is there still online life in this?

the demo seems interesting, if not too short. theres a hint of view movement that will probably bother me but if i can switch duck/cover to toggle instead of hold and switch shot and grenade buttons i could probably enjoy it for just the sp.

Well, I was playing KZ2 up to when I got MW2, and there was still lots of people online. I might pop it back in sometime again.

so far im liking it, at least in sp. ive died more times than i care to admit to specially so early in the game. the only negatives is that i changed my set up so that r1 = fire and r2 = grenade but it's still backwards. The only other thing is that weapons seem to lack a sense of power and that im having troubles adjusting to the throwing arc of the grenades.

You can get R2 fire, I know I did, and L2 was crouch which worked well as you need it alot in both MP and SP.

i changed my controller set up to set up two which has r1 fire and r2 grenade but the controls remain unchanged.

would you be interested in walking me through mp (even though i dont have a ps3 mic  )

Frantic sums it up for the most part. Though controls are slow, generally low movement speed and relatively high amount of health, the fighting is very intense with bullets flying around. You'll know how the controls feel already, so you'll know you won't be flying around like a ninja crossing terrain at speed for the most part. Generally you play a slower style (if you're playing well) and you'll be utilising cover well rather then all out running and gunning though sometimes there's no other option such as CTF style play.

the controls are weird, but, playing through single player is giving me that warm and fuzzy feeling that MW and MW2 gave me which is a good thing 👍

[edit - now there spiders trying to electrocute me  ]

theres something about the start of waste land thats making me nervous and waiting for something big to jump out of the ground and try to eat me. but thats good!

so, ive finished single player and ive decided rico is an idiot. i should venture into mp sometime ...

[edit - or not, i played one round and then keep getting disconnected before i can even join a game with a 8013 error. back to mw2 i guess]

its not like they were all within 5 minutes of each other. heh.

Its not, so its not a problem.

The lack of basic grammar in your posts however is. The English language does have some fairly rudimentary rules for the use of capital letters, and the AUP does ask that you follow them.

So from now on use them to start sentences, for nouns and I's.

This is a polite request and a warning all in one, the AUP is clear on this area and all members are expected to follow the AUP. Lets be honest you have been a member here for more than long enough to know this is the case.

As a single player experience, this probably tops the list on PS3 at the moment(yes - even with MW1 and MW2 out there), however i think online should have been better. It's still way behind the MW games. Having to play through multiple games modes when all i want is to hone my skills in a series of non-stop free-for-all matches is a bit s**t to be honest. But online or off, Killzone 2 is still the best looking FPS on PS3, maybe even on all formats.

You can set the game to search for one mode only games, so you can easily force the game to only find say TDM only games and people often do.

I am still making my way through the camapaign. I started a train level last night that reminds me a LOT of the last level of Gears Of War 1. So far this has been a pretty good game.
