Just won at Nurb after many tries. Used a Gallardo 560 with everything on it and a (slightly modified) setup from this thread. Caught the lead Muira on the final straight and I swear the bugger tried to block me. Tough race, for me at least.

Do post those settings, please. Like I said, my murc wins all the other races, my Gallardo does 7:24 on the Ring...

Holy freaking crap. After trying countless tunes, this is the one that worked on the second try. Thanks for all the help FruityCakes

Are you kidding me?

I've been trying for the past 45 minutes to achieve the listed gear ratios.

Resetting to default doesn't do anything but - well - reset to default, which it should be at the start anyway.

But if you set the final to 3.140 and then the max to 124 you can't set the 1st gear to anything lower than 4.987!

I'm going to try setting the max first, then the final, then the individuals...

The order in which we do things matters big time... if you don't believe me, try drinking a pop before opening the bottle, or before buying it...

Nope, that doesn't work either, second gear can't be set lower than 2.662...

Closest I got was 3.975 | 2.662 | 2.053 | 1.654 | 1.391 | 1.165

Off to the track!!

Beat all tracks with gold. Bone stock gallardo, no aids, dpad/face buttons. The ring is a pain, takes practice and you should beat it without a tune.

Did you use the same wheels as listed in Fruity's setup? Apparently changing the wheels can change the gear settings, it seems.

I question that max of 124, though - seems I was hitting 193-195mph on the long final straight!

Set your final gear first to 4.596. Then set the top speed, and then you will be able to get all the gear ratio's listed

How did you have a sport air filter with power limiter to only 99% and was under or at 550pp. With mine equipped with that filter and limiter at 99% I'm at 557pp.

I modified this tune a little and it worked good for me. I turned down force rear to 10 , added 50kg in the center of the car, power limiter to 98% with sports filter, TC at 5, skid recovery on, abs at 1, with mt and did very well.... good call on the gearing and suspension fruitcake!

Did not put the filter on because with aero kit the PP was just under 550. I figured it would turn out like the rest of the set ups I used and would fail miserably. As the car breaks in the PP starts to rise. I didn't want to keep reducing the PP limit of the car between races. That's probably why my gear ratio's were not exact. I beleive the LSD settings were the biggest help. I also used the suspension specs. I didn't bother messing with the toe angles.

I do beleive that practicing the course helps as well. I did a number of endurance type races practicing with another LP 560-04, so I'm sure that helped alot. I am by no means the greatest driver ever. I use a dual shock controler ABS @ 1.

Yes, I am not very good at the game either and I use the dual shock as well. I went without the filter at first and did good then I added the filter and put a weight on the car. It all worked out good except for the nurburgring to which I cannot beat to save my life lol best I did was a 7:17 in 4th place.

Trying to win the 'Ring in this has given me my first GT5 epiphany.

I now know why PD developed this race.

To enable us all to complete our horns collection!

:ouch:

This may be a lie I just got a paint chip instead!

Yep, I have the same issue, I've taken to ignoring transmission setups and just going with the tranny trick.

I still dont know what the tranny trick is!!!!!! Somebody please explain it

So as I understand it, and what I do (and the order matters), is this...

1) make sure the tranny is reset to default.
2) Run the final gear ratio all the way to the right.
3) Run the top speed all the way down to the left.
4) Go back to the final drive and run it back down until you get the speed in the upper top speed box (ignoring the lower top speed box) which will have you bouncing off the rev limiter right before you hit the brakes on the longest straight on a given track.

This keeps your engine in the powerband for most cars at most tracks.

Sweet, thank you very much:)

damn i still need to do that ring with the lambo. yesterday i did the ferrari ones and they were much easier.

Did the last race I needed which was the 'ring. Used my gallardo which was fully tuned then restricted down to 540PP. Was fun drifting round the outside of the AI. Tough race though, by halfway Id know if I was fast enough otherwise just restarted.

With this procedure I cannot match numbers of gearing which were posted above :ouch: Not even close... Help needed!

This is by far most hardest seasonal for me. So frustrating... Won at Autumn Ring and Toscana (Pavement). Rome Circuit and Special Stage Route 5 solid 3rd, and 6th at Nurburgring (thou I have tried just couple of times).

I know I'm a little late to the party, but the Lambo seasonal is superb - especially Toscana. Been busy reducing the pp on this one in different Lambos. Currently 485pp on the Countach 25th Anniversary. A great ride!👍

I was able to match these when the top speed adjuster was one or two notches above the lowest 124.

Just joined the forums but been visiting and taking notes for some time. The Ring is kicking my rear end. I use a controller as well (no wheel...yet). I got to 3rd but can't seem to get any closer. Need more practice...but I'm really enjoying the challenge.

Finally beat the Nordschleife with my old age declining skills. Not too proud of the way I took out the final Miura on the last curves, but it finally got me the win!

As a side note, I also won a Mazda Savanna RX-7 GT Limited for having completed the Nordschleife 100 times. So there is some advantage to being persistant. :)

Hi, been fiddling with gear ratios also, but I don't get what is meant in nr.4.. how do I know what top speed to set it for?
Currently i am running on ratios that set my top speed for 196 MPH, but the car only goes approx. 187 MPH on the long straight at Nürb (rev limiter blinking, but not topping out)..

Then you're not doing it quite right. But it's close. Your rev limiter will top out at about 196 if you're drafting another car. I often see that against drag, my engine will get me only so fast, but the actual top speed is only reached either downhill or in slipstream behind another car. Just look at Nascar races... If you don't draft the other cars, you fall way behind, even in top gear at full throttle.
