La Sarthe and Spa ,weather report and other " stuff "

^ Good luck with getting the 50 mil. I just haven't been able to bring myself back to the grinding. 1.5 mil for an hour's work may be perfectly okay if loads of cars didn't cost upwards of 12 mil.
Just think GT's credit system is highly flawed. Can't understand how an obviously intelligent man like Yamauchi can make such silly decisions.

Since you decide that @jrbabbitt it would be nice to give us an information about fuel consumption, how many laps, what FM you use etc.
Also if you " like " some cars or want to say something about them, it will be helpful for those who didn't try them yet

Irelevant........50 millions for what ?

Very odd,i will post a video of a full race using the car.One issue might be the wheel size,i always use the 15 inch with wide offset and wide other setting.I only use a controller and the autogearbox as my manual dexterity isnt up to having manual gears.I cant understand the braking stability as i get none even from braking hard from over 170 mph.I will also repost the settings just incase i changed stuff with no update.
I recorded a complete race with the Mazda,it was a dry race, I did change to RH for the last couple of laps just in case it was going to rain,as you can see it’s stable under hard braking even from just under 200mph on the last lap.

Just did a race with the RX500 myself...it is perfect for this race and an easy win...

With RH and all possible tune ups (used the medium turbo, not the high end one) it yields 675,5PP...(wich means, you can possibly use RS and still stay under 700PP)
The race was compeltly dry, so I did 4 laps in FM3, then switched over to RM(FM1 and made another 3 laps and won by 50seconds, the RM still almost unused, so i think this car will do 3 laps on RS as well

Very different @bigmull from what i face in my run.
Ill check it again, seems like i did something wrong.
By the way are you on some driving aids ? Cause i only use TC ( mostly at one ) ans ABS only .

@Chikane_GTR here is my set up for LM 55 .
I might " sweat" but i did it .
Loose 4hp add more weight but the car was significant faster .
For the first time i was waiting on 7th lap while I serve penalties on four laps ( 1 -1.5 sec. )
IMG_20230911_185139008.jpg

Tyres are last for 7 laps ,now the front end has more " rubber" which is crucial for me cause i want front end " nailed " .
I use FM6 at first lap and FM5 for the rest 6 laps.
Might last at FM5 from the beginning but didn't test it yet .
Gearing is the racing one not the manual cause have faster acceleration even if he has lower hp.
I was lucky getting 2 races in a row full dry weather.

So new kid on the block, LM55 , fast , accurate and trouble free and of course can handle any level of difficulty that someone like to use .

IMG_20230911_185315510_HDR.jpg

In previous settings i use FM5 from 4th lap but the car never was that fast as is now .
Also the front tyre wear was more than it is now .

Am waiting for your new " discovery " to put it in the non stop list .
You have all the cars ( i don't) so am waiting to bring me the next one tonmy non stop garage 😂

I do use driving aids as my hand dexterity just isn’t good enough to react fast enough, so I need all the help I can get. I use the racing line aid to basically help me “see” the circuit and I use the brake aid not to apply the brakes but when to release them,as the speed lowers the brake line assist disappears then I release them. I do change the TC,3 in the dry then back to max in the wet.

sorry about missing data i will gather and repost.

as for the 50 million. i only have 22 million now and want to build up my bank. its just a goal i have.

@smoothbore12 I'll give your setup a go tonight.👍

@jrbabbitt Wanna race me first to 50M credits. I'm at 16.2M after 1 day after I did my 100M shopping spree yesterday.
@jrbabbitt don't it @Chikane_GTR is the original Billionaire grind king. He able to grind 20 million credits in one night. Somehow he has figured out how to add more hours to his day. I hear he grinds races while he sleeps 🤣. So don't take his challenge. He is like the Michael Jordan of grinders any perceived slight motivates him 🤣 Again don't do it 🤣

LOLOLOLMAO nah no chance i grind for fun and skill no need for a wager on a race LOLOLOLOl

@smoothbore12 I tired your setup and its alot better then the one I was using good job. 👍

Did you put your " hand " on weight ? 😂 to gain more power or you leave it as it is ?
Basically can handle more g force on turns and its significant quicker on the last part and doesn't " burn " the front tyres .

