On the Nurburgring I found I had decent control with Fruity's Gallardo 560-4 tune, except it was too bouncy. I made the following changes and it responded better on the track:
Transmission:
Reset to default
6th gear: 0.805
It pulls away from the other cars on the long straight

Suspension:
ride height: -15/ -13
Dampers (E): 4/5
Dampers (C): 7/7
ARB: 3/3
camber: 0.9/0.5
toe: 0.11/-0.15
Hope this helps some on the ring. I use a DS3 and still lost even with SRF, but got 5th instead of last like most other Gallardo tunes.

agreeded my tune has stiffish suspension, this makes it easier to do 4wheel drift around some of the tighter corners of nurbs.

watch lewis's vid in this thread! this will help you on driving lines and speed into the corners! hopefully u'll be winning in no time!! good luck:dopey:

Thanks Fruitycakes, that's an awesome tune - first time ever I've even been modestly happy to drive a Lambo.

Now if I could just shave off a few seconds on the Nürb, in order to get that last gold.

change final gear on that tune so max speed is 199, should help you defeat the nurbs! hope this helps!:)

GLAARRRRRRGHHHHHH!!!

I bought ANOTHER brand new Gallardo just so I could set it up exactly this way...

So close! I was up to third place, just a few seconds back, before the Karussel (6th was as high as I'd ever been at this point), running up on second place going through a bend, when I put one outside tire just on the grass at 150mph - BOOOM! - instant spin, over-correction, another spin the other way, and nose into the wall. By the time I recovered, I was in 5th place, 12 seconds back. :(

This is the right set-up for me, though. I can feel it. I'm shaving off a full second in the first sector alone over my other cars and set-ups. I'll get there, but I'm having a hell of a time stringing a clean lap together!

That's why it's called the green hell. One little tire off on that narrow course and you ate toast. The ring is my nemesis

For what it's worth, I used Red Valley Racing's Gallardo tune and it seems to handle everything thrown at it. No understeer with just a tiny bit of oversteer.

Weird cuz I manage to win the Rome circuit as well the Autum ring circuit with my Lamborghini Murcielago, still I'm trying to beat the Nurburgring circuit with the Gallardo, the setting that FRUITYCAKES put on this thread works perfect! (thanks btw), one true fact this seasonal event makes me laugh so hard :D

Same with x1s and other race cars.one single mistake and you have to start all over

I think I'm done with this seasonal, golded all except nurb, best I can do is silver there, I can't do a clean lap, the track is too long, too narrow, and the other cars are a b!$@h to pass and now I'm just getting frustrated and over driving the car and crashing within the first few turns. I already have the prize car anyway, this one just isn't worth the stress it's causing me. For stress relief I went backwards and hit the lead muira head on at 180mph on the last straight.

I bought a new Gallardo and tried to use Fruity's tune. Handling is great but I cannot get the tranny set up with those settings. I have tried several of my own tranny set ups but still am 1/2 to 1 second short of first at Rome. I won SSR5 easily with my Super Veloce but am having the same issues with Rome and Autumn Ring, 2nd place after at least 10 tries.

I have been running pratice runs at the Rome Reverse and my best lap times have been low 1:12 runs. Have never been this frustrated with a seasonal as this one. I have won all of them except this one using my own set-ups. I know I am not anywhere near the top of the cream of the crop as far as drivers go. I think I am probably going to just let this one rest for a while. After 4 days of this I have had enough for the time being.

PS: I have tried all the Lambos at the dealership including borrowing the Muira from my other account.

Know how you feel, yesterday I went back to Toscana and drifted around those wide bends at speed to inject some fun back into the series.

As yet still haven't won at Nurb' without using SRF. Will have another go later.

If, like me, you're out to grind a bit of cash and see how low you can get that PP, it's time to fiddle with the ballast and power limiter. With SRF on, I've got 143kg ballast and about 325hp, gives 480PP. Moved the weight 20 towards the back for more grip out of the corners. Again, drifting like a madman on every corner, you can take every AI on the outside line. I won by about 5 seconds and with 200% sign-in bonus it nets 1.8 mil for a 8.5 minute race, and it's a lot of fun. Going for 470PP SRF on and 500PP with it off next. I want that $2mil!

