I'd bet money that some here can do it in the Miura. It seems beyond me, but there are some amazingly good drivers here.

Finally cracked Nurburgring, after all these weeks of trying. Thought I'd have one last go, and, in error, used the Gallardo with the Monza settings from the latest seasonal - complete with Sports Hard tyres!! Won with my best time ever of 7mins 4 secs (after only managing 3rd up until now), explain that one?

I'm having a terrible time with the car's gearing, which causes me trouble to maximize speed with the Gallardo...:ouch: if someone could tell me how to adjust this more efficiently,i'd be happy. but i'd love a gearbox setting that works for the nurburgring run in this Lambo event,i don't have the NOMAD Diablo yet. this'd make my day. thanks guys!👍

Rubber band, man. Rubber band. when you're using a slower tuned car or that you don't go as quick as them, they'll slow down, conversely,if you go quicker they'll rush at you, making it harder to win.

You're a better driver than you think you are; you just have to forget yourself a bit and let it flow. :)

Following the Praiano's tune, now my lambo suffers understeer, but I've solved it decreasing the strength of the front springs, and since then no more understeer. One more thing, I have left the gearbox by default, because with the Praiano's tune was too much difference between the 5th and 6th gear, everything else was correct. This is my humble opinion. I apologize if I offended the Great Praiano.

No matter which improvement i do to my car,or speed i save, they're gonna speed up more! this event is too hard for me.:nervous:

I tried all those settings i could in the game and i cut all the corners in nurburgring, which is the last race i'm missing in the event, but i always end up 0:00.500 to 0:01.000 behind the miura in the first place...:boggled:

Someone please tell me which settings i should use,in my private message list. i'd be very VERY grateful to whoever could tell me how to win the infamous green hell (This is how i name it.) race in the seasonal (and evil) lambo event.

I'd need the settings, and best gearing possible for this race,as i am bent by the losing streak i've had recently in this specific race.👍

(P.S. i can figure every settings except the Tranny (Gearbox) which i am clueless on how to tune correctly.)

Well I just did it after about 200 tries I finaly maged to win the Rome corse.

The car was a Miura and the setup wich might sound a little weird I'll describe here.

Be sure to overtake the 11th place in 1st corner and you'll be able to reach 8th place 1st round. Do no mistakes. Take the slope before the uphill sidewards and the tight corner max 85 km/h. Brake 3 times arround Colluseum and keep the acc soft all the way around colluseum You'll end up with a final speed aprox 120 km/h.
The reason of max speed in gear setup is that you wont reach a higher speed anyway and therefor you better raise revotutions of final gear to make more acceleration power. 5th gear setup was jus a single km/h but anyway it worked for me.

I've also tried with the Murcielago and the Gallardo but no luck.

Good luck

if nothing works, put srf on

The reason I advise golding the Mercedes Challenge is people will learn the 'Ring. It's a long track with a lot of corners that you can take much more quickly than you think. I learnt the 'Ring in GT4, running the Merc 190 Touring Car S License test... I ran 100's and 100's of laps there, to the point that I don't have to think where to brake or turn in and I know which kerbs I can hammer and which I can't.

Once you know the track really well then you'll find the overtaking part of this event much easier... as you'll know where you can carry speed and where you can't, and where the best places to overtake are.

If you just keep running the event you won't learn all the track (you'll likely learn the 1st 3rd, but the re-starts will mean you won't learn the rest as well) and you'll likely keep making the same mistakes.

The Vettel Challenge in the X1... Monza was easy, Suzi and Nurb GP were not!

Since this post, I went back and completed the golds I hadn't finished. The licences were next-to useless for driving skills and this Lamborgini challenge. Even the AMG Special Events were of little help as the cars were far too different to the cars used in this challenge. It felt worthwhile to complete them though.

In regard to the Vettel Challenge, that is certainly the most difficult achievement in the game. However, I found Monza to be as difficult as Nurburgring GP. Suzuka certainly required more persistence and skill than the others.

