I have got Gold everywhere expect Toscana. It's driving me nuts. Just can't get the hang of the track. Guess need to knuckle down and practice.

Try to be a bit aggressive on that track, I did that and it works for me

Hi guys .. Long time reader of the forums. Love it ! Don't post much but here is my Lambo seasonal story !

So I have not played GT5 in about 8 months , decided a couple weeks ago to get it back out and check out the new seasonals . Doing them one at a time in order I come across this one . Hop in the forum , do some research , grab a car . Got out the Gallardo , went to SSR5 . 5th. Uh-oh this is gonna be a bear. Bought a 640SV . put Prianos tune on it and wiped up at all but "The Ring"

It has taken a week and probably somewhere around 30 hours of trying , at least 5 cars with 10 tunes on each ... 640SV handled the best for me but just was not fast enough . Gallardo was faster but just couldn't do it .
Today bought a new Gallardo and a combination of all the tunes in this thread . Was it pretty , heck no , am I proud of it ? Not really but a win is a win. You really have to drive that car like you stole it , some intense blood pressure raising moments. Did not lift on final set of turns , hit the grass and angled it sideways so I would hit the wall sideways , hammerd the gas , pinched the leader to the inside wall on way to finish line ... Put my hands in the air I finally did it ...

Big time Thank You to all that has posted anything about this event !! It really does help !!

Congratulations and welcome. I reckon a win on this one is something to be proud of no matter how ugly. I needed a bit of help from the lead car to get round the turn at the end of the straight too. I still remember the sense of joy and relief.

Yeah, I think I might have nudged him into the wall a bit as I went by, too.

That lead Miura is probably the most-abused car and AI driver in the game right about now!

finally after a few 100 tries did it. dirty as u can get, using a controller. thanks mostly to fruitycakes tune, and reading this msg board. also watching lewishamilton vid. then practicing my weak sections by going backwards on circuit and redoing them.

FINALLY! 1st at the ring!

No aids, ABS 1. Used the fruitcakes tune in the end... thanks very much for that. Hats off to Lewis Hamilton as well, that video footage was pretty impressive and helped me shave off the vital seconds here and there.

The other four were pretty easy, as frustrating as the ring was at times (must have had 30 attempts) it was good fun really pushing myself and an awesome feeling when i finally took the gold. Can't wait to go back round the ring in some other motors now, i reckon i must have taken a good few seconds off my best lap times having pounded that one for a few days.

3-Miura pack finishes the Ring in 7:04. 2-Miura pack finishes in 7:06 or so.

If you get a triple Miura lineup, re-roll. The difference is only 2 seconds, but every second counts.

Done it!

At the end the second miura was overtaken by a gallardo?
The first miura was just in front of the gallardo.

I could easally overtake all three at the long strait.

Never seen that before.

I finally beat the Green Ring of Death! Watching the replay, I shouldn't be proud of my performance but I am; I made the enemy (the grass) my friend by cutting across it at every available opportunity, I used cars as buffers and ran them off the narrow track. There were some serious exhibits of skill among all the dirty driving though, some beautiful powerslides and grass/smoke trails which I forced my competitors to eat.

Feelsgoodman.

Edit: Forgot to say thank you for all the help with settings from everyone who contributed.

Finally beat the 'Ring!!! After, god only knows, how many attempts. My own tune with a Gallardo pumping out 490BHP! I took the lead Miura AFTER the final corner, only managed to take him by acceleration! Beat him by 0.653.
NEVER GOING NEAR THIS RACE AGAIN!!!!!!!!! :-)

Sheesh! What an event. I've been in this seasonal for 3 daze now with 90% being in the Autumn Ring. I CANNOT beat it. The best is 3rd. I've tried Fruitycakes tune and Prainios tune. Eventually tweaking my own to get what I need.

I believe the car will win. It's just a matter of driving the very BEST line possible and finding the best combo of Driving Options. At this point, I am having no luck. It's very frustrating because I consider myself a pretty good driver in real life :)) I should also mention that I'm using a controller and not a steering wheel. It probably helps to have a wheel and a way to modulate the accelerator pedal without repetitively pushing the controller button.

A lot of folks don't like to drive dirty. I learned in GT3 that if you're not using the sides of the other cars as a moving barrier at times, then you're too worried about the paint on your car or being black-flagged--which won't happen in this seasonal :) I guess I drive dirty to win, and I cut EVERY corner I can get away with.

Anyway, it's been 2 years(?) since I've posted in here I think. Nice to see this site is really active!

