You know that's technically against PSN's terms of service, don't be surprised if they start banning people over it.
For what? Playing the game it was intended? Don't be envy.

Forza 8 Motorsports needs to hurry up and steal GT7 thunder or lack there of. I would probably get it and possibly before GT7 if it realeases by end of 2022. I did get FH5 on PC, but photo mode is blah to GTS. So that was a few days of messing around before was bored - not my taste. Never played any FH games before.

Back on the absolute pitifull microtransanctions. If the GT7 content upon release was similar to GT2 or GT4. Then I would have no problems paying for add on download content. On the condition you get instant access to any add on cars paid for.
Horizon 5 is great. It's currently much bigger than GT7. Check the MC. :D

For a game that released some time before gt7, forza horizon sure has got a more comprehensive list of new and more recent cars.
It's amazing. If I want to check some car, I go there. And M7 has about 900 high quality cars and Forzavista. It's rather good to check the cars there when they are not accessible in GT7.

Funny thing is GT7 looks like a car game but you need to do few races all over again mostly with one car. :D There is no joy at all from anything because you would like to open other cars but it's not possible. Strange game!

KJF
In fairness they probably cannot tell the difference given playing the game manually and playing it with AHK is basically the same thing.
The only reason I say that is because I remember Tekken 7 banning players who farmed items in offline arcade mode using tool assisted gameplay.

I just got 2000 from my daily gift. No wonder everybody hates the game. :D Every time I see Sony how it laughs to me!

That's cool but AFK worked in H5 and it was done maybe by millions of players and they only got much more money than others.

Totally agree, I haven't played GT since GT4 came out. When 7 hit I was all in, ran to the store to purchase money to buy this game online. took forever to start up, only to go in maintenance mode (we know how long that was). It all went to hell, so badly disappointed I went back to watching youtube. My body is halfway on the sofa, and half off...lol dead.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

Kazunori Yamauchi Responds to Gran Turismo 7 Fan Outrage

Following one of the most difficult days in the 25-year history of Gran Turismo, series founder Kazunori Yamauchi has released a statement to fans regarding the future of Gran Turismo 7 — just two weeks into the title’s life...
If he expects the game to grow into something fans actually wanted then he should have released it as an Early access game, with suitable discount.

Fun fact, the Challenger DLC pack for Assetto Corsa Competizione that came out Wednesday, contains more 2022 model year cars than the entirety of GT7.

Those cars would make for some great one make races in GT7 Sport mode but oh well. I'll pick this DLC when it comes to the PS5 version of ACC, so in about a decade from now. 🙃

I'm sure Fifa do it too, although not sure if it's for remote play 'abuse'. They are very strict when it comes to their auction house though.

I would be surprised if PD do the same given the backlash they are recieving but that has probably never stopped games publishers in the past.

Funny thing is, even with this method I'm still nowhere near completing the set. I have around 150 cars, and the 20m or so in the bank will likely get blown on the McLaren F1. I'll then have to run the script another night to grab the GT40 MK1.

I just feel like now I have a strong base set of cars to choose from and don't feel restricted by the economy into playing the game a certain way. I can tune up my cars without having to justify it by grinding Fisherman's Ranch 4-5 times afterwards. I can just race with cars I want on tracks I like without worrying about the payout.

 Harsh, but fair.

But he does have a point: it's not a coincidence that this game has both MTX and forced online. It means Sony can apply the PSN terms of service apply and there are a few lines in there regarding these kinds of exploits, which they might throw at people when they feel they're costing them money directly. Not saying you shouldn't do this, but it's not 100% the same as, let's say, grinding GT PSP because of the online and MTX part, so just be careful. 👍

Horizon 5 is great. It's currently much bigger than GT7.
And it's certainly a better car collecting game because it allows you to, and I know this sounds crazy: actually collect cars. In multiple ways too.

Also pretty sure they Forza devs are watching the current debacle play out with great interest and are not looking to replicate the same scenario with FM8.

You can't just be a dick, say you are leaving the thread
Yes I can, check it out - (also I was never a dick, it's just easy to seem defensive when defending your viewpoint alone from multiple people (a lot of whom piling on the same tired points you've already addressed)
, and then get mad when people call you out on being a dick (also while apparently never leaving the thread.)
I never got mad, I got bored and tired - about 10hrs action in the thread - I ask you what kind of iron man endurance you expect in an internet argument?

And also did leave, but made a point to come back and address those who still had words for me; just with no interest in furthering the argument.

Reading comprehension levels are reaching all time lows.
Also, bringing up whataboutisms for people complaining about videos games is mindnumpingly painful to witness. People could just point out that the fact that you are playing video games is a symbol of inequality of resources and an improper use of natural resources. Besides, people are more than capable of handling a few things in the 15 or so hours they are awake a day.
I really struggle to understand what the hell you're talking about here, you started on fairly solid ground with the whataboutism stuff, but I really don't recall saying "what about X" and mostly kept my arguments to the game in hand.