He's probably on srf already.
Since you can get within 1 sec of the miura and if you really desperate to win it, give the miura a gentle nudge at the last corner. Bad sportsmanship but could ease your grief a little.
Alternatively, buy new car, tune it and keep restarting till your engine breaks in.

Recently I've been repeating the Toscana event with my well-tuned Gallardo for fun and profit. Suspecting your setup might be interesting, I tried it exactly except for gear ratio, and won by 12 seconds on the very first try with a sub 1:40 final lap. The car runs loose but controllable and quite entertaining. Thanks for sharing your interesting and useful setup!

My only changes:

Tranny trick (FG to right, TS to left)
Final, 3.330
1st, 2.821
2nd, 2.111
3rd, 1.666
4th, 1.333
5th,1.111

Respectfully,
Steve

Edit:
I've again repeated Toscana, this time with a Countach 25th Anniversary '88. Guess what? It is faster and has better road manners than either the Gallardo or the Miura.

Got tired of seeing that silver icon on the Nord so gave it another shot Sunday. Been running a bone stock Murcie S/V and a Gallardo with 15 aero. Clean lap with no AI contact. Cockpit view/ no HUD ABS 1 only.

Well enough of the purist nonsense I just want that gold! Added f/c suspension/ lsd/ drivetrain mods to an otherwise stock Gallardo. Put in Fruitcakes's lsd/ suspension/BB settings. Still stock transmission. Started leaning on the AI and with the better turn in made gold a couple times-finally! No track cutting still though.

Personally I found this to be a very challenging event. I don't drive this track much and with so many restarts, the back part of the track doesn't get practiced enough. Plus I tend to be too gentle driving the AWD Lambos-once I started throwing them around I got much faster.

You're right an exciting driving... Just tried the Toscana myself also in the Miura... Didn't work... But when I took the Gallardo and used nearly same prefs as Miura and put the 4WD torque to 50/50 and added some more speed... Well no problem GOLD. The funny thing is that in Toscana I had no downforce at all on the wings. After thar I tried Nürburg also no downforce. Fast car spinning arround in all corners and absolutely no grip... Must add som e downforce.

Just cracked the Nurburg nut with the Countach '88.
Lap of 7:01.676, +03.663 sec. No grass-cutting, but lots of 'dirt-tracking' and tire smoke!

Steve

Damn, still can't do the Nurburgring circuit. I've done the other 4 tracks but stuck on Nurburgring. Using a Gallardo, the best place I can get is 4th except for that one time I managed to get 3rd. I've tried all the different types of settings for the Gallardo and still no win. Is there a Lambo that is better than the Gallardo. I can't seem to get the damn thing around corners no matter how much oversteer I give it. I'm getting better but this particular track is starting to take the joy out of this challenge

It's possible the 2.08 update has changed things a bit. You might try dropping your front ride height and raising the rear to see if that helps the understeer.

Adding SRF will help, as will cutting the grass at certain corners and rim-riding the AI. But the main thing about the 'Ring is practice, practice, practice!

Respectfully,
Steve

I know how you feel. Firstly I use DS3 and I am NOT a gun driver. I have won gold all except the "Green Hell",
I don't know the ring and will need to learn.I have won with most of the Lamborghinis on all the tracks now except The ring. Thanks to all for advice in this Forum. Particularly I Want to thank Fruity cakes for the "560" tune.
Thanks to Babmup for advice on Praiano's tunes for "670" and "640".
I am down to 500pp on Toscana and having a blast, T boneing AI Miuras over the hill at the top of the straight. 1.5 M for 8.5 minutes.

I have imagined the eyes of the AI drivers popping out of their heads, like in the "Mad Max" movie, as I crest the hill
and they are stuck finding reverse across the track. BAM. And I still win. Not very realistic after such a collision. But great fun.

Off now with the family to the beach so will crack "The Ring" upon return.
To those feeling frustrated, I was put off by the handling of the Lamborghinis initially but read the forum and followed advice and it all changed. I suggest use the advice to your advantage, learn the tracks and have fun.

Thanks PD and GTPlanet community.

Finally got to starting this, with a fresh Gallardo I hadn't put 100 miles on yet. Rome seemed awfully hard until I remembered that the description lied and you could use sports softs. Then it wasn't too tough. I probably could have taken off the parts I added to get to 550, but I'm not sure. It wasn't that easy.

SSR5 was a relative breeze even with stock power. Then I got to Autumn Ring and hit the wall. 10 full runs and assorted restarts and at best I'm still a couple seconds behind first, frustrating.

I assumed the Ring and the creator-track would be cakewalks as usual, but sounds like many are finding the Ring to be the toughest.

I did buy a couple non-power parts trying to improve at Rome before I switched tires, left them on since it's a reasonably challenging event and I liked the feel. Added the close-ratio box which seems only a minor difference. Also got LSD with a quick 5/5/5 & 6ish/15ish/12ish adjustment and the center diff to set it to 10/90 so it feels as close as possible to a proper drivetrain. So wish they had put a rear-wheel-drive Gallardo in the game.

Reasonably fun challenge this time even though only one of the AI cars should be allowed to enter.

Finally finally finally... after god knows how many attempts I beat the Nord!!!

Ran 7'04 in my Murcielago superveloce.

As it happens it was the update that finally helped me over the line, having been stuck in second on a 7'07 for ages.

Had been playing with the tune on my car to get a handle on the updated RH and areo, and what effect if any it had on my tune, and I softened out the front a little, which took out a shed load of under steer and after only 2 attempts on these settings I cracked it.

WooYay!!

I just repeated the 'Ring with my Countach '88. After a small number of tries, I won with a 7:05 and a one second advantage over the first lineup. Small changes to my setup are incorporated above (#470). There is no magic to it.

It cannot be overemphasized the pace you need here. You must have passed 4 cars before Adenaur Forest and be in 4th by the Karrussel. Otherwise, start over.

Thank you for your advice I did it with your tune, Gold!! Second Try :gtpflag:

It seems the race can be won by a number of different Lambos now. I count Gallardo, Countach '88 and Murcielago. The Miura, or older Countach, maybe?

I will try the Miura just for fun, IMHO this is not the best car for Nur, If I have time I will upload a vid 👍

I did it with an Aventadore but with a cost.

Weight reduction 3
Engine upgrade 3
Aero kit.

Went with 550 pp except SSR5 and Toscana.
Many retry for the Nordscheife before I got it right + had to race dirty too.

I'm in the middle of trying to beat this seasonal and all I can say is ...

THIS IS FREAKIN HARD!!!!!!

I know I haven't been playing GT5 for a while now (just moved into a new home), but I'm not THAT rusty. I've been using the Aventador with just suspension tuning and drive train upgrades. My power limiter is cut all the way back to 73.X% (game kept having me dial it down after every race attempt). I got gold on SSR5 (whatever it's called), and it was NOT easy. There is always two to three Muiras in front and they are always wickedly fast. Case in point, on lap 3 of SSR5 I caught up to the two Muiras on the last turn before the main straight. When we got on the straight, the Muiras just pulled off from me. When I say pulled off, it was like they were in a different class race or something. It was like that Top Gear episode where Jeremy Clarkson raced a GTI in a Lambo Murcielago with me being the GTI.

The Ring, in which my Aventador's suspension is specifically tuned for, is even harder. I keep getting 6th running wickedly quick times (for 73% power and racing with traffic). The cars ahead of me start the race so far ahead, it's like the lead car is already at the carousel by the time I get to the infamous jump (exaggerated a bit, but not far from the truth it seems). I hadn't even cracked a minute at that point!

I've read here on the forums that the events seem to be getting harder. Whoever said it wasn't fibbing.