My post of Fri 31st.
Well this is as low as I can go in my Gallardo. Ballast 200kg, power 50%.
Won at Toscana over a Miura, $1,819,994, forgot the exp. Best lap was 1:46235.
315hp ....weight 1369, PP483.
Can't go any lower, used no aero but stayed with SR.
Others could likely go lower as I had 3rd stage engine tuning which can't be undone.

And I bought a Miura for $15 mill but I know I can build up quickly again.

~~~
Might see if I can go lower with a new Gallardo.
I completely agree. After four frustrating days I found myself transforming into a homicidal maniac stalking the AI cars just to smash them off the track.
Apparently I'm not up to this challenge. I too already have the prize car and hate Lamborghini's so what's the point?
I LMAO when I read your post which was just what I needed. Thanks.
I've been fighting with this the Ring ever since this race started. I used the Gallardo with no problems on all other races. I tried the suggestions here and still never did well on the ring. All other races, took gold 1st or second attempt. I'm having the same problems as others do here. AI card moving in front as you pass is the real pisser. I have had my best times by increasing the weight all up front. Looks like I'll just skip winning the prize. Already have had the Nomad for some time. I bought the $15M car to try to win with no avail. I do better with the Gallardo.
The real big discouragement is I know the ring well. I love using the Mazda 787B to win credits when I need them on the 4th A-Spec seasonal.
Do you use any special tune ? I find the std Gallardo faster for me than fruity's or praiano's tunes . I am down to 500pp & still doing 1.42 sec laps , so still room to go lower .
As requested, here is a lap of the Nurb in the Gallardo. Not my fastest and not my cleanest, but a time of 6:50 still.
The more interesting part is that the car is almost entirely stock - the suspension, differential, weight, ballast, brake bias, tuning parts etc, everything is stock. The only thing I did was tweak the gears a little, and that's it.
Wow! Just viewed your lap... You drove like Death himself is chasing you... Wonder how you manage to keep the car in control despite sliding, tapping AI, 3 overheated tires and sometimes all wheels on grass is beyond me. I would have spinned out like a top... At least now, I know how top drivers manage amazing laptimes... Will take a lot more training before I can drive anything close to what I saw.👍
I'm having the same problems as others do here. AI card moving in front as you pass is the real pisser.
Don't forget the rails the AI drives on, you get a good, clean pass and they run right into you and don't get affected while you are left spinning in the grass!
that was an amazing run to say the least!
so to get the same setup, i just put everything back to normal/original stock settings?
I had a go at this one last night. I did all of them except one, in a slightly tuned Gallardo 560-4 at 1287kg of weight and sports suspension.
- Rome took me about 15 tries (not the full 5 laps, as I'd quit after a lap or so if I was too far behind the pace). The key here is to be very scarce with the brakes, and just work on curve-management with good exit speed.
- SSR5 was a great challenge, but after a few tries and seeing how the AI drives on rails, I put the SRF (skid recovery thingie, I have a bad memory for such things). I then won the race immediately after, then I tried turning the SRF off and won it again, though I was literally all over the place.
- Autumn Ring I had a go without the SRF and completely sucked, especially in the final section, as I couldn't keep the car on track. Once I put on the SRF, I won it at the 3rd try.
- Nürburgring, I turned on the SRF immediately after the first try and was doing quite good, though I could never catch the Miuras. About 5 tries later I caught the 3rd Miura. After slipstreaming it on the straight, I managed to get up to about 320kph and lose control later, crashing into the 2nd placed Miura, though I never caught up with the 1st one. The best I finished was 2.039 seconds behind, in 2nd place.