Greetings this is a report of tonight's races.
All runs will be made at FM6 unless noted, all fuel mileage are made at FM6 also.
Subaru WRX Gr.4 18a88e9ed8462-27720657D01D4B63844.315B375F96579043_message_433792571810911_1694502233636.jpg
Started with RH tyres and all stock settings.
Four laps @ FM6 possibly 5 if you want to stretch it out.
Rains started at lap 3 and it's when I dropped in to change to Wets.
Rains were heavy and max accumulation went up to stage 3.
Ran out of time by the end of lap 6 with a win.
Race two.
Nissan GT-R Gr.4
18a88ea159730-27720657D01D4B63844.315B375F96579043_message_433793185112514_1694504629345.jpg

5 laps @ FM6 with RH tyres.
Rains also came at lap 3, changed to Wets, ran only 6 laps in race.

Alright boys. I'll post the reverse of the easy picks, and I'll post a more "challeging" option if you get a dry race, but really rewarding to race.

I'll save my PoV probably tomorrow morning, and share it with my tune as well.

This seems an interesting thread.

Thanks mate , you will add another " view " of that race enriched with your touch.
We all have our preferences and it will be nice to gather and share them here.
There is " room " for everyone , looking forward for your " challenging " options .

will post the other two races from last night, fell asleep and posted first two...
Third race
Alfa Romeo 155 Gr.4 RM tyres and set to FM6 [5 laps @ FM6]
Alfa155.jpg
Race started fine and with the 155 at FM6 it was easily catching and passing other cars.
Lap 2 still sunny at end of this lap but light blue was showing in distance of radar.
Lap 3 skies clouded over and radar full of light blue but still no rain, driving conservatively to stretch fuel, RM tyres holding up well possibly could go entire race.
Lap 4 light rains fell upon the track at beginning of the Mulsanne Straight, accumulation never went above 1/2 stage 1.
Lap 5 no rain, and stretched out fuel to make pit-stop with 2% left, did not change tyres as i had 1/4 tyre wear on RMs.
Lap 6 and 7 no weather considerations and finished 7laps.

Fourth race
Chevrolet Corvette Gr.4. RH tyres and set to FM6 [5 laps if stretched]
CorvetteGr4.jpg
This car surprised me with the power i still had at FM6 setting, not only did i catch and pass almost everyone on first lap i find it had great fuel mileage too.
it will do easily four laps on FM6 and with some coasting and little conservation you can easily hit pit road at the end of 5th lap (weather permitting)
Laps 1 & 2 were sunny and easily dodged traffic.
Lap 3 some light blue appeared on radar and clouds over track but no rain.
Lap 4 still light blue in radar and some dark blue patches but they skirted the track area and still no rain.
Lap 5 still no rains and still showing light blue in radar but quickly went away to empty screen, entered pits for fuel and did not change tyres as they were still good.
Lap 6 & 7 were sunny and bright and claimed victory in 7 laps.

Continuing on my Gr.4 campaign...so far the Corvette is top performer in my favorites....

possibly take a look at my old garage...

Yesterdays race was a dry affair. I switched to IM's on lap 3 as usual because the radar had a lot of purple blobs, but the rain was light and they were worn after one lap. Swithched back to RH and had to run 7 laps because no rain slowed laps had me cross the 6 lap line at 27 minutes. Used BMW GT3 Sprint. It's an easy three lap fuel car.

Did another race with the RX500.
Started with RMs.
Light rain starts mid lap2,I stay out, when I hit Mulsanne in lap 3 the road is wet and its still raining, I manage to hit the pits with not to many spin offs(one at Porsche) in second place
Then two wet laps on IMs, after lap 5(with a comfortable lead) I change to RS...lap 6 still with some wet spots, lap 7 dry...

@smoothbore12 The Hyundai N2025 has similar performance to the Mazda LM55.

It can last 5 laps with IM (Not confirm since I didn't get a rain free race)
It can last 5 laps on FM 1 and go the full race without pitting on FM3 or 4

Glad to see the " traffic " growing up and sharing information.
The weather from my runs and from what I see is definitely on the dry side lately .
Thanks to @jrbabbitt for his enlighten reports.
Seems like that Chevy gr4 is a car worth to deal with a bit further than stock form.

