Wicked, gotta agree, lambo's are very dissapointing, my best was 7:05 I think it was, not good enough for no stf yet! Just managed to clear the 370z tuned ones too, thank god they are over with, a real test for my skill level :)

Thanks again buddy :)

I don't know how many of you are doing this with a wheel with your automatic 7 second advantage, but I don't know how you can do this with a DS3. I've tried every tune to no avail.

Are you using Skid Recovery Force? If not definitely do so.

Failing that I'd suggest slowing down a little more before the corners. I presume you use the handbrake for them.

Unfortunately, yes. I am already on srf.
Not using handbrakes at all. I pass the last gallardo at 1st carousel and thought it was a good lap.
Unfortunately still 2nd and not getting draft from that last miura to win.
Probably need better driving than tune.
Curious why you suggest slowing down at corners when I thought I needed more speed. Able to stay on the track whole way with default gallardo, murcielago and aventador.
Also somehow I cannot match the gear ratio of fruitycake tune at all and the suspension tuning causes my gallardo to slide about.

Dude, I managed it with the above tune, I'm also using a ds3 so it CAN be done, I wish you luck :) no kick its butt!

I couldn't quite match the ratios either, but all the way left in gears 2-5 is close enough fella ;) the above tune is sketchy if you leave your braking really late, dont worry about braking early and getting on the gas earlier after the apex! fingers crossed for you!

that tune is more suited to the pad with braking early and a touch of four wheel
drift through the corners! as to the trans set up, seems to be a querk of GT that the numbers from one persons tune to another changes slightly but you get the gist, shorten 1 2 and 3!
happy racings peeps!

Yes, this really helped a lot ... thank you very much for sharing with us.

I don't know what that means???:dunce:

Just lower the ratio's until they match or won't go any lower ;) your not a dunce my friend, I struggle to understand myself at times lol ;)

Try this procedure:

1- Select "reset to default"
2- Select final gear at 3140
3- Select top speed at 190 mph
4- Set each gear at his ratio

I tried the '74 countach on nurb with only abs on 1 and managed 4th, 10secs off the lead.

Yup, the Countach got me within 9.7 seconds of the lead, but still only good for fourth overall at the Nordschleife. :( That's as good as I've done with any of the Lambos on this course. The Miura got me a pretty easy first on Rome, though.

Some of the AI cars are pulling dangerous moves in this round, I almost t-boned a white Gallardo on the Toscano track coming over a blind hill, and on Autumn Ring they were spinning and entering the track. Not the usual moving pylons. Also, surprisingly, one of the Miuras actually made a counter pass, not just fading away. Anyway this is a tough round, Toscano gold but the rest 6-8th so far.

I haven't tried his tune but maybe he changed from stock wheels or did not do oil change. Both of them things will affect the gear ratios. Just trying to help.

Having some major trouble with the Ring, currently using Fruitycakes tune, i've managed to do the other races except for this one. I might be taking my turns wrong or something, I usually have some sliding in the sharper turns or when braking from high speed.

I guess the other part is just getting more used to the track, sometimes the road gets little bumpy during turns and I slow down even though I might actually still be able to complete turn. Getting around 7:12-7:16 right now, using a DS3.

Any chance you could show a video of how you got <7 mins Fruitycake?

If you put the gear ratios in you gearbox tune and tell them where to put the final gear in again, then this tune would be the tranny trick

This event definitely is hard, or maybe I just can't drive to save my life.
Drive like a maniac and slide into the turns and accelerate out, got 1st on everything cept the Ring by doing that and using Fruitycakes tune. I also had TCS off to help accelerate out of the turn when sliding. (might actually be the reason i can't get gold on the ring b/c I'm sliding so much, not sure.)

You don't have a mobile phone, or any friends or family that have either a camera or mobile?

Any chance you could show a video

I'll sort one out for you. If you ask for a specific car within the next few hours, I'll upload a video with your vehicle choice, otherwise I'll just use the one I already recorded in the '88 Countach.

I'm currently using a Gallardo, so a video shown using that vehicle would be greatly appreciated.

think i did both!!!!

Well, if you did both, thats what everybody else needs to do in order to get your numbers. A suggestion for in the future, tell people if you changed wheels and did/did not do initial oil change as, like I said, both of them things affect the numbers of the gear ratios. That will help clear up any confusion. Also describe how you set up your trans: tranny trick, flipped it, ect.

I golded every challenge with a driving wheel (no driving aids except ABS=1) in the following way :

  1. Rome Circuit
Used tune from Praiano for Lamborghini Miura P400 Bertone at 500 PP
    https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=5751219#post5751219
Upped the car level from 500PP to 529PP
    Won by around 2 sec.
    .
  2. SSR 5
Used tune from Praiano for Lamborghini Miura P400 Bertone at 500 PP
    https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=5751219#post5751219
Upped the car level from 500PP to 542PP
    Won by around 4 sec
    .
  3. Autumn Ring
Used tune from JrDarknes from Reaper's Garage for Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 ‘08 at 550 PP
    https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=6541325#post6541325
This race was a bit dirty, i had to shortcut 2 of the corners each lap in order to come on the Leader (it's needed to lap around 1"21.5 average to win).
By repeating the race 3 or 4 times, lap times are deceasing, may be i could make it clean but another day !
    Won by 2 sec
    .
  4. Nurburgring
Used tune from JrDarknes from Reaper's Garage for Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 ‘08 at 550 PP
    https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=6541325#post6541325
This was the hardest race and i restarted several times. The car is clean but i don't know the Ring track very well (not playing on it often) and had to learn the car on it in parallel.
Won by 1 sec but could be more for frequent "Ring" players.

PS: I also tried Praiano tune for Miura at 550 PP but i was bottoming frequently and i found it hardly drivable on the Ring.
I prefer the suspension of the 500PP tune, but even at 549PP (which is the max), i was not better than 2nd place with this car.
    .
  5. Toscane
Used tune from JrDarknes from Reaper's Garage for Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 ‘08 at 550 PP
    https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=6541325#post6541325
This race was very easy, i was leader at the beginning of the 4th lap.
There is room to reduce PP but i was so bored after the Ring that i didn't restarted the race.
Big thanks to Praiano and JrDarknes for their tunes. 👍

I hope it will help some of you, even if my english is not always perfect.

Well, I put the Murchie SuperVeloce up to third, 7.7 seconds back, so that's some improvement. I'm getting there, but it's slow going.
