just dont understand... bought a new gallardo lp 560-4 for this, followed fruitycakes instructions (thanks by the way) and set engine limiter down a notch to reach requirements... everything was perfect until nurburgring. because of my lousy driving im having a hard time there. but here is the thing - about after every try i have to turn engine limiter down further because my pp is increasing?!? wtf is that all about? if anything it should decrease as my oil gets worse? or am i missing something completly?
and another thing.

he has a equal machine with 570 hp, 1400kg and 551pp. mine has to be turned down to 538hp, to get 550pp and has 14kg more... life is unfair...

So, in other words, you're taking your toys and going home, lol.

Seriously tho, not sure where you get the idea that you have to do them things you mentioned to win the event. There are lots of people who don't drive dirty or use aids and they do just fine. If its your skill level thats holding you back, just keep trying, your get there.

I've got gold in all but 2 of the races, came here for some help and all get is links to people punting and taking shortcuts. I'll just do it on my own, like always. I hate Lamborghini! Lol

As requested, here is a lap of the Nurb in the Gallardo. Not my fastest and not my cleanest, but a time of 6:50 still.

The more interesting part is that the car is almost entirely stock - the suspension, differential, weight, ballast, brake bias, tuning parts etc, everything is stock. The only thing I did was tweak the gears a little, and that's it.

As you break a new engine in, the PP increases. Some guys have broken their engines in by running them for 250 miles or so. I used my Ferrari F10 on the eifel seasonal for easy cash so much that the oil light is on and the PP stopped going up.

Dude you drive like your crotch is on fire! Awesome!
70s Countach - 4secs behind 1st @ rome with minimal work on setup. Think the countach could be the best bet for any1 struggling.

As for the power increasing, that's the engine breaking in; it tends to gain a bit of power for a bit after an oil change, rebuild, or when new.

I did the same - bought new Gallardo because my other had irreversible mods - and had to do the same with the power; I was down to 93.5% of power, I believe.

I tend to early brake on the Nürburgring. Late braking just gets me into trouble. Everybody's got their own driving techniques, but FruityCakes's setup absolutely worked for me. I struggled with the Nurb, but with his setup I was able to nail it in three tries, taking the last pass for first on the long straight and just walking away. I also adjusted the gearing on 6th to give me a top end of 197mph because I was bouncing off the rev limiter on that straight the time before.

Many thanks to FruityCakes for the setup. I was getting very frustrated with this event, but now I'm going back and running it again just for fun!

Indeed. I hit several cars while running this event, but none of them intentionally! They have a bit of a habit of moving into your line when you're setting up that perfect pass. I try to avoid collisions, but I can only drive my car; I have no control over the AI cars.

I've been at this Seasonal Event for 'bout 3 days now....I use a Gallardo tuned at 'bout 472HP, 545PP, SRF on, Active Steerin' on strong, the Toscano track with all that was a JOKE....I was 'bout 14 secs ahead of the Miura when I crossed the finish line 'n that was durin' the THIRD LAP!!! But Nurburgring.....oy gevalt....4th place at best....I've tried raisin' the ride height, maybe...5 rear, 2 front, TCS at 3 or 5....that's just IMPOSSIBLE!!! I'm startin' to think I might have to pick another car....

But on the topic of SRF, sometimes it feels like with that on, the car drives FOR YOU....but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. :|

right... guess its called a simulator for a reason... easily avoided anyway by pressing restart. still 4 sec behind and it frustrate the living *** out of me.

Tried that. I've ended up in 6th place at Rome.

Anyone having trouble with the gear ratios for fruitycake's setup:
1)set the final gear to a higher value (I think I had it in the 4.5's, just high enough that second gear could reach the lower end of the range), then
2)set max speed to its min value, then
3)do gear ratios, finally
4)drop down final gear to fruity's setting.
Any change in final gear will affect the allowed gear ranges, but you need to move the max speed after you move the final gear for it to take affect (assuming your max speed is at the setting you want it left on, just move it, then immediately move it back). After you have it all done you can move the final gear or individual gears around to suit any needs you have for the track, and as long as you don't touch max speed setting you won't have trouble with the gear ratios ranges changing on you, so it should be easy to change back.

Did the first two with something resembling fruity tune, Autumn Ring just doesn't seem to be working out for me so good. Keep getting 1:22 lap times. Bought a new car, and tuned exactly to fruity, I'll see how that goes. Scared to even think how Nurburgring is going to be now.

First post!

Sorry if I sounded self righteous. I too hit cars and run off the track, but I try not to. I'm just frustrated with this chase the rabbit thing. It's a love hate relationship. Lol

,,, (insert Gallardo tune)
👍:)👍

Massive thanks, I had to resort to using this for the 'ring, as it was the only event that I couldn't gold with my Countach. I still had to "maldonado" a few opponents along the way but I finally made it thanks to this.

This has definitely been the most challenging seasonal yet... and the most fun!

I'm certainly not one of the fastest guys out there but I usually get by. I was using Fruitycake's tune (thanks for that btw!), but found that I was just a few seconds behind the leader on nearly every track.

So I made a few suspension adjustments and I was able to shave 1-2 secs. per lap off my time depending on the track. As a result I golded all of the events (except the 'Ring - haven't tackled that one yet and I'm sure I'll have to make other adjustments.)