Billionaire ill try your new discovery , post your settings to have something to start .

Yesterday i did only one race , come home very late and didn't have time for something more ,just use the LM 55 on a super dry race and confirm once more that my settings are " right " in order of performance and tyre wear that last 7 laps.

Today i might give a " shot " on the Chevy gr4 and the N2025 .

Long ago i had done the WTC700 with Gr.4 cars but i had tuned them to get closer to the 700PP limit, I found it was not much of a challenge when i was beating the entire race with over a minute and half of extra time just waiting for the time to expire at the S/F line.
I am doing the whole group of Gr.4 car that i have at stock values, switching back to Normal transmissions, no turbos, etc. I find that I am winning but barely with seconds (12-20 so far) over the lead and having to run the additional seventh lap to get that lead.
Therefore the Corvette and the Alfa 155 are the top two so far in best performing stock Gr.4 cars.
Tonight's lead car is the Audi TT Gr.4, will post results later...

Very interesting point of view @jrbabbitt .
Running " dead " stock with only buying rain tyres its also cheap and allows the player to sense the behaviour and the potential of the car " better" .
And of course its a more challenging way than what most of us ( at least i did ) use to do.
Especially when someone run them for the first time and don't know what's going on.
So its very helpful your comments about cars that are joyful to drive.
Thanks.

WOW τι θηλυκό σκυλί είναι αυτό το αυτοκίνητο.

Audi TT Cup Gr.4
RM tyres and set to FM6 (don't do it, go with FM1)
FM6 will get you 5 laps easy and you can stretch it out for 6, yes six laps.
Lap 1 sunny but dragging behind I barely can stay with the pack if I slipstream. This TT handles the turns better than everyone but it's slow on straights.
Lap 2 struggling to keep up and i find that i am better in the turns so I'm passing on those turns, then I get passed on the straights but not by all. Rains show on radar but not on track yet...
Lap 3 rains now on track as i pass everyone in the pits because i chose to risk staying on RM tyres, rain accumulation is only half stage 1 until I reach the back stretch before Indianapolis, now it's getting heavier.
Lap 4 rain accumulation is now stage 2 almost 2/3 and I slow down considerably, sliding a bit and creep into pit road at end of lap.
Lap 5 on track with wets (no fuel added) and doing better and have a 40 second lead over P2 but he is catching up / faster than I. Rains stop by end of Mulsanne.
Lap 6 still in lead with drying track and less than 4 minutes remaining, P2 is now at 25 seconds behind at the Mulsanne corner. I cross the line at 30:17 and P2 18 seconds behind with .3 laps of original fuel left.
This was hard to me, wondering if I could actually pull this off, I believe I was lucky this time...
I may do another run with this TT again but not now..

Did a race this morning as I woke up before work.
Unfortunately I only got a 3rd place as it was a a very quick dry up of the track.

I got into these slightly underpowered cars as I was trying to put together some of the lower category JGTC/GT300 cars in 90's/ early 00's

Here's the Corolla Levin Supercharged.
It handles pretty well, and you'll gain time in corners, but straights is another matter. you can keep up with some cars, you can gain time on cars like the Atenza or lancer, but overall you'll be left behind on straights if you don't have the splitstream. If you bolt on a turbo, the race just becomes easy.
unnamed.jpg

And here's my setup. RM tyres (although you can take softs), and FM1 as you need to go full beans on the straights to keep up with the pack. You normally can get 3 laps without a problem.

Here's my PoV from this morning

Lap 1 was Sunny, and with the drowsiness, I got a bad start. I couldn't overtake the Ferrari/alfa back markers in the Dunlop chicane. This means no free 3 spots as you just exit tetre rouge. I got passed by the alfa in the second straight of the mulsanne. the AI outbraked me. A sight to behold. I recovered my 18th spot only at Arnage.

Lap 2 came along and I was 15th at the starting line. Still sunny, and the radar started showing the blissful rain as I'm going through indianapolis. It shows just light blue, so piting in lap 2 isn't beneficial.

