I did it with an Aventadore but with a cost.

Weight reduction 3
Engine upgrade 3
Aero kit.

Went with 550 pp except SSR5 and Toscana.
Many retry for the Nordscheife before I got it right + had to race dirty too.

Drevenger my friend, tell me you did not race dirty, lol. Come on man, lol. jk.

I'm in the middle of trying to beat this seasonal and all I can say is ...

THIS IS FREAKIN HARD!!!!!!

I know I haven't been playing GT5 for a while now (just moved into a new home), but I'm not THAT rusty. I've been using the Aventador with just suspension tuning and drive train upgrades. My power limiter is cut all the way back to 73.X% (game kept having me dial it down after every race attempt). I got gold on SSR5 (whatever it's called), and it was NOT easy. There is always two to three Muiras in front and they are always wickedly fast. Case in point, on lap 3 of SSR5 I caught up to the two Muiras on the last turn before the main straight. When we got on the straight, the Muiras just pulled off from me. When I say pulled off, it was like they were in a different class race or something. It was like that Top Gear episode where Jeremy Clarkson raced a GTI in a Lambo Murcielago with me being the GTI.

The Ring, in which my Aventador's suspension is specifically tuned for, is even harder. I keep getting 6th running wickedly quick times (for 73% power and racing with traffic). The cars ahead of me start the race so far ahead, it's like the lead car is already at the carousel by the time I get to the infamous jump (exaggerated a bit, but not far from the truth it seems). I hadn't even cracked a minute at that point!

I've read here on the forums that the events seem to be getting harder. Whoever said it wasn't fibbing.

As Seasonals go, this round really is hard. Quite challenging, really. Only the Nordschleife really gave me any trouble, but it took many, many tries before I finally golded it, and I haven't been able to repeat that feat since!

LOL not is not FREAKING HARD, patience my friend.. you will do it, keep practicing 👍

Thanks. I'll get 'em no doubt.

But I have to admit, it's pretty demoralizing when you beat the mess out of the AI turn for turn and then on the straights see nothing but tail lights disappearing ever so quickly into the distance.:indiff:

Whoa! You are doing something very wrong if not gaining on the straights! My Countach '88 setup gobbles 'em up on all straights, plus of course the corners.

Respectfully,
Steve

Haha, I was frustrated about the miuras going 180mp/h +
The ring can put a toll on you :)

Dont use the Aventadore, use an old Countach @ the nurburgring.
Make sure you strip the most weight OFF.
Never the less even with an 550pp Aventadore, AI is faster on the straight. At least 1.5 sec faster bridge to bridge at Antonius (long straight)

Just out of curiosity, does that include the Miura out in front? Because, whilst I have no problem catching the other AI cars on both the corners and the straights, the trouble I have is on the last third of the track and those damn Miuras.

I can knock off a few seconds here and there but usually I'm always about 6-8 seconds behind by the time we get to the last straight and the Miura just flies off and there is no hope of catching it.

I beat the Rome really easy, gliding across the corners with full-speed did the trick. Gallardo (550pp)

But I am stuck on the Special stage, I keep getting silver, any tips on this stage?

Yup. I catch up, albeit slowly, on the final straight at the 'Ring. I was about 3 seconds behind a Miura exiting Schwalbenschwanz (sp?), and still won the race I cited above in the '88 version of the Countach. My ratios are noted, and I have the race recorded. If you are in 4th place by the Karrussel, you stand an excellent chance of winning.

Best wishes,
Steve

Finally beat Autumn Ring and the Nürburgring with a '74 Countach I had bought all the bolt-on parts for and set up the suspension on a long long time ago. No unremovable mods. The main improvement over my Gallardo was probably the suspension, and the gears. The rear wing probably didn't hurt either. I did play around with the gears a bit to get them as close together as I could. Nice having a car I could do 100mph in second gear and even actually USE first gear in now and then for once. Man, that thing was planted coming out of the corners.

The Nordschleife race was really fun but it took a few hours to get a lap that was both reasonably fast AND not spoiled by the traffic.