In case it helps any of the rest of you that are struggling here are the changes I made to the suspension:

Ride Height: -15 / -10
Springs: -10.5 / -10.5
Damp(Ext): 5 / 4
Damp(Comp): 5 / 4
Roll Bars: 3 / 3

Camber: 1.6 / 1.1 (use 2.0 / 1.5 for Autumn Ring)
Toe: -0.10 / -0.15

I'm new at tuning, so I'd be interested to know if this helps anyone, or if it was just better for my particular driving style

Happy racing!

Bloody brilliant lap. I've golded with SRF on but can only manage 2nd without it. In fact I was finding the great Nurburgring a chore, rather than a joy, to drive.

Was planning to give up on golding Nurb' without SRF and actually went back and won a few times without SRF at Toscana, just because it's so much fun doing the high speed sweeping corners. But now, after seeing your video I am recharged, reinvigorated, and will give it some more laps. Perhaps with some downforce at the expense of hp.

Thanks for posting it.

Enjoying this event, even if it's difficult. Started out with a stock Gallardo on SS tyres, which got me through SSR5 and Autumn Ring with no massive troubles, though it did get a bit messy with the lead Miura on the last turn of Autumn. Had a bit of trouble on Rome, like a lot of people it seems. Eventually got fed up and bought a custom transmission, then brought the ratios down little by little until it got me over the line. The same setup worked really well for Toscana, didn't change a thing after shortening the ratios for Rome at it was much easier than Rome was. Struggling with the Ring, but with FRUITYCAKES' tune I'm about 3 seconds off the pace, but I'll get there (many thanks FRUITYCAKES-bought me a good ten seconds with that tune!).

With regards to lowering PP on some races, go with Toscana in a '74 Countach. SS tyres, custom transmission and all upgrades that don't affect PP (ie power upgrades, weight reductions or aero). I bought a custom diff/suspension, but haven't got around to fiddling with them yet. With a rebuilt engine and no weight alterations, I think it sits around 520PP. Now go nuts on the transmission - bring every gear down quite a lot. I'm not at the game at the moment so I've got no idea what the numbers are, but it hits the limiter at 235 to give you an idea. Now get ready to drift. Late brake, and carry the slide on every corner and you'll eat the AI up. Doable with SRF off, not hard with it on.

If, like me, you're out to grind a bit of cash and see how low you can get that PP, it's time to fiddle with the ballast and power limiter. With SRF on, I've got 143kg ballast and about 325hp, gives 480PP. Moved the weight 20 towards the back for more grip out of the corners. Again, drifting like a madman on every corner, you can take every AI on the outside line. I won by about 5 seconds and with 200% sign-in bonus it nets 1.8 mil for a 8.5 minute race, and it's a lot of fun. Going for 470PP SRF on and 500PP with it off next. I want that $2mil! :D

Thanks Lewis for the vid & like you I prefer the Galladro mainly stock [std diff ,center diff & brakes] .[ I tried all the setups] & have the Gallardo down to 520pp on Toscana & still lapping @ 1.40 [best lap] , so still room to lower pp on this one . Like most others here I suck big on the ring .
Cheers Ozi

no worries! good basic tune! everybody drives slightly differently, so encourage peeps to do a bit of fine tuning on it to get to their liking!
happy racin' peeps:cheers:

awesome lap lewis! you did a far better job on the vid than i would have ever done:crazy:!!! (has also edited the fruity tune with oil and wheels included) my bad!!!

try playing around with final gear for nurbs! max speed about 199mph, might help! watch lewis' vid for racing lines!:sly:

i finally did the nurb, finish with a second lead, thanks to Lewis for the video, it really help a lot ! 👍

now gonna do the autumn ring :)

FRUITYCAKES
your tune

Thanks Fruitycakes, that's an awesome tune - first time ever I've even been modestly happy to drive a Lambo.

Now if I could just shave off a few seconds on the Nürb, in order to get that last gold.

On the Nurburgring I found I had decent control with Fruity's Gallardo 560-4 tune, except it was too bouncy. I made the following changes and it responded better on the track:
Transmission:
Reset to default
6th gear: 0.805
It pulls away from the other cars on the long straight

Suspension:
ride height: -15/ -13
Dampers (E): 4/5
Dampers (C): 7/7
ARB: 3/3
camber: 0.9/0.5
toe: 0.11/-0.15

Hope this helps some on the ring. I use a DS3 and still lost even with SRF, but got 5th instead of last like most other Gallardo tunes.

To all users in this thread for suggestion I recommend to drive the Murcielago LP 640, I just realized that this car is a bit faster than the Gallardo

I FINALLY GOT IT!! I don't feel too great about the win, though. I ended up gaining 1sec. on the final straight while in 2nd place and didn't feel like doing it again so I didn't turn and went over the grass... until I hit the 1st place guy. Like I said, don't feel too good about how I did it, but I wanted the win. And I got it! Ended up using the 670-4 for it, as the Gallardo just doesn't agree with me.

the pp is too low why can we upgrade our cars if we can't use it a stock Gallardo after a wing is 549pp lame why these seasonals have such a low pp not 600pp? I'm not having fun anymore I'm not talking about the challenge, the challenge is ok I'm talking about upgrading our cars to a happy medium. If we had a superleggera it would have to be detuned doesn't make sense to me. I guess these are based on expert tuning now. I miss grid starts :( if my lambo has 567pp then the AI should adjust to that pp would be better and alot more fun :)

in my experience at 550 pp the Murcielago has too much understeer which is difficult to tune out and around the nurbs is slower around the corners.
the Gallardo can be tuned to go just as fast as the Murcielago for the last nurbs straight so in balance the Gallardo wins!
what your fastest time for the nurbs lambo seasonal in the Murcielago??
