a little while,
 
Doing mid 52's at 1320KG. Dunno if I can go faster. Perhaps lowering downforce might work on this power track. I'm running max right now.

It too always run max downforce. Your Arta is naturally slightly slower, but your weight for sure isn't helping

Haha just give some room and respect each other guys. Instead of being and idiot and cutting people up just give them enough room to work with and trust the guy not to clobber you off

I've already got an ARTA Garaiya tuned and ready, is it possible to just rock up and join you guys? What information do I need to Give and where? PSN [Ramiboo] (It's not GTP_Ramiboo).
 
Just get a car to spec and join. JoeTruck and Alefin are the people to talk to with regards to registration. 👍

If you feel like racing, then you're good to go. Just make sure you qualify before the race comes around, talk to one of the stewards here or on PSN.
 
I got my vote in. This is one series I have had alot of fun in. I'm staying for round two. :)
I've missed the last 2 races and I apologise. Things happen. I'll be here for this weekends race.

Ok thanks, ill get some practice later and qualify tomorrow or Friday.

Do I host the quali lounge or does the steward? What notice do the stewards need and what are the best GMT times for them?
 
Usually the steward will host a room. The more advance notice and accurate the time is, the better we can accommodate you.

Times doesn't really matter, we have people from all over, especially with advance notice.