I used my Gallardo I've bought a long time ago for the A-Spec races. It already had all the weight reduction, engine stage 3 tuning and all aero parts.
In addition I installed:

- sports soft tyres
- full trans
- twin plate clutch
- semi racing flywheel
- carbon prop
- torque diff
- full customised LSD
- full customised suspension

My SET UP:
Ballast 200kg (total 1369kg)
Position -39 (50/50 weight distribution)

AERO 15 REAR

ENGINE LIMITER 81.3% (382kW)

TRANS
FINAL 4.313
MAX 320km/h
1 2.844
2 1.956
3 1.447
4 1.153
5 0.962
6 0.821

LSD FRONT/REAR
7/8
30/25
5/5

TORQUE DIFF
50/50

SUSPENSION
-10 RH -10
13.1 SR 14.6
6 DE 7
5 DC 7
3 ARB 2

2.5 CAMB ANG 1.3
-0.20 TOE -0.10

BRAKES
10/8

With this set up I had no trouble to win Rome, SSR5, Autumn Ring and Toskana.
Nurburgring took me about 25 tries. You need enough patience.
The car is on share - untouched after the win at Nurburgring :-)

Thanks to all the good advice at this board!
:gtpflag:

Won all races except the nurburgring with this setup! Thanks! The nurburgring I won with a different set up but some way or another I can't find it anymore. This forum has been a great help for me!

Nope. this event is a scam. i tried EVERYTHING i could,EVERY Lamborghinis but it's unwinnable. it's a 🤬 scam.:yuck:

I'm not the kind of driver who am gonna let myself get whooped by AI who don't have ANY performance points limit when we're enforced with one that makes the event literally unwinnable.

I cut EVERY strategically time-saving grass areas and went full speed into every corner, but nooo, they just speed up more than i do if i save time.👎

Polyphony Digital has NO right to break the rules with over-the-performance-limit AI who are rigged to beat you no matter what you do.👎

I tried this event since it's been out, never won any races in it,even if the AI spins out sometimes.:grumpy:

This is a warning. DO NOT TRY THIS EVENT if you don't wanna end up ruining your good day with bad mood. It's not worth it!:indiff:

After 14 years of Gran Turismo racing since the very first one have i not seen such a impossible-to-win event:yuck:

I love the game,cheers to Kaz,but there's limits.

Unwinnable? This thread would suggest otherwise. I don't think this is the first time PD has included cars that are above our PP limit, although it may be the first time all but 1 of the opponents is over. Except they are probably the exact same performance level as the old version of this same seasonal.

Personally, I only found two of the races to be particularly difficult, although some have had trouble with SSR5. Not sure why as I nearly took the lead at the very beginning of the fifth lap with my Gallardo but made a costly mistake at the start of the straight. Autumn Ring was tough (for me). Most of the time seemed to be in the long tight corner and in the esses at the end of the lap. The Nordschleife was tricky enough to require a pretty good lap, but their pace is less of a problem than getting through the traffic cleanly. Someone who doesn't run lots and lots of hard laps on the track would certainly have trouble, as you need to be pushing reasonably hard while still avoiding the traffic.

Give it a rest then..chill out! For so long there's been complaints the events are too easy. Now PD tweeks the seasonals with the pp limit deal and makes at least one of the events pretty difficult. Apparently they listened, great.

I never drive Lambos so there was quite the learning curve for me. Have only used the Gallardo and the 2 Murcies. Braking was tricky at first as was remembering there was AWD to pull me through the understeer. After getting that down I really started to get the Lambo thing and enjoy the cars considerable merits. You have to drive these cars like you hate 'em to love 'em!

wing at 5 and Transmission only all other stock.

I finally beat the Green Hell and registered on GTPlanet after lurking for some time just to say so!

Lambourghini Gallardo LP 540-4 '08

Stock configuration with the exception of the following changes..

- Sports ECU
- Sports Exhaust Manifold
- Full Customisable Transmission (see below)
- Torque Distributing Center Differential (no changes - 35/65)
- Fixed Sports Suspension Kit

In the end it came out with 550PP @ 562BHP

Drivers Aids - TCS 5, ABS 1, SRF/ASM OFF
Controller - DS3, sensitivity 5

Transmission configured as follows..

- reset to defaults
- final gear set to reach 334km/h, ratio 4.217
- no alterations to individual gear ratios, just let the FG changes adjust them auto

In the end I gave this about a dozen or so full attempts (and quite a few more restarts), placing 6th and 4th for most of the early runs (using a Gallardo with many setups taken from GTP). After buying a fresh Gallardo and doing the above setup, I started placing consistently 3rd with some close 2nds (+0.5 finish) and with a couple more restarts and another 2 or 3 full runs I finally nailed it.

Won the Ring in the 2nd attempt on flat-6 setup. Srf on and tcs 1 - abs 1 also. Ds3. 7:02 I think, 3s lead. Passed the leader a few corners before the straight so he couldn't slipstream. Was a pretty good lap though. Don't think I could do much better if that wasn't enough.

