Personally, I don't understand why more people don't see this.
There's been a problem with cars, and events to use them in, going back to GT5. I recall when 450-550 was all the rage in the lobbies and having something 600PP or more was pointless both offline or online. It's the same game, over and over, with features removed.
GT5 is still the pinnacle with far more features than every iteration that followed it. Their removal of features speaks to a short staff, despite whatever they claim.
Because they've made super simple choices. American Cars in the Americas, European cars in Europe, and Asian cars in Asia...and, Tokyo gets all the love, I assume, because the 1 dude who is responsible for all of this loves Tokyo.
There are enough tracks if they bothered to fill out the events. For instance, why are there "Porsche Cup" races, but no Porsche Cup Championship? It would have made far more sense to have some other events, like a hot hatch race at the Nurb and then separate cup races for the manufacturers....but, like I said, the game screams of having too few people to do even the most simple task. And, really, a race is little more than using the custom race interface, so you can't claim that it's a chore.
Hopefully we get some more Chili Pepper races. There's far too few of those.
