Kimi did it again..

Hi!

Todays Grand Prix was great, I think. The only thing that bothers me is McLaren. How is it possible to blew the engine a race after race?

Ferrari controlled the race from the start to the end. Bar did great job, Button third and Sato 5th, even that he broke his front wing. Klien did some great overtakes, and I think that he is the best new driver in 2004. Does anybody know what happened to Montoya in the end? There were some great couples during the race, Alonso and Webber, and Klien and Räikkönen for example.

The race was good, lots of overtakes, and much happened. 👍

some of my thoughts

Laters.

Yeh, i enjoyed it too. good to see Button on podium again.
Plenty happened to keep it interesting but it ended up being the Micheal Schumacher show again.. :)

Kimi reminds me of Häkinnen,he always had bad luck.Montoya had gearbox problems the last 10 laps or so,he had to stay in gear 5.
And you have to give creadit to the Ferrari team, the fastest car and the most reliable car.But overall this was a great race, many fights between drivers. And the circuit looks great, too bad that Pit babes aren't allowed.;)

Yes, but it's funny that Ferrari had about as much TV coverage as Minardi or Jordan during the race... perhaps sponsors will ask them to slow down next time...

and... Stupid gearbox!!! :banghead: :(

I'm very surprised that Sato outpaced Button too.

PS:be careful with thread titles that spoil events from the race (it's not like the outcome was unexpected but...)

It was fairly enjoyable, I swear most of the cameramen were high, or drunk or something. Our broadcast went a bit odd with allot of random footage of cameramen just standing around looking at random cars.

The race was ok, nobody was able to catch Shumi and Sato looked good. I'm suprised he didn't back off instead of colliding with Ralph. Also Button get's another podium. 👍

Also, if McLaren don't have reliability problems with their engines you can call me, err something stupid.

That's true. it's also a good thing :)

Ferrari have done a good job keeping up a great level of reliability and performance. plus Schumacher is the most consistant out of all the drivers. Nice to see some of the lower down teams making some ground on the big teams as well.

What race were you watching? Button finished 3rd, Sato 5th in the race I watched. Button was the fastest non-Ferrari for most of the race.

And I've just got to say, "Ralf   " What was he doing? Ralf just moved over on Sato and tripped over him 'cos Ralf never gave Sato any room. Sato showed how to do it when he overtook DC at the same spot. Sato gave DC room, the way Ralf should've, yet he still got past.

Webber was wee bit naughty too, doing what looked like a brake test on Alonso.

EDIT: Ralfie has been warned by the stewards over the incident with Sato.

And then one of the blokes in charge of the team said this:

Yes, but on many laps Sato was faster, and he had an unscheduled pit stop because of front wing damage caused by a mistake (while he was alone...), just after his first pit stop. A few more golf sessions with Richards and he'll be fine. :P

Ferrari was warned too for Ruben's move in the pit lane: 10000$ fine. wow... that's gotta hurt.

Ah not really. It's *less* than loose change for them.
Remember that Michael earns about $64m a year...

I'll add a  smilie next time, I was saying that it's a rather symbolic punishment. Ask me if I would really be bothered if I had a 10$ fine for speeding... I would honestly thank the officer, with a big smile.

If you were Alonso that would have given you an annoying fright. Though if he was very quick and feeling especially mean he could have taken advantage of that.

But when Webber moved over infront of Alonso the British commentators thought that was a bit naughty but it's not against the rules because he didn't move back on line.

That was a massive engine blow in Raikonens car.

Ralph bought it all on himself. I'm suprised at how strong the cars are these day's. That was a big hit and there was no apparent damage.

Nice to see Button and in fact Sato up there.

So was Montoya complaining of Barrichello blocking him this time?

Once again GO FERRARI!!!

Heh I bet JPM will complain. He'll probally say that someone cut him off and he missed a shift or something like that from someone blocking him.

I liked the Baharain GP lots of action and a very nice track :)

I saw Dixon's test session with Williams. He is way good. The only problem was that the Gear Box screwed up on him too. Maybe there's a problem unvieling itself there. Knowing Montoya he will complain about something. Williams will be in a better position once they have rid themselves of JPM.