- Toscana was great fun. At the straight in the 3rd lap, the 2nd and 3rd placed Miuras spun out of control at the end of it and from there it was an easy catch up to the 1st place. I spent all of laps 4 and 5 in 1st place. I then redid it without SRF and won it again.
The Nürb one is really irritating me. I'm very much against 1-lap races, especially on that track.
First Attempt, Stock Murcelago w/ Racing Softs:
Rome - 6TH
SS5 - 3RD
Autumn Ring - 6TH (Awful run, span out twice)
Nurb - 10TH
Toscana 106A - 2ND
Ouch. Talk about a toughy.
change final gear on that tune so max speed is 199, should help you defeat the nurbs! hope this helps!:)
Either that did the trick, or it might have been a combination of:
a) playing it for the first time today, totally refreshed
b) The green Murciélago after Bergwerk wasn't being the useless 🤬 he usually is, and I got past pretty decently
c) The second of the rabbit-Miurae spun out at Eschbach
d) The lead Miura got a bit of an assisted exit at the Hohenrain chicane
...but thanks Fruitsy - you've saved me a fortune in ruined DS3's which would have been flying around otherwise.
lols! well done!
tie bungee to ds3 to prevent repeat purchases of tvs and ds3! :crazy:
Thanks for posting that video Lewis_Hamilton. It helped me see I was being too hesitant to throw the car into the corners and trust the AWD. Having given up after several dozen tries with the Gallardo and a heavily tuned Miuria, I went back and nailed gold 3rd try. For the record, my car was stock apart from a wing and transmission upgrade.
I was able to win the Toscana race using Fruity's tune with the Gallardo at 475 PP, but that still didn't earn $2M. Got close with $1,969,630. 470PP should do the trick. I ran without SRF, full 200 KG ballast, minimum DF 0/5, no added parts, PL at 57.5% (333 HP). Use tranny trick and set final gear so top speed (in top right) is 167-168 mph. You may hit limiter just at end of front straight if you get a perfect draft, but the AI pull away to fast even when you are drafting to hit that anyway.
You almost have to get an accident from the front car at some point in the race to win, but that seems to always happen at some point in the race anyway. The AI go wide often exiting turn 1.
EDIT: I failed at 466 PP (removed wing and reduced power more), but it's possible as I came in 2nd only 2 secs behind and made a few mistakes. Plus I don't think the leader ever went off in the first turn. One of the hardest parts at this power is avoiding AI in turn 1 after they pass you and slow for turn 1. It's easy to get caught up in their mess.
EDIT: Won at 468 PP with a couple seconds to spare: $2,100,560
Hated the series to begin with but toscana has become my favorite grinder... I'll easily take 1.5mil in 8 minutes... Can't complain about that...
Need gt6 soon
I was having trouble with the Ring. So I took a look at this page and decided; If it's that hard then never mind. :)
In my opinion, its not that hard. You should at least give it a try then judge for yourself. Main thing is to not over drive the track. The age old advice "slow in, fast out" really works well for this. Start out slow at first and gradually work up your speed as you start to get in a rhythm instead of just trying to go all out on your first lap and don't get frustrated. Take a break if you feel your blood pressure start to rise, lol. These events are doable if you just go in with a positive minset and relaxed. If you're all tensed up, then mistakes will happen. Good luck, you can do it.
i couldn't agree more, not recommend when your blood pressure on a high tense lol. but it's true about the slow in and fast out, need extra patients to do this maneuver.
Tried @ 465PP..304hp...150kg=1560 all up, no aero, and came in second, 9.32 secs behind 1st place! Best lap was 1.44.85 sec with total time 8.55.5.
The winning Muira did a 8.46 total.
Don't recall a lead car being so far in front before, or maybe a 2nd place so far behind, in any case I will start a new race instead of going with this crew again.
With only 150kg I have left myself some room to up the hp later if required.
And to Ozirules, I use Fruity's tune although my gear set up is a bit different as I can't always match his. And I am using a new Gallardo without any engine tune, only free drive train ones which don't up the PP.
Back to the coal face.
