I understand there is no Stig outfit. What I'm trying to wrap my head around is the fact that the opening movie and a pic from the official website shows The Stig's suit, but now you say its not available? You guys keep saying "yet", does this mean with the next set of seasonals there will be another slew of gear available to win? How do you guys know this? Was this explained somewhere I didn't read? I'm just trying to understand, I'm not a big fan of the bait and switch.

I am also one of the 100% holders from the first 6 day crew. As the others have said the Stig gear and RedBull gear are not out at this point. We are only taking it from the opening scene that they will be in the game at some point. Most common speculation is that they will be released in the future at some sort of seasonal yet, but there has been no confirmation on this yet.

Speculation is a dlc could be coming soon so it could be included with that?
 
I wish I did but its slowly making me want FM4 more and more....its becoming just too much of a let down because PD is stuck in its own little world of so called perfection giving us an unfinished game that had so much potential...

I've got to agree with you because now the lack of content of GT5 is solved, now I can redo the races 100 times but with different suites and helmets, thats really good.This update is really a bad joke.
 
A games a game, when FM4 comes out I'm going to get it but I'm still going to come back here and place GT5 because I have a G27, can't afford an Xbox wheel lol

Lack of content? We're talking about the same game right? If you're bored play online against REAL people. It's easily the best part of GT5.
 
I will be very interested to see what 'extra' content FM4 has over GT5, it certainly wont be more cars, possibly a few more fictional crap designed tracks and errr.. thats right nothing. People complaining about getting racing suits in GT5 are the ones who will be painting their cars and doing races in differant coloured cars lol.

Forza 4 will have far better photo locations, a stylish show room to go around and in the car, open trunks, doors and roofs, get interactive information screens while clicking on car parts, a far better car selection (the car selection in FM3 was already better than in GT5), more customization and much more.

So overall it seems to be much more well designed and stylish than GT5.

I don't know why that is funny, ofcourse they will because you can do that in Forza.

To everybody speculating on the stig suit needs to just forget about it. You are just setting yourself up for dissapointment. It's not in the game, and to add 660 except a few to be added at a later date doesn't make sense. Psst it's also almost 8 months to late for anything related to TG.

I happen to agree... with the endless list of Skylines, S2000's and Miatas, the museum cards, horns, paint chips and now gear - this has become "The Real Collection Simulator"...

Yes it will add much more fun to the game. Look at the GT5 Photomode Forums, how popular a photo mode is in the game. Driving a car isn´t the only fun, if you love cars, firthermore it gets boring if it is the only thing you can do in a racing game ;)

While I do appreciate what Kaz has tried to give us with the museum, paint chips, and horns I don't use them. I want to drive a car and haul ass around a track. I've only been to the museum once, hate the way we only get a one time shot at painting your car, and to swap horns on different cars is not real.

I remember back before GT5 came out, people were astounded when we found out that the cars reverse lights actually worked when put into reverse, that is CRAZY that is a feature that should be in the game. And now look at it, those little reverse lights are the furthest from everybody's mind. Horns should be no different. They should be set and development time was wasted for us to be able to apply different horns to different cars.

Sorry, but your comment, which has been used repeatedly by others as well, on these forums does not address the issue.

The game content has practically nothing to do with "online".

You don't need anything but cars, tracks, and people to play "online".

The game content is in the single player or career mode of the game.

The "online" aspect maybe the best part of the game to you, however for many others the value of the game is in the single player aspect.

All GT games prior to GT5, had no online aspect.

I don't know how its so difficult to see, the Fan base was developed without that aspect.
Likewise we were unpredictably cut off at the knees with the abrupt curtailment of content in GT5.

Yeah, for some people it is the best part. But for me it is useless. You can´t drive on public servers, because it´s lagging like hell, if you haven´t a good internet connection.

And for private lobbies, I haven´t enough friends playing the game. So the offline content is much more interesting and of course: the main part of a game.

Its not just that.

I've had a good connection and been playing racing games "online" since PGR2.

It has its place and can be quite enjoyable.

However, after playing GT4, I became of the opinion that it cannot substitute for good, solid, quality and quantity single player content.

The convenience advantage is also a big factor for me.

JMO.
 
Some of you guys never cease to amuse me with all the whining. No matter how good Gran Turismo will be there will still be whiners. Even if it was photo realistic with 5,000 premium models that have 1,000,000 polygons you guys will not be happy.

Wrote this in an other thread but again, go to FM3 and you will thank PD,Kaz and god for GT5... GT6 will be THE GT! We must forgive GT5...
