Kazunori Yamauchi interview (GTChannel)

Too bad he so far they asked all the same generic questions as everyone has. :indiff:

Making teams is awesomeness, I cant wait to join a Benz club, a miata club... or something random even :D
and by making teams. does that counts with making a separated servers as well?

Great, even more of an emphasis on Japanese cars- that's really what the game needs :dunce: Did you hear him say how Japanese car like the NSX and GT-R are only now being revived? That could mean there will be a new NSX of sorts in the game. Who knows. I imagine some teams will be tuning garages from old games like Mad Finn Tuners, and Aussie Tuners, and Rec n Race Vehicles. I hope you can control who enters a team.

What he meant to say that all those new Super Sports cars from Japan are arrving for 2008 and 2009, and at the same time the game will be published. He is excited about having them in game.

Yes, and he mentioned the NSX as one of those. It's no secret a new NSX is supposedly in the works- are they going to drop it on us really soon? I always had the theory that game makers like GT series would get a look in at new models before they are displayed otherwise when the game finally comes out all the cars would be a year or 2 old already.

He mentioned the NSX as one of the cars came last Japanese sports car revolution back in the late 80's early 90's.

And then he says how some of these are starting to come back now, the only one I can think of so far is the GT-R unless you count the LF-A. Maybe I just want to read into it but I think there's a possiblity something was in what he said. I wonder how much dirty racing you would witness as a spectator? We might try and race clean but there are people out there who will try and win at all costs. Have they implemented something to stop the dirty racers in online battles?

I don't think he meant that thoes same car names are all being revived, just that type of car. The Japanese market is focusing on sportscars in a similar way again now as it was back then.

There may be a new NSX, but if memory serves, it shouldn't hit until 2010... and here's the kicker.

The most recent concept is an FR layout. :ouch:

I suppose with Ferrari, the marque they dealt the strongest blow to with the original NSX, going to a more FR-centric philosophy, perhaps Honda feels its the best course of action, and will allow them to be a direct market competitor with Aston and brands of that ilk as well ... but argh. Just ... argh.

Thanks for the videos. Don't understood all because my english is not the best, but I was amazed about the cars he has. I would sell that Mercedes Benz & the Nissan and buy a Shelby GT 500 :sly:

About what he said for the "online-comunities..." I hope that on GRAN TURISMO 5 we finally could do private races for example for friends, of just for kinds of cars (or even if they're as default... like on normal titles when we see the 4WD races, Boxter races...).

Polyphony, ¡ we need audio fixes for the GRAN TURISMO 5 !, add audio for online gaming communaction, add better audio for the sound of those cars, and improve the audio of the tires !!

Japan is having a revival of their iconic sports cars the same way the US is reviving their old muscle cars. The GT-R is probably the first example, however, the Supra, NSX and RX7 are all in progress of making a comeback as mentioned by specific automotive sources.
