My best guess:

Maybe he is saying that Yoshida shouldn't/doesn't talk about specifics of titles often and should stick to the PS as a whole.

And that he should consult production/marketing people who are in charge before he does speak specifics, but he did not.

It's possible, but surely Sony would have come out by now and corrected the mistake. Actually, they would have pulled it immediately. So, my guess is that it is legit info and they liked what happened to the Standard/Premium debate when it came out. So, the powers that be, let it go. Kaz is pissed though, as he should be.

I get the impression that Kaz is working on these features, but he doesn't know if he will have them in GT5 or not (for example weather might be causing framerate problems that he cannot fix yet etc). What he says on Twitter suggests that he is angry that they said these features will be in the final game, where it will end up looking very bad for him if they are not, even if he had no plans to include them in the first place.

Could easily go either way:

Word go out and KY had his thunder stolen. Maybe he is frustrated that there is no marketing coordination and he can't reveal his stuff as he wants. There was that whole thing about unanounced features still... and it wouldn't be the first leak that turned out accurate (remember that Japanese web page leak that first brought on the whole standard cars and cockpits thing).

Then it could also be that the quote is incorrect, the guy spoke out of turn and it's not true and now KY is pissed because he knows what that does to him and his team in this position. The GT world is in a pretty volatile state already, he doesn't really need fake news flying around especially from sources that should be trustworthy. It just builds expectations which then would get crushed.

I think we are all hoping for it to be true and accurate, but I sadly with GT, I don't think you can really count on that sort of thing much.

Yes. The guy says he's looking forward to GT5 and he's cheering Yamauchi on so he can finish the last parts before the release. After that, he says that it seems like there already is an outline of the time change system in the game, but what about the weather? he asks.

I'd say Polyphony Digital needs a PR person ASAP or a proper translator service ( sorry Translator-san ) at least to get rid of all this Babylonian speech confusion which only causes trouble ( we're not even sure we should be disappointed or jumping for joy half the time when something is said ).

To me it sounds like these are features that Kaz has been working on but might not make the cut because they aren't good enough for him.

Seems like Yoshida let the cat out of the bag because he knew Kaz was working on them all.

Apparently, the problem here is, Kaz hasn't even decided what features will be in the game at this point.

Evidently they work on all these features but he leaves the option for inclusion on them open until the last possible moment.

I don't know when the last possible moment is, but I would think it would have to be coming up pretty soon.

Reposting something i wrte on a different forum that i think it´s worth discussing at GTP:

If they are working on these features but didn´t decided to put in, then, how will they be integrated on the game? Isn´t GT Life done by now? If it´s done, then things like racing school and dynamic weather shouldn´t be last minute decisions.

I say this because those are the kind of features that would be throughly thought out during the process of game design, gameplay design. Weather should play a major role if it´s in, it should have special events and such... witch is kind of difficult if you throw them in at the last minute.

I´ve been following this game since 1997, so it pains me to say that i´m also on the "i´ll believe it when i see it"camp, because i was there when drag racing was supposed to be on GT2, online for GT4, damage as an update for Prologue...

Sounds like some of those features are not finished. It´s a shame. Out of the four new features i just hope dynamic weather makes in. It´s the most important IMO.

i remember a interview with a french driver that tryed gt5 in PD studios..
this interview is old now, i think 8 month, and he confirmed rain and tyre temperature.. i think weather is already confirmed time ago... so this feature could be a surprise for the end, but it seems not keep from president of scea

Yeah we know weather has been developed, as has a track editor. Whether they are good enough for the final game I don't know.

Having DLC weather would be crap since you will complete GTmode without that feature. I think weather will be included on release, with a track editor as a DLC or held back for GT6.

But since they now have a deadline, they will do these things at the last moment, and if they don't have enough time then it wouldn't matter. If KY is pissed, and if the Sony 'suits' made this mess, Kaz may be waiting for them to clean it up. (?) "He didn't promise these things at E3" (paraphrased) so why would he have to explain anything. Sony World Wide may have some s'plaining to do.?????

If I were Kaz, and this got dropped on my lap, I might think the same way. Let Sony WW clean this mess up, I've got work to do to get the damn game out.
