But I'll only miss the first race, that's all, it's to arrive at me on the 12th, and I'm sure i'd make every other race of the season. Is the fact that I just won't have the game when the first race is occurring really put me out of it completely, just like that?

Well, I've told everyone that can not make it, must let me know by 1 hr before race starts. For first race of season, if they miss it, and we can't get a reserve driver in, then they will be given one more chance the following week. If they miss that one, they will be out and someone will take their spot. But if a reserve driver is available at their absence, then they will be knocked to reserve. This is all if we stay at 1 division.

Why can't that apply to me then? I was written down, given a spot, but can't make the first race for whatever reason. What makes my situation any different from that of anyone who may miss race 1?

I was asking why, the rule that "if a driver misses race 1, he's still in unless he misses the second round as well, then he's out" doesn't apply to me, and I get kicked into the reserves because i'll miss race 1.

I understand that we all have equal right to participate, and you want a full grid on Sunday. But because I will miss race 1, i'll have to miss the entire season, unless someone pulls out?

His notice definitely hits your "1 hr before race starts" threshold and if I was a lawyer, and I'm probably the best shade tree lawyer there is ....lol, I think you have to give him consideration towards holding the spot open for him since he did give notice ahead of time for the first race, as long as your considering this upcomming race as the first race ....lol (I couldn't resist, it's so Clintonesk). If he doesn't make the second race though he can come under your enforcement for getting degraded to the reserved status. Something to think about.

No, not when his game isn't purchased, when 12 other people have it already. He has said he's not 100% sure he will even have in time for 2nd race. ou have to understand that either way you look at it, it isn't fair to someone. If I let him in Division 1, then someone who owns the game and is ready to race can't and it's a for sure empty spot, so then it's not fair to that person. I'm baking on the 2nd devision opening so the people tha ae interested can race. But of the 2 scenarios, allowing the person who OWNS the game and is going to make it, race.

Take him at his word, if he says he’s going to be here then give him enough rope to hang him self with. The host of the event has made it clear what is going to happen (see quote above) and it is therefore no longer up for discussion here. However, if you wish to continue to question the host then by all means take it to PM.

I'm at work, just unwrapping the thing now so can't say until tonight. Re: DFGT it's worth every cent.

Might still have to compete in the URS with the Analogue though, the force feedback might be a little noisy at 5am while my Girlfrend is still trying to sleep.