If people want to have a meaningful discussion with me they should address the points of my argument rather than constantly attacking the structure which just devolves into pointless name-calling and pedantism. I know I made some points that challenge your viewpoints but that's what a healthy discussion is - not a circle jerk where you shun all dissenting voices, that's an echo chamber.

Tag/@ people when you talk dirt about them, it's the least courtesy you can do for trying to score internet points with my name in your mouth.

Classless.

  • Increase rewards in the events in the latter half of the World Circuits by approximately 100% on average.
  • Addition of high rewards for clearing the Circuit Experience in all Gold/All Bronze results.
  • Increase of rewards in Online Races.
  • Include a total of eight new one-hour Endurance Race events to Missions. These will also have higher reward settings.
  • Increase the upper limit of non-paid credits in player wallets from 20M Cr. to 100M Cr.
  • Increase the quantity of Used and Legend cars on offer at any given time.
Baby steps. I mean they had to do something, and it does mean we're not worrying about holding on to credits whilst waiting for the specific cars we want to appear. Why they can't just make all models available in Brand Central is beyond me.

I have developed an irrational hatred of Hagerty that I never knew I had. 🙃

  • Increase the payout value of limited time rewards as we develop as a live service.
  • Further World Circuit event additions.
  • Addition of Endurance Races to Missions including 24-hour races.
  • Ranking battles in Online Time Trials will be made more advantageous with rewards. earned based on achieving a time that is within +1%, +2%, +3%, and +5% of top time.
  • Make it so cars can be sold.
******* FINALLY! (Yet the cynic in me still thinks it'll be for 10% of the cars original worth)

Guess Kaz got roasted by his shareholders

Oh please... 😆

You think these changes were always on the cards, do you? "Let's remove the ability to sell cars only to add it as a feature later!"
I felt pretty assured we'd hear more soon - I think because I read Kaz's letter without filtering it thru the red mist of indignant gamer rage.

For it to arrive just the morning after I exasperated myself arguing this was probably coming is definitely cause for a chuckle.

I'm only human and can only try to refrain from being a certain level of smug...

...let's hope these come soon and are enough to calm down the angrier voices over payouts. Perhaps with light at the end of the tunnel for sure now, the "grind" we currently have won't seem quite so mindless?

Enjoy the game!

Its great news to me, going to make the game a bit easier to collect cars, forza horizon 5 was too easy, but a bit to difficult in gt7, horizon games is great racing games but they just don’t do it for me, prefer gran turismo, its going to be intresting to see how next forza motorsport is, right now there is just worries for me, i won’t buy am Xbox series x until i know that game will be special, right now zero excitement for me,

This makes me so happy. It sucked to see GT’s reputation in free fall but the backlash was very much warranted. 10 years to unlock everything is nuts and more like work than a game. Scratch that, it is work. Really glad PD listened and are making the necessary adjustments to amend the economy and add more content. The free million credits is nice, too. Overall, they pulled GT back from the brink - just in time, because more of the same was going to leave the series’ reputation in tatters.

Looks like the review bombing is worth it after all. Our “feedback” as Kaz calls it has been heard and changes are being made for the better as a direct result. They’re making these changes because the community put them under pressure. It is absolutely right that people demand what they deserve in return for a $70 game

Do you think they would have made these changes to the game if people weren’t voicing their frustrations? Or would they have left it as designed on release, you know, because it suited their microtransaction model.

Those are pretty-drastic moves right-off-the-bat. No stuffing around for PD now it seems.

IMHO, it's commendable, timely (pretty-quick response considering all those changes) and something peeps should be grateful for.

Showing our gratitude, as opposed to continuing to bitch about it, just may encourage further steps, not that I doubt they'll come anyway.

EDIT:
I thought they addressed the Nurburgring GP and Daytona cheaters with that stop-gap measure pretty-darn-quickly too. Kudos to PD.

And this is a practice that is pulled on first GT. 12,000 Cr. sold for any prize cars.
Remember kids bullying works
The negativity should be kept up even after this update.
In Kaz we trust. Shame a lot of people here don't.
It happened for a very good reason.

Actually, if this update happened due to our bitching, maybe continuting to bitch about it would be the way to encourage further steps, not showing gratitude as it'd make PD think their work is completely ok by that point. PD and GT's problems are far from only this MTX geared stuff.

The letter from Kaz was pretty unequivocal in stating that the protests had been heard, these changes are a result of the action you were accusing people of being childish for engaging in. Smug is the last thing you should be thinking of being, as without the review-bomb it's highly unlikely that we would be here and these changes would be in place!

The people you insulted just got you better payouts, Cr.1 million, and the ability to sell your cars. Or do you think it was always PDs intention to redo the majority of the in-game economy a month after release?

Do keep in mind that your advice to people was to not buy the next GT, action I'm 100% sure has not caused this about face from PD.