The track is definatly nice. The only problem is that it's in the middle of nowhere. In the Arial shot's all you can see is desert

Thats all there is in the middle east. I have a friend that lives in Doha Quatar unless your in the city where the grass is then theres only sand and dunes. They could have built the track next to a city and had some nice back ground shots of the city with and maybe some grass.

Well, looks like Michelin have lost the plot. The two "hottest" races of the year and Bridgestone have matched and exceeded them twice.

Great result for Button. I think he has turned the corner and now has great pace and consistency. Sato also turned in a very mature driver.

Poor lo' Monty :D And Ralf seems to have returned to his hot-headed days at Jordan. He did race well to return to the points, but scrappy at the beginning.

I was disappointed with Webber - but not due to his being outqualified by Klien. Rather his "brake-test" and clumsy block on Alonso. Brundle thought is was dangerous and I didnt think Webber was that sort of driver.

As for Kimi. He must be tearing his hair out. I mean, the engine was rebuilt before the race and it still blew. Monty must be sweating it out a bit.

He moved too late tho'. Webber moved after Alonso did and that is naughty. If Webber wants to take the inside line, he is perfectly entitled to do that. But he should take it before Alonso went to take it, not after.

And Mike, race day was a lot cooler than it was in practice (I heard the commentators say 20 degrees cooler).

True, but the qualifying was hotter then Malaysia - track temperature wise.

Wow, amazingly much replys since yesterday :D.

Yeah, the track temperature was cold at the start, if i remember correctly, about 20 degree celcius.

Webber´s brake test was a bit rude, but I think its just racing.

It is strange that McLaren is still called as a "top team", but it has only 4 points (correct me if im wrong).

And the Ferrari.. Schumacher has three poles and three wins after three races! That is just amazing..

In all three races, track temperature has been at least 20deg cooler on race day than during practice. Michelin definitely need a tyre with a wider operating window.

Your right. A few years ago that wheel probably would have wnet flying down the track. Though when you think about it there wasn't too much force put on the suspension that it wasn't built to handle.

They are really haveing problems with this damn car. They will probably have to go back to the 2002 car AGAIN if things keep going this way. It really worries me because Montoya will be screwed if they keep up this streak of bad development. Williams is 2nd in the constuctors championship (this is before Bahrain correct me if they lost it) but they don't seem to be anywhere to be seen. And JPM's gearbox trouble was shocking. Dropping him 10 places in the last 10 or so laps would have been devastating. He was up for some serious points.

I bet JPM is beggining to regret his descision to leave williams. I dont think I would have made the move just by looking at their current history. Even though building up a team around you is a good thing but I dont see JPM as having that capability. He can drive well but he cant give any insight on how to improve a car. Thats just my opinion though.

I reckon that when Schumi retires or half retires. He'll go to a team like Minardi and help them out. Just as something to do. Help Minardi get their **** together. He might not drive but he'd probably give alot of technological help.

Kimi certainly made sure that the engine grenaded all right, looked like to me that he got back on the throttle after he realised that it had gone, possibly sending a message there? who knows

I wouldnt like to get in Ron's way for the next week or so, if I where in charge at Illmor, I'd go on a holiday, perminately

Great to see Jenson on the podium again albiet at the expense of JPM who must now be wondering what he's got himself into by joining McLaren next year

Bahrain: Brake killer, but what a great track 👍 plenty of chances for overtaking, take Ferrari out and it wouldve been a great race

One word about Ralf, Baa!!! He drove like a sheep in the race, Giancarlo not happy with him either, just like Patrick Head wasnt overly pleased

That’s meaning less for Dixon, because the new Williams driver would be
Kimi this I am sure about with all the engine trouble he’s currently having

If Kimi is on the Market (which I HOPE he is) I think Ferrari will do whatever they can to get him. Williams can't match anyt Ferrari will offer. Alonso might come cheaper to Ferrari but Kimi is a better driver....

Williams should stick to Dixon and Webber.....

That would be a dream come true to myself and many others, the reason i very much doubt it would'nt happen is because Kimi would not bow down for M.S not in a million years.

No he wouldn't but MS isn't going to be there forever. If schumi wins this season, especially with as much ease as he seems to ahve it now, I think that will be it. Ferrari will discuss with him to retire to GET Kimi before someone else does.

My favorite driver at my favorite team, match made in heaven in my book.