I finally golded The Nurburgring race all thanks to Stotty. I've tried all the tunes in this thread and the best I could manage was 2nd after months and months of attempting this race. This is a winning tune for sure, so anyone still struggling with this event i encourage you to try this tune. Stotty is seriously a tuning genius, please give credit to him if this tune has helped you.

Stotty
Hi,

Gallardo 550ppt tune...

It isn't as finely tuned as one I'd do for an active Seasonal as I only had a short time to build it due to 'better half pressure', but it felt OK for a 4WD car.

New car from dealers with wing (no oil change).

Parts
Engine tuning stage 3
Weight saving 3, windows, carbon bonnet (no chassis strengthening)
Fully customisable gears, diff & suspension
Torque sensing centre diff, carbon prop, twin plate clutch, Racing flywheel

Ballast 200 @ position 50, wing 12, power limiter @ 83.7% (this will be slightly higher for you)

Should make 526bhp @ 1,369kg for 550ppts

Settings
Ride -20 +30
Springs 14.0 12.0
Rebound 6 8
Bound 5 7
ARB 3 6
Camber 2.0 1.4
Toe -0.10 0.00

Initial 10 10
Accel 10 16
decel 5 5

Brakes 4 6

Torque 30 70

Gears (set max speed to minimum, then set individual gears, then final)
1st 3,751
2nd 2.797
3rd 2.286
4th 1.899
5th 1.596
6th 1.363
final 2.500

I'm using G27 and have active steering on strong.

I ran a scrappy 6.55 in free run and a very scrappy 6.57 in the race - I passed the last Muira well before the 2nd Carousel and won by c.5-6 seconds.

For those who find the car too 'pointy', you should try one of the following adjustments...

Change rear toe to +0.05 to +0.10
Add 2 clicks rear wing (and reduce power to compensate)
Increase rear LSD decel to 10-15 - I only ever use 5 myself, so not 100% sure what this would need to go up to, but increasing this will make the rear more stable when braking
Increase rear Camber to 1.6

Any of these should calm it down a bit on entry.

The trick to driving this car is not to use any gas before the apex... if you stick to this it doesn't understeer on exits. If you try to pick up the gas too soon you will run out of track on the exit. Given the limited time I had, this was the best I could do with it.

Cheers,
Chris

Glad it worked for you, Ven 👍 And thank you for the kind words :embarrassed:

There are a couple of bits I missed off my PM to you (I was in a rush to send it)... you might want to edit your post to include the following...

Camber is 2.0 1.4

Even without these little tweaks I was still able to gold the event with your tune. I'm going to give these new tweaks a go and see how it handles. I asked in PM for a winning tune, just to gold the event, not to get the quickest time. It didn't have to be finely tuned. :dopey: You've generously delivered and once again I thank you for your time and help.

Excellent tune but I can't get past Rome! I'm just not good enough to get my lap time below 1.14, I'm wringing the neck out of the car, still having 5 clean laps, but I just can't go any quicker :(

PP keeps going up aswell so I keep having to add ballast. Would I be better reducing the engine power instead?

EDIT - BTW, I haven't been on with this since August! I've only had a go at it for the first time today!

Great challenge

I use the analog controller, maybe I'll have luck with your tune. I've tried everything, I think I've purchased 4 gallardos just for this challenge

I tried using that tune but cannot get those transmission specs for each gear ratio?? whats the proper way to adjust transmission ratios? set top speed first? set 1st gear ratio then work way up?? how does everyone adjust their ratios? thanks

It took a few attempts in my SV trying to catch the two Mirura's at Rome, now there's three of them at SS5 :embarrassed:

Won SS5 first try but only just, I had to block a Miura down the start/finish straight. These cars (back markers included) are all fast on the straights..

Blugh 5th twice at Nurburgring in the 560-4 so trying the Aventador now.. I can't possibly drive any faster.

Giving up for the night, Nurburgring's diabolical, something isn't right especially for the 5 rabbits that seem to be able to get those older cars around faster..

FINALLY managed to do Rome!! Did SSR5 & Autumn Ring after a few attempts, now comes the Ring. I'm awful on this track so I've no option here but to put SRF & ASM on, set Active Steering to Strong and set ABS to 10. Theres no way I'll ever get round the track quick enough otherwise. My first attempt, even with the assists, was a 7:26. This one is going to take some beating, I thought Rome was difficult but I'm not sure I'll ever be able to beat the Ring.
