Thing is, you have to realize that the AI aren't running the exact same laps every time any more than you are. They have good laps and better laps. I've had runs where I've improved my time only to find that the AI had improved theirs nearly as much, or even more, than I did. To me it adds a bit of realism to the events, this idea that the AI can learn while you're learning.

Thanks to Fruitycakes tuine for the Gallardo, I'm just short of 3rd. (So, fourth then!)
It's just me pushing too hard on some of the corners in the last third of the 'ring and losing speed which is holding me back. Gotta be smoother!
Nailed every other race in the series with a personal tune for the Aventador.
Toscana was the easiest of the lot. Mainly due to a massive pile up which included the 3 leading Miuras and a following Gallardo!
Practice makes perfect!

When I was working on this event I used to go to bed, close my eyes and do the whole circuit in my mind, braking points, gear changes and everything. I suspect this is a little sad.

Dinamix, if you need to cheer yourself up take the Miura for a spin on Toscana. I think you'll find it wasn't a waste of money.

I took the Miura to Toscana and could finish 8th and 22 seconds off lead. :nervous:

Hey notice our smileys got Xmas hats!

So maybe this is because I am not using a tune?

Because in the Gallardo I won Toscana by 10+ seconds.

^^I had same prob even though I hit reset default. I messed about with the max speed until all the gears had the range to adjust to. It was 'Max 124' that threw me. It made gear 1 impossible to reach 3.975.

That said, great tune Fruitycakes!!👍 Thanks a lot! :)

I am left wondering if PD messed up on their own calculations as there's not much room for bringing the pp down - Toscana is a good one to try as I was leading by lap 3, but the other races were nip and tuck until the last lap.

Good seasonal - if it was meant to be difficult:tup:

Exactly the problem I found.

The ratios would not match despite resetting to begin with.

I wondered if there is a tune for my Miura too because I can't win anything in it bare.

Guess I will have to find another tune for the 560 then.

Okay, using Fruity's Gallardo 560 tune - does exactly what it says on the tin.

So I can't adjust the gear ratios like others have said, I noticed top speed was set to 199 so I just left it at that, with 1st gear at 3.285 where if tuned I think it should be 3.675 or something.

Anyway, I had bronze before and now I just got lap times of 1:30 and finished 2nd by +1.8 seconds!

So I will have another go, and another until etc.

Did change to sports soft and it does make things a bit more slidy but obviously is helping!

EDIT: 2nd attempt aborted - you can drive better than that!

3rd attempt, lap time down to 1:29.4 and the Gallardo wins it by -3.020 seconds!!

EDIT (so not in multipost?)

AUTUMN RING

Previous 5th now 4th but nearly 10 seconds behind though - great fun!

Now off to Rome to see if I can better 7th place.

EDIT: 6th, 1.5 seconds behind 5th but an incredible 16 seconds off the lead.

Now for Nurburg Nordschleife, not looking forward to this.

Finished 6th and a massive 23.7 seconds behind.

But I guess if I could get the tune to work to its full potential I would get gold in the three events that I haven't already.

You're so close! Keep it up!

Kwicko you are right, it adds much more realism and it is always funny to see a car get stuck in the sand. No time to wave as you go past though, concentrate on the road!

These are Praiano's tunes for the Miura

I used the 550PP one and added a bit of ballast at the front. It absolutely rules at Toscana. You should be able to win easily at 550PP then keep adding ballast and using the power limiter to drop the PP. 460PP was my limit and that was paying out over 2M with a 150% log-in bonus. It's still fairly easy down to 480PP, which will give you a decent payout.
I used the same car for all the circuits in the end. SSR5 was tricky and the ring was very tough obviously, but it's a great car. Not as forgiving as the Gallardo but, being light and powerful, it accelerates like a rocket.

 many thanks I will try all this out tomorrow Stirling.

Like you might have read I got gold in Special Route now so need to conquer Rome, Autumn Mini and that horrid Nordschleife!

Completely hopeless I'm afraid.

Still 6th and 20 seconds behind.

Of course I think something is wrong because I can't ever get the ratios to tally with the top speed so it is all over the place, I must be doing something wrong.

I absolutely hate this car anyway, it's handling, the feel of it, everything.

I want to finish this seasonal but only have the two golds, still to crack Rome, Autumn Ring and Nordeschleife.

EDIT: Someone made a post in the Honda 415 thread that explains what I am doing wrong in the settings so hopefully now I can fix what I haven't done properly and go for these last golds!

Still only 4th!!!! GAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!
After the Karussell, I'm lucky if I can overtake 1 of the Gallardo's.
Any tips to holding my speed through the corners after this??

Are you talking about Toscana or the ring? Sorry if there's been some confusion but that Miura tune is pretty hopeless on the ring with its very low stiff suspension. It should be good for the other tracks though. At Toscana I could win by a huge margin at 550PP and I'm not a top driver by any stretch of the imagination.

I will try it on Toscana. First I tried it on Rome, but someone is helping me now with the settings? So if I do it right on this tune, hopefully it will improve things, obviously I can understand why it is not a suitable car for the Autumn Ring. :)

Dammit, still couldn't win.
Tried the Gallardo tune from fruit, but it seems like the front wheels don't "turn" and I lose grip.
Man, need some vacations from work to do this event properlly.

