I watched the replay of that and all I could do was shake my head at the moron. I think it's true what Toronado linked up, Kanye West MUST be retarded. Either that or have some undiscovered form of downs syndrome that only he has.

Class act by Beyonce though letting T.Swift come up and finish her acceptance speech! 👍👍 from me for that effort. Beyonce's record sales will go up for that simple fact alone that she is a classy lady, more people will listen to people with class than the next studio star that gets spat out to the public (ie. Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, etc. :yuck: ).

I loved the skit of Tracy McGrady with Eminem, that was quite good. 👍

Good ole Kanye up to his usual antics... I have hated that man with a passion since he hit the scene with that "Through the Wire" song... Also dont forget when he flipped out on TV when hurricane Katrina hit and he was on TV with Michael Meyers. He also made himself look like a fool there... Maybe he IS retarded?... :)

God I hate him after that, especially to do that to Taylor Swift who looked like a stunned bambi! (It doesnt help your case when you do such a thing to such an innocent looking girl).

I love her country music which is truely original, its no where near what I would normally listen to but hearing some of her songs I got hooked. She throughly deserves all the success she gets.

As for Kanye he was like some spoilt child, must have been his idea of chatting up Beyonce. He has won like a million things for his generic music and so has Beyonce so he has no right to steal someone elses show. At least Beyonce did the right thing and applauded Taylor.

It might have been a PR stunt for his new album.

Robin.

Don't think he was trying to 'chat up' Beyonce. Let's not forget that Beyonce is partner of Jay-Z who is effectively Kanye's boss. Looks more like a case of a** kissing that back-fired.

Guarantee the episode will find its way into one of Kanye's future raps though.

I thought he said he learned from watching the gay fish episode of South Park? Apparently not. Someone needs to knock him off his podium fast before he gets any worse.

BTW Kanye, this is why I don't buy your music.

I think it's that too. Beyonce's reaction was WTF!? to it all. Maybe Jay-Z should do a new song, instead of death of autotune....moment of silence, how about Death To Kanye....moment of applause.

I found it funny. But I'm guessing it was staged...like most things in the entertainment world. It got Taylor Swift more press and got Kanye even more press then he already has now. People read too much into the entertainment world's antics.

!

The thing is, I agreed with Kanye's point. I don't think Taylor Swift should have won (I think its fairly well-known here that I don't like her), but I disagree with the way things were handled. Of course, Beyonce did the right thing at the end of the night, and I commend her.

Someone mentioned it earlier...

...The lack of variety in the videos was very strange. There were a lot of videos from (lets call it) "less mainstream" bands that blew these ones out of the water.

* Side Note:

Really? Had no one ever heard of MUSE before?

And this surprises you how, exactly?

Can't believe no-one's mentioned his love for fish-sticks in his mouth yet ;)

Having a huge ego goes with the territory of being such a big star, but that's just a completely douche move. I think someone needs to bring him down a peg or two, or three by crashing one of his speeches in the future.

He's like school in August...no class. ;)

Good One 👍 What a JERK, why did security allow him to crash the stage? Do's he really think we give a rats 🤬 what his opinion on everything is?

This can't have been staged, I can't think of a good (and legitimate) reason as to why it would've been, but I sure as hell can think of why it wasn't.

I can think of one glaring reason why it was staged...how many people actually watch the VMA's? How many people still care about MTV for that matter? I'm pretty confident it was staged. Get the most obnoxious rapper out there to stop on the poor little innocent white girl and boom you generated a controversy which gets people interested again or at least paying attention.

Not to mention this is going to help both Kanye and Swift's music careers out greatly. It's a win, win, win, win for everyone.

I doubt MTV would be so stupid as to do stage something like that. It wasn't funny in any way - whereas the SBC/Eminem incident was.

Also... since when has Kanye had a career?

I don't know, watching it on YouTube I found it pretty amusing and to me it looked fairly planned.

And Kayne is one of the biggest rappers/producers around right now. I mean turn on the radio, the guy is on every song and featured by a ton of artist. Hell he was even on Mr Hudson's Supernova which ended up on Tiesto's Club Life podcast 3 times this summer. Kayne is huge. He's a terrible rapper, but I find him pretty entertaining never-the-less.

Are you sure you aren't just being biased? And to be honest I didn't even know who Taylor Swift was until the other day when Kate's little sister explained it to me. I just don't listen to that sort of music. Whereas I don't really listen to rap but it's almost impossible for me to avoid Kayne.

You're talking about the network that came up with TRL which featured years and years of the same videos played every day of the week in 20-second clips.

Variety got left in the 80s.

I watched it on YT too, and I didn't think it looked planned - from Taylor's perspective anyway. Whether it was planned on the Kanye side, it's a bit harder to tell.

Yes, I'm sure. ;)

There are three possible situations here:
1. Both Taylor and Kanye were in on it.
2. Only Kanye was in on it.
3. Kanye was being a typical douchebag.

Situation 1) I find very unlikely, Swift's reaction when it was announced that she had won was something you'd find very hard to fake (unless you're a pro actor. She's only been in two movies, which hardly qualifies as pro). That, and she looked genuinely disgusted when Kanye stole the mic.

If 2) is true, then MTV have shot themselves in the foot; as you said, they could've staged this because of flagging ratings. However, I can think of far better ways of getting everyone talking than ruining a young singers' first ever VMA award...

3) is imo the most likely, given West's track record.

i think hes got a huge ego issue! dont get me wrong im a fan of his, but hes a bit like cristiano ronaldo, great at what he does, but a total c***

i felt so sorry for taylor. congrats to her though! 👍