Lap 3 starts with a sunny sky, and my side by side with the WRX for 12th place. As I exit the Tetre rouge, the sun gets behind a cloud, yet still blue above. Rain starts to fall as I'm at the mulsanne fighting with the porsche for 8th, as that car has legs and recovers on the straight everytime i pass him. As I exit the Mulsanne, the rain is now over the 1st level on the meter. its time to make some places as the AI and Rain don't mesh too well here.

Lap 4 starts in the pits as I get a full tank, and IM tyres. Pitted 9th behind the Porsche and Ford, and exited 10th behind the Toyota Supra. But it doesn't matter as in a minute and half, I'll be in 1st place. The AI really sucks in the rain. The rain hits the top of 2nd level on the meter as I start the mulsanne. Some bit of puddles, but nothing IM tyres can't deal with. By the first chicane I caught up with P1. There was a Aston crawling on the straight, as I assume it didn't have wet tyres. The bad weather only lasts until the Porsche esses, which means i'm in danger. The AI starts gaining terrain

Lap 5 comes in, and the sky is starting to clear up. The rain is drying FAST. By the 2nd chicane of the Mulsanne, the rain metter is already at Lv1 and the Lamborghini is coming in super hot, only 2s behind me. As soon as the light blue leaves the track on the weather radar, the AI is on steroids. The Lambo overtakes me as I'm cming into Indianapolis, and I get the place back, but overshot the right kink. The lambo takes the position. As I exit arnage with a .500s penalty, the Suzuki also overtakes me.

Lap 6 is just trying to claw back, but no bueno. the Sun is up, the track has a dry line, and dreams are shatering. I head into the pits 3s behind the Lambo, for a bit fo refueling and slicks. Didn't buy softs, so Meds it is.

Lap 7 begins as I come out in 3rd with loss of controll as the pit exit is very wet, and I forgot i'm on slicks. Then I spun by catching water on Tetre Rouge, which sent me backwards into the wall. Luckily the car corrected itself enough that I could just keep going.
22s. behind on the 1st chicane, I just kept trying to gain time. Being a bit conservative with my line so I stay on the dry line, I ended the race in 3rd place, 18.5s behind the leader.

It was unfortunately, a race where I didn't win this time, but very exciting as by handicapping myself, the AI proves a bit of a challenge.

@jrbabbitt ,you really make me laugh 🤣 with your greek .
It was exactly what we use .

@Lilium , you really " love " what you're doing, am impressed.

Thank you guys gor being so " supportive " , your posts are a pleasant surprise.

PS
@Lilium , you are on the hard level ?
Didn't see all the vid yet (am on the ferry to go across right now ) but your times can give you win on easy and perhaps normal level .

I do not speak nor read Greek but I have friends here in Charleston that are and so I tried to use the common phrases I had heard before (knowing you are Greek I wanted to make you laugh )
P.s. i am on easy level during the grinds.

Yeah, I play on hard.
I didn't mind losing. It's weirdly, entertaining actually.

Thank you for your "support" mate.

Thank you for your "support" mate.

Just saw all your vid , i was sure that you was on hard level when i saw the fastest lap of the race .
Unfortunately i mind winning due to grid " prison " that gt7 lock you in for a long period in order to collect cars or receive prizes from cafe menu rtc.
Still need about 140 millions to put an end with 4 of them cost 80 millions 😵‍💫
By the end of October ( i guess) ill be " free " from griding obligation and i can do whatever i like.

Perhaps in the future we can organise a small contest , such as winning cars with lower pp or hp , or faster laps with certain cars or whatever.
Any ideas are welcome.

As about " support " am a guy that respect people, especially those who are dedicated in what they do no matter if i like it or not .
I think that i can " see " the effort they put in , the time they spend etc. etc.
We support each other, each one with his own way and that's enough.
Keep up your good work mate .

Yesterday I also raced the Porsche 918 good car 605HP with the hybrid system which will last 2 laps and can hit run 190mph.

It can do 3 laps FM 6.

But then the bad starts once the hybrid system runs out it becomes a turtle you'll be lucky to hit 160mph.

Overall I don't recommend any cars that has a hybrid systems.👍