I've tried fruity's tune, I've tried low weight/power, I've tried junk in the trunk and massive power,I've tried cutting every corner I know, I've tried running the 'ideal' line, I've tried sandbagging... , I've tried gearing for the long straightI've tried gearing for the intermediate straights and I've run the dang thing probably 20 times. Best I've achieved is a 2nd.

Yes that's exactly what I found too. And my best is fourth.

Yesterday, I ran a wicked, heart-pumping lap. I was catching up tp #10 like always, on the first fast stretch and passed on Fuchsroehre. I passed #9 and #8 in Adenauer Forst, but lost it, went off road and was right behind #7 on the following straight. I passed #6 before the second fast long left, kept it devilishly fast and even until the hairpin.

I finished with 7:15 - in SIXTH PLACE!! SEVENTEEN seconds behind the lead Miura!!

Um, ya... Any other time that would have gotten me second.

So I did the Supercar 620pp... in the Murcielago Superveloce... all golds, first try...

Is it still me? I know I can drive...

Know this track like the back of me hand (Nürburgring Nordschleife) n still can't get any better than 2nd and 2.3 secs behind the Miura....Is it possible?

I think it is maybe if you drive though not me!

If you read back the last couple of pages you will see Stirling Moose has helped me by linking some tunes, Fruity's notably, for the Gallardo so we know it can be done, maybe you could try this?

Good luck and welcome to GT Planet.

Yup, I managed to pull it off with Fruity's Gallardo tune. I made some very slight adjustments (down a couple on rear aero, a bit more ballast on the nose, etc.) and it worked for me. I've only won the Nordschleife event ONCE with it, but that was enough for me! It's a bugger of a run, and really any misstep is going to screw your chances, and you've got 14 miles and 170-odd turns; lots of places to go really wrong... :(

Up until today I still hadn't completed this event with Gold. I still only had brongze on the Nurburgring. The Holiday Seasonals with the two events on Nordschleife encouraged me to go back and spend some more time with the Lamborghini Challenge.

I finally won the event passing the leading Muria on the last turn before the long straight. I held a conservative line through the final dangerous turns and won by 1.5 seconds.

I now have Gold on all the Seasonals, the Lamborghini Exclusive at the Nordschliefe was certainly the hardest. I needed to push each turn as hard as I could and make no significant mistakes. That's not easy across 7 minutes of winding, narrow road.

I used the Gallardo with my own variant of the Fruity tune. I tested all the the top Lamborghini's at 550pp at the test track. The Gallardo had the best acceleration and top speed.

I just hit the finish line in 7:01.888 (gold by more than 2 secs.) with the gallardo (543 pp) and the setup provided by fruitycakes with a little bit of changes by me.... just down the aero to 13 and move the 6th gear to top 194mph. No need ads or dirty maneuvers such as cutting corners or hit another car. Just take care of the other AI kamikazes and good luck!!!

"All aero parts" = as much aero kit as you can put on it. :)

This seems to be by far the winningest combination for this event. Most people are tweaking it one or two notches here or there (a couple notches less on the rear wing, for example), but this is the most solid basic setup you'll find.

If I've tried to win the Ring once, I've tried more than 50 times. 2nd is as good as I can get. This tune seems to work best, for sure, but none of the tranny settings match up with the numbers here. I buy the Gallardo (I've got at least a dozen of them), change the oil, add the aero (which isn't intuitive, no matter what you guys say. Add the full wing? Add the middle rear spoiler? When someone says 'full aero', maybe they could say wing or which aero to use on the back.I've heard yays and nays for the wing.) Also, the wheels are not 'gr', they are g2, at least on my edition of the game.
As for the tranny, reset, final drive at 3.140, max 124(I assume it means max on the settable bottom line) and then the gears are supposed to be set as per the numbers given? No way. The numbers given are not even in the range that I have, nowhere near. Believe me, I've done the whole tune EXACTLY as shown but there's no way the numbers are anywhere near the same as mine. Other posters have said the same thing but maybe there is a simple step (not shown) that I and others miss.
Thanks to anyone who can explain this for me (and others).

As mentioned I just won the Gold with the Gallardo. I didn't use a wing setup although I tried it. My times were better trading the extra down force for more horsepower.

I needed all the acceleration and top end speed I could muster. The Gallardo handles very well wtihout the wing.

That was my next step, trying it without the wing. I'll play around with the gears. Seems I need more acceleration, specially at the start. This is the only seasonal I haven't got all gold in, as is the case with quite a few others. Fun but FRUSTRATING!

For those who are still fighting this one, the Gallardo worked for me. I started on this event yesterday, and after coming in 3rd place about 20 times, I finally tried the car and setup mentioned by FruityCakes, with two small adjustments. I bought the Type A rear spoiler, and set it to 13 instead of 15 (and of course adjusted the power limiter back up to 550PP). I also set traction control to 3 instead of 5. This seemed to suit my driving style a little better. Lowering the traction control allowed the car to slide just enough through the corners while still applying power to the wheels. That was the tiny bit of extra grunt I needed. The lead car was within sight on the last turn before the straightaway, and I knew I would be able to draft him and make the pass. I finished in first with a 7:03. This one was a real PITA, but very gratifying in the end.

I have got Gold everywhere expect Toscana. It's driving me nuts. Just can't get the hang of the track. Guess need to knuckle down and practice.
