Ferrari 330 P4 | Jaguar XJ13 - GR. X
J7VXJY.png

I wanted to drive the P4 for fun and I was mistaken that I had only adjusted the downforce for my tune. I spent a bit of time on it apparently. I think it's a fun ride. Because I found a tune that suited a trio of Gr. 1 cars earlier, I thought maybe this and the Jaguar XJ13 were essentially the same car physics-wise. They are, and they aren't identical. The 330 P4 prefers to take the 90 degree turns at Monza in 3rd, while the Jag needs 2nd to get enough turn in. Otherwise, the tune below works great for both. The Horsepower, Torque, Weight and Transmission are from the Ferrari 330P4 car. Just leave/put the specs for Jaguar XJ13 to factory specs. No mileage upgrades were done to the car(s).

Track - Autodrome Nazionale Monza

Many thanks the for this tune above Jerome . It works very good on the Jaguar XJ13 - GR. X but with my own gearbox and it works well on Racing Soft tyres too, and once again I enjoyed the driving this car with your setup 👍.

@Jump_Ace

Might you have a chance to tune the 458 Italia GT3 ‘13 (Gr. 3)? Looking to use that as my car for the new Gr. 3 event in GT League.

I created a few fictional racing liveries for it, so please feel free to use any of them for your accompanying photo. You should be able to find them since we’re connected on PSN.

Thanks!

Sure, I'll tune that up for you after I dig into the Daytona tonight ;)

Another 'Real McCcoy' of Japanese sports cars. This car's handling out of the box wasn't terrible. Still she needed a few tweaks here and there. I'm finding a lot of cars are responding well to max or near max sway bars and not having them balanced seems to have a negative effect on them. She should be stable for some post-apex aggression. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

Great car!!! Just used this for the Clubman Cup Nurb race and handled flawlessly. I saved the replay and gave you credit for the tune. Just search "supra" or "nurb".

Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe - Gr. X

I put down Suzuka as the track choice as I started there to get a feel for the car. I wasn't expecting such a fun and easy ride. I took her to Dragon Trail: Seaside and a couple other places cause I didn't want to stop driving her. I tried to keep her as balanced as possible, the only thing to look out for is shifting into 3rd at full throttle. I tried to negate a lot of that snap-torque, but she's forgiving enough that it shouldn't be an issue. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

My company is moving office this weekend, so I won't be able to get to this for probably another week or so, depending on how things go. But it's first on the list and if I can get a couple hours free time, I'll post it up 👍

Turns out you already did this one. I was thinking you had only done the Gr. 4 Italia.

Woot! It's hard to remember every car :P Does that mean there's enough cars now? I'd say, nearly!

Jerome,

Thanks for your tunes, and the way you list everything, its great.

I've presumed your ride heights are in inches, so for instance 3.82 inches x 25.4 = 97mm.

Thanks buddy. Yes, everything is listed for the North American version of the game. I'm in the minority, but I sure wish we'd adopt the metric system here in the states.

Hah hah ... but IMO, if we'd have known in Australia in 1966 that electronic calculators would come and be cheap - we'd never have changed to metrics in 1966. And from a building perspective, imperial kills metric; look at all the numbers that divide into 12! A freaky number. Metrics good for volume and water though.

There's never enough tunes, man. I hope you can continue doing what you do (at your pace, of course). I love your tunes. Haven't come across one I didn't like. As an amendment of my previous request, is there any chance you can do the Gr. 4 Italia?

My company's move to downtown PDX is done. There's tons of work left to do, so when I stop doing 12 hours days I'll get some more seat time. Maybe in the next couple days I can get to your Gr. 4 Italia and a couple other new cars.

I wish my wife was as forgiving as this car. Maybe if I was rich enough to own one, she would be, am I right, fellas? She won't care if you miss a braking point, she'll ease into a steady slide, even under load. I tried to remove as much downforce as possible to give her some extra speed and the dampers felt pretty good out of the box (I lowered the rear compression damper one notch to help get on the gas earlier). No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

I've used your setups in the past and I must say "they are awesome." I'm looking for the setup for the Jaguar F-type Gr3. Do you have this or can you make one at your convenience.

Jaguar F-Type - Gr. 3

If you brake late, expect the car to drift a little. I modified the dampers initially, but I 'think' I went back to stock settings after lowering the LSD. I find the LSD just simply gets in the way of tuning a car 95% of the time (hence the usual 5/5/5's). Anytime I lowered the rear DF and/or raised the rear RH she was unstable on exit. I did both and thats when I could bring the rear compression damper back up to the stock 55 setting which allows some nice apex turn in. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

In my garage you'll find stock tunes for some of my favorite cars and cars that seem to be difficult to drive. Bonus! I'll probably have a tune for every Honda because, #fanboi.

Thank you so much for sending me these tunes. I can't even imagine how many hours you must have spent doing these. If it wasn't for guys like you I don't think I would be playing this game. Because as you know without a good setup most of the cars suck to drive One question about these tunes. I didn't see if you changed from stock (power & weight) to the max. Once again thank you.

Thanks man. A tune 'normally' takes about an hour, usually a little less. Some cars it takes 2 hours and rarely does a car take 3-4, but a couple of them sure did

My tunes are all done with stock HP/Weight. The lone exception is the Mitsu Evo that I added 1% HP to make it have the advertised HP 276HP, IIRC.

I tuned the Fiat and GTR-3 Viper last night but ran out of time to post them. They should be up tonight. Plus a couple other randos I tuned a while back.