Thanks flat-6!

This race was real fun. 👍

I past the last car to first place at the second Klenines Karussell.

A very dramatic post! I deleted most it from the quote to spare my mind the chaos haha.

Anyways, yes, there are limits. And it looks like yours was reached. Unfortunately for you, the game wasn't created to suit only your specific driving needs. Time to step up your driving skills. It can be done. And it starts with having a better and more positive attitude! ;)

Negative Attitude = Negative Race Results.

👍 True :tup Story 👍

I don't know why but I found this event hard. I have won the event but it was a challenge. Sometimes I would race and do great and only come in 5th place. Other times I win by 10+secs. The other seasonal races seem way to easy compared to this one.

I liked this challenge because it was just that.....a challenge.

Finally, finally, finally got gold on Nurburgring!!! Took a few attempts but eventually did it thanks to this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veRbxwkXzEA&feature=plcp

His tune is right at the end of the video. I also took all aids of except for Skid Recovery and ABS. Initially had traction control set to 5 then to 2 but then I just left it off. With the settings from the video I was able to throw the Gallardo into the corners and just break around them without losing too much speed. This comes in handy during the last third of the race with all those bends and what not.

You don't have a mobile phone, or any friends or family that have either a camera or mobile?

I'll sort one out for you. If you ask for a specific car within the next few hours, I'll upload a video with your vehicle choice, otherwise I'll just use the one I already recorded in the '88 Countach.

Thank you as I did Nurburgring your way. Wing on 5, transmission abs1, everything else stock.

Online Lobbies were down, so I decided to tackle on this 550pp Nurburging event on Sport Softs, using my familiar Gallardo.

Tune:

Weight -1
Wing C (at value 6)
Carbon hood, paint the car white.
Ballast to Front position 44, approx 25kg,
limit PP Engine
Customer Tranny, top speed 330km'hr (use tall gears, you don't want high rev in corners**, trust me)

** the lambo in GT5, not sure if replicated in real life, but when turning in as you downshift into a higher rev, will greatly add to understeer, or scrubbing tires, losing precious half seconds in every corner. Whereas slowing the car down in current gear, and downshifting late (to get into previous gear at a moderate RPM, will induce less torque in the wheels, and allow for a smoother turn)

besides, this car is a rocket when floored. You'll be up to speed in no time again. and always squeeze the trigger. never snap it.

but in essence, the best tune is: your gas and brake pedal.

only ABS 1, no SRF, no TC, no painted lines, except for track graffiti

Everything else stock. Stock suspension. Stock LSD.

Brake BIAS 6~7 in front, 4 in rear.

Learn to Brake approx 15 car distances earlier than you would normally(with racing softs). No need to 'fight' to overtake anywhere, you will overtake them either in braking into the corner apex (safely) or pass them in a tow. Think ahead. Don't overtake just to overtake! (if suddenly losing control where you most need it)

no grass cutting needed, actually, grass cutting may add to your time. (wonders how people save time with this)

p.s, you do not "Need" to be in 4th at the carrusel, as you will be in 5th, and see the 4th in front of you leaving the carrusell in the distance, you'll be fine.

That's it folks. 7:06, will meet the top 3 in final mini-carrusel, just drive smooth, and BRAKE in CURRENT GEAR, and downshift late.

I purposely stayed in 2nd place heading up for the final long straight, and I towed and blasted past the lead Miura just past the split time banner, leaving them in the dust, at over 305 km/hr.

/Thrustmaster T500RS & Wheelstand pro, only thumbs and palms at the wheel

there isn't much room for error on this event, and certainly you don't need to be perfect with your time. Just need to maintain composure, I find it rewards you in the end. I went on to try to repeat the event, and lol, kept screwing up in places after that. I got too excited for having it won prior.

FINALLY.... I'm so excited that I had to share that I finally golded on the Nurburgring after about 30 tries. Practice does make perfect. And I did it with a standard controller.

I used FruityCakes tune, and after many many runs kept on placing 3rd - 5 seconds of the lead. It a near last ditch effort I lowered my suspension to -20 (both front & rear) in hoping to gain a little more speed on the stretches. It paid off and I was a giddy as a school child as I passed the lead Miura on the beginning part of the long straight away. WHEW...

The best thing about this one is the timing marks in red. They help a whole lot. Plus the setup specs at the end, of course. Nice GT5 setup too. Thanks!
