I see PD continues the trend of wanting to add 50 different versions of the Skyline-GTR :banghead: instead of giving us at least one version of a Z car. 240Z, 280Z, 300ZX, 350Z or 370Z.

I guess it wouldn't be a true GT without half the games content being Skyline or GTR's. This will make 12 of them in the game now.
What are all 12? Race cars don't count because they are each substantially different between Gr. 4, Gr. 3, and Gr. B. So how many road car Skylines are there?

WoW! My dream Car!

Consider i own an E30 Chassis BMW car. But not an M3 of course, only an humble 316i. (Model '89) :-P
You can give it M3 style trim with a livery lol

Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo (Gr.X)
GT-R Gr.4 (Gr.4)
GT-R Gr.B Rally Car (Gr.B)
GT-R LM Nismo 2015 (Gr.1)
GT-R Nismo GT3 N24 Schulze Motorsport 2013 (Gr.3)
GT-R Premium Edition 2017 (N600)
GT-R Safety Car (Gr.X)
Skyline GT-R V-spec II (R32) 1994 (N300)
Skyline GT-R V-spec II Nür (R34) 2002 (N300)

I think the race cars do count. Nissan makes more models than just the GTR.
So why is every Nissan in the game (10) a GTR and looks like two more on the way.

@Rinsky

Well we disagree, look at that. Who woulda thought two people on the internet would think differently about something? :)

I get where you're coming from, but to me the big argument about clone cars in the GT series has always been the multiple road car variants that are different only in slight name change, year, and maybe the rims it's on.

Their won't be like 12 r33 like gt5/gt6. All the diffrent skyline models are not the same. And r33 is not in the game yet.

But there’s only 2 skylines in the game! ;)

Cool! Looks like I was wrong! Thanks

 yeah imagine that. Ok I'll take the race cars off the list then so that would make 3 GTR road cars in the game now and one more definitely one the way with a very strong possibility of a second one as well.
I really thought we would get a Z car this update but instead we are likely getting 2 more GTR's. Guess I'm just not very happy about their decision.

Skylines are GTR's so there are 3

Yes, and then I'm almost ready for the Fast and the Furious. lol

Technically the GT-R isn’t a skyline. It’s of the same heritage but isn’t actually a skyline. I know the world calls it so but it’s a bit like the whole hoover and jacuzzi thing.
This is the skyline successor to the R34

still no AE86. I'm a little surprised we haven't gotten that or any Silvias or a Z car yet. I'm sure they'll come eventually, PD have been doing pretty good lately with the older Japanese stuff we all grew up on in the classic GT games :)

That said, I'm not upset at all. I'm pretty stoked for the FC and E30. And that's as a non BMW guy too lol.

What if the Redbull cars are slightly changed and renamed like the Lotus 97T to Gran Turismo F1500T-A? I doubt it but there could be that weird chance. I am hyped for the GT40 and the Mach 40

They might be slotted into a Gr.2 that's been unused so far. GT500 cars are too fast for Gr.3, you would see the GT300 class among them.

Indeed, a sizable amount of GT300 cars are simply modified FIA GT3 cars, like the famed BMW Z4 GT3 that was sponsored by GoodSmile Racing. Then you've got cars mixed into them that weren't originally GT3, like the GT300 versions of the Mazda RX-7 FD, the Toyota Prius/MR2/Celica, Honda CR-Z, Subaru BR-Z/Legacy/WRX STI, and numerous others. I recall the Nissan 350Z was in a weird situation, wherein it was represented in both GT300 and GT500 between two separate seasons, and I think both the GT300 and GT500-spec versions are in one of the PS3-era games.

I'm not seeing the DB11 that a lot of you seem to be looking at or a DB9...it looks like hte Vanquish from the bond movie

Will the April 9th update only feature the Audi VGT and Toyota? Or will that have a full wave of new cars like this update? Just curious.

We don't know, although the news release for the Toyota GT Supra says "the April update" so that would refer to a main April update. That's all we know however
