Looks sweeet :)

Which reminds me, i loooove white cars. Just like in GT5p, each car i'll buy will be white :D

Can you imagine doing an endurance race in an electric car like the Tesla though...
<500 miles and then charging for 12 hours
But apart from that, it would be interesting to have some of the electric/hybrid cars in GT5 jsu to see what they are like 👍

Tesla would have to figure out a way to do a quick battery swap if they wanted to do a 24hr race but that would be interesting to see how long a single charge would last at full speed and if the electric motor would last 24hrs.

I think it's also one of the most important thing for electric cars to go racing. Think of all the technology that they can improve on by going racing. Programing the controllers for traction control and battery efficiency, regenerative braking, electric motor advancement. It would help all electric car manufacturers into building better electric cars.

Concerning KERS. I have heard that PD couldn't get the 2009 F1 cars for some reason. Since this is the first season that KERS was used, I wouldn't be surprised to see it left out of the game. sadface

Also, take two identical cars and put KERS in one. You now have one car that is more powerful (for a few short bursts) but heavier, with the KERS motor, electronics and storage (batteries?). It is the neverending battle between power and weight.
I personally would take my F1 car with it. Or any car for that matter. I could have used it today several times.

well it is confimed that GT5 will have The newest Hybrid cars and electric cars. So i not sure about KERS but this will make for some interesting endurance racing.

If I could run my Ford GT under the rear bumper of a Prius, weebling along at 55 spewing a cloud of smug all over the track, at 165mph - well, that'd be ok by me.

Looking forward to that damage model! :dopey:

I'd love for Tesla's to be in as some said, they're the only good looking electric cars. I'm all for alternative cars though ;)

The specs released back in August mentioned Tesla, as well as Toyota's Prius (was in GT4) and Honda's Insight.

http://www.good.is/post/how-to-automatically-change-an-electric-car-battery-for-500k/

If they could make it 15 seconds, and then build 400hp 1000lb cars that could do 170 mph... or even better, single seat racers with 4 100hp in-wheel motors and battery capacity enough to do 20/30 quick laps... you'd have the makings of an exiting racing series. Racing tech always finds it's way on to road cars in the end, so the sooner they find a way to get electric racers the better.

Heh. Electric monster trucks. :)

I heard biofuel gives your car more horsepower and torque. Maybe PD could reward you for giving a damn about the environment.

Not really. Ethanol which is what bio fuel for your petrol cars run has a higher octane. Which means you could run higher compression or more boost and make more power. The fuel it self really is not going to change horse power it self. Diesel on the other hand is different from petrol where it is rated with cetane rather then octane. which octane the higher the number the harder to combust cetane the lower the number the harder it is to combust. The cetane number of biodiesel is generally observed to be quite high. Data presented below will show values varying between 45 and 67. In the United States, No. 2 diesel fuel usually has a cetane number between 40 and 45. So actually bio diesel you would not get to use for high performance diesel vehicles.

So since they never made you worry about grade of fuel you put in your vehicle in any other GT game i do not think they would now lol. though having it in the game could make for different racing option. like a GO GREEN race event, where you would use a car running off a bio fuel.

that is a great question. Will we actually see kers tech in GT? And also bio fuel? i'm impress with PD that they have vision for the future especially because of climate change. Forza stil uses cars that use gas while PD has vision for the future.

By the way is this a sample of tesla car?

… given that KERS is … reportedly very hard to implement in a production car (you know, cars where people aren't required to wear fireproof underwear?) …
My Insight has KERS…

Am I supposed to be wearing fireproof underwear?? I don't wear any underwear at all!! :scared:
