Races are really enjoyable, but nurburgring has a little bit of extra dificulty..
After search here for tunes and other facts, i just lowered my Gallardo's suspension 10mm, put an aero in, limit the pp, and ride for three laps..

I finished the first lap with a 9 seconds window to the first Miura!!

Second lap get me to second place, and in the third lap, i was a really hardcore driver, what took me to overtake the first Miura on the chicane just before the finish =D

3 Laps?? Am I missing something? Cause I only got a 1 lap race on Nurburing.

Still can't do it...kept went wide too many times :(
My best is about 2 secs off the lead car...

Likewise. I really hate this track! It's the only one I've not got gold on

Wow! Finally completed Nurburgring. Only took 30 odd attempts... (including lots of restarts part way through the lap). Thought I had stuffed it going on to the grass just before the long straight but managed to take the lead car at the last corner.

I never want to do that race again...

I did it! Finally got 1st on the nür! It was dirty as (censored) but I got first. 7:03 I think. Managed to catch the last miura at the end and barreled into him doing 160 and ended up straight! I feel a great relief as 1 stand on that miura drivers grave.

At last!! After almost a week of trying, finally beat the Ring. This is the hardest seasonal event by far. It was practically a stock car that did it for me too!

Finally, at last, beat the ring in the Miura. It was a bit of a hollow victory as I had to resort to SRF in the end and side-swiped the leading Miura on the last bend but hey ho. That was definitely the hardest challenge I've ever done in GT5.

Finaly i nail the ring, after more than one month not touching gt5, took about 12 to 13 restart finally won only 1,3 sec ahead the lead miura.. i think im gonna cry now.. Hahaha.... Thanks to the "guy with the helmet" tune .. Hahahha

Tough seasonal.

Autumn Ring is kicking my lilly white arse. With this one, the Lambos feel like dumptrucks on a cart track for some reason. :)

The guy with the helmet? hahaha. His video helped me just as much. Thanks to him, I know what time is good at the first mark, just after the bridge. I finally got a 3rd, no gold yet, but my time is around 7:12 when the best I could do before was 7:20. I will get it, just not tonight. His video also proved that you can make a pretty decent mistake (he hits the left wall at one point past the carousel) and still win. The thing is, if I win a race, I don't go back to it so this one is forcing me to learn the 'ring intimately as well as fine-tuning my technique. Win win...and frustratingly fun. :)

I practiced Memorizing the nür doing the seasonal a spec number 4 it really helps with getting to know which corners to attack at full speed, when to coast and when to brake. After I reached a time of 6:06 on that, then I fired up the gallardo to do battle. Getting a 7:03 time. It still took a few tries but I was more comfortable with it.

Still trying to get 1st on the Nurburgring...the best I could do was 4th, for quite a while...took several days off, looked up some more tunes, did some more modifying to my car and actually got up to 2nd yesterday, at this point I'm pretty sure the only way I will get 1st is if I get a good luck streak.

Kyogt

Try buying a new Gallardo, and only buy the basics with stage 1 weight reduction. That's what finally did it for me. I was stuck on it for ages too

Maybe I'll try that too...but I have 11 now! Hahaha.

I think it is really down to track knowledge rather than the car on the ring. I was alternating between the Muira and Gallardo (with the fruity tune) and although the Gallardo was much easier to drive and seemed faster what with all the screaming, there was little difference in my times, and it was in the Miura that I eventually did it, simply because I happened to be driving it when it all came together.
Way up thread CargoRat said he'd found it easy, which depressed me at the time as I was really struggling, then he revealed he'd just finished a 4h endurance race on the ring. Don't worry about the car, just keep practicing and you'll get there.

I've been playing this for the past 3 nights and I still can't beat this one map I think you all had the same problem?
How could I get a 7"10"000? Somewhere around there 0 traction?
Cux I played it with like 1-2 traction with skid recovery on and 1 abs

Take traction control off. It'll slow you down. Keep srf. Add active steering to help keep car on track.

Sorry for bad news but you'll likely need 7:03-4s to win. 7:10 gets you likely a second or third.

If second split is more than 23 seconds, you most likely need to restart unless you are crazy fast in later half. Check out lewis_hamilton insane driving video for how you should drive. You need to be on the edge of control. That he did 6:59 in a stock gallardo with srf and other assist off is an inspiration.

thanks man im gonna try stock with just suspension work and srf maybe i'll come 2nd or 3rd

Picked up GT5 again after 3 months and decided to do this little seasonal... doing good so far... Toscana and Autumn Ring went down after 2 tries on each... used a detuned Murc SV...

Went to Rome with a Gallardo afterwards... :yuck:

Nasty as hell... those Miuras are on steroids... :grumpy: Will retry tonight with my SV...

Apparently... eveybody is struggling a lot with the ring... let's see what I can do with my Lambos, my skills and my lack of tunning hability :)

If you did Autumn Ring that easily, Rome should be too much trouble. Once you get a decent line around the faster corners the gap will drop really fast. Autumn Ring was probably the hardest for me but I don't run there nearly as often as I do the Nordschleife. Rome wasn't too tough at all despite my being even more inexperienced there.

I haven't played in months and was shocked at how badly I did at this Seasonal.

Feeling a bit better about myself now I've read how others have found it.

I just got a 7:10 and ended up in third. I know where I made the mistakes and they were at the tail end of the course. My traction is at 5 so it can be done. The key, and this is vital, is to get out of the gate fast...max 25 seconds behind at the first time stamp. If you can get 23, like the Youtube video, you're laughing. Brake less on the corners, cut to the inside on the left of the two big lefthanders near the start without slowing too much and cut across the grass on that section with the tight turns near the start. That alone will save you three seconds.
