Rome is impossable I can't do better than 7:12.xxx and the lead muria gets a 7:07.xxx how are they so fast I'm at 550pp what how do I get past 4th.I been trying for 3 days

You can get above 550pp in the race. Buy a new car you like best from new car dealer (murcielago, miura or gallardo). Tune it to your liking to max pp. keep racing and restart before race end if you are not 1st after the last corner.

By doing so, your hp and pp will keep increasing as you drive. You will not be disqualified if you restart instead of finishing the race. Ultimately, you should be fast enough to overtake the front runners. This does not work for seasonal time trials as the mileage does not count.

Remember to save after the win. Lost the progress before due to game not autosaving.

It's very satisfying when you win it

I was with you all the way up until the 2J part. Yes, I will be using my dirty oil 2J but I don't copy anyone's trans settings thank you. I have my own setup that I use. I do try other cars, but if its the 2J thats the best one for the challenge, then thats the one I'm going to use. Sorry, but you come accross as bitter for whatever reason. Don't really appreciate your attitude towards those of us that use that car.

Sorry, Cargorat, I didnt mean to offend you or anyone who likes their 2j.. If i came across bitter about the car, I apologize also. My gripe is with people coming across angry and dismissive at the producers of the game simply because there is really no clear advantage in any of the Lamborghinis in this seasonal; and there is no shared tune which will ensure a victory at this seasonal; there are no sandtraps to cut through; the a.i wont let me pass..etc.etc..
Your misdiagnosis of my 'bitterness' is simply a jab at those that look for the quickest and easiest way to win, then complain about the prize car when they win it. Their latest complaint is that its too difficult now!
Im not bitter, Cargorat. Its just that I know how informative, helpful, educational, and entertaining this forum can be; and the increase in the difficulty of the latest events should stimulate the forum rather than pollute it.

Did a couple on 460pp with 300hp, 1610kg. I got up to 2nd on the last lap and by the time we hit checkered flag I was about 2 seconds off. So it could be done I got a little over 1.3 mill with 130% bonus.

Edit: Just won with 460pp with 286hp and 1500kg. Took the lead around the first turn on the last lap.and won by 3 seconds. Won 2mill with 130%.

My post earlier;
Found my winnings etc had not been saved last night so I started again with only $14 odd mill. Saved me buying more cars I don't want anyway but put me back at 38 level.
At Toscana dropped the PP to 466, 308hp, 56.2% power, 1586 kg and won by 2.235sec's. I found I had also lost the Sports Exhaust I acclaimed last night.
$2,137,969..exp 273863.

Reckon if you had been on 200% bonus you would be well on to $3 mil.

I'm usually keen to get stuck into the new seasonals, but there is a challenge now to win at 460PP. I actually tried at 458 PP previously but never won.

Seems I have some work to do yet to even get to 460PP. But I'll have a go. And congrats Zach on your win!

It's official: I have no shame. Last race left of the Lambo seasonal, Nurburgring, and my stock Gallardo and I were trying, yet again, so hard. We finally got past the 2nd place Miura before the straight but were still some hundreds of metres off the leader and way out of his slipstream across the hill.

As I closed in on him up the decelerating windout of the straight, just before the left-right before the finish line, I refused to slow down and kept going. Carrying way too much speed, I veered right and jammed on the brakes, hoping to somehow make it into the road and at least claim my second place when my car, skidding across the grass by now, glanced across the front of the leading car sending him into the wall. My car also went into the wall a few metres ahead of his and we simultaneously gunned it back onto the road for a sprint to the finish. I finished a second ahead of him with a time of 7:05.xx.

Screw it! It counts and no slow driving, road-hogging eleven Lamborghinis are going to take it away from me!

I was having trouble with the Ring. So I took a look at this page and decided; If it's that hard then never mind.

You should at least give it a try then judge for yourself.
hmm...did you happen to read the first 7 words of my 24 word post?
Those 7 words mean that I DID try. (several times - I've won the other races BTW)

Beat the ring in a 560 but it was ugly... fun on Rome though. I'd like to beat the ring clean though.

No problem. I see where you're coming from now.

If you time the impact with the first place Miura just right as you go thru the final esses, you can pinball off him and careen off the armco and end up on the roof of your Lamborghini.

Speaking from experience, this will cost you three places before the friendly corner workers take pity on you and they put your Lamborghini back on four wheels for the sprint to the finish.

The above impact will leave the 1st place Miura slightly dazed, so the 2nd place Miura will slip past for the race win!

Enjoy the view!

Y'know, it's kind of funny and ironic - most of the seasonals and TTs, there really *IS* a clear-cut "best" car to do them in, at least if you want to try for the leaderboards.

This time around, you can pick any Lambo you want (except the Nomad Diablo), and the events are just about equally as hard no matter which car you choose.

I got frustrated a few times with these events, but not because of what my car choices were limited to; I was frustrated with my seeming inability to step up my game enough to master these events! I did, but it took me more than one try. And that, it seems, is the way it should be for any game calling itself a driving simulator.

I got really aggravated with myself on the 370Z Nurburgring TT, too, but that was because I was able to navigate tricky parts seemingly with ease, but then kept screwing up "easy" parts and DQing my times. But I kept at it, and I golded the event, finally, after probably 50 or 60 starts.

Nobody made me do that. I took the challenge on myself. Nobody is being forced to run ANY of these events. You take them on, and if they're tough, they're tough. They're by no means "impossible", though, and I'm living proof. I have far more bronze medals than silver or gold on my license tests, but I've managed to gold all these because I kept at them and kept working 'em.

@ Kwicko: You took the words right out of my mouth and the thoughts right out of my head, lol. I nominate this as post of the year. This is exactly how I feel about the whole thing also. And, congrats to you on your accomplishments. Just proves once again that preserverance pays off, you are a prime example. Again, congrats to you, and others, who are accomplishing these events. And to the others who are still struggling, don't give up...don't ever give up. If you want it bad enough and have a positive mindset, it will come.

It took me trying my own "standard" tune that usually works for me, then trying someone else's, then someone else's, THEN yet another, and then fiddling with that one a bit to make it more suitable to my driving style.

When you find a tune that's working for you, SAVE IT TO YOUR SETTINGS SHEETS! Then fiddle with it a bit, see if your times improve, and if they don't, you've still got the good tune saved.

FruityCakes's Gallardo tune worked great for me, with just a couple minor tweaks, and Dante's 370Z tune did the trick once I firmed up the front a little.

For anyone who's having trouble with these events and time trials, seek help from some of the tuners around here. You will find something that will help you out. Dante's 370 tune shaved about 4 seconds off my 'Ring time, and Fruity's Gallardo tune netted me more than TEN SECONDS on the 'Ring.

Moral of the story? You can do it, and others are here to help.

Even tho I didn't have much trouble with these events, there was a time that I was struggling with this game when I first started out and can also say that there are alot of good people on these forums that are very helpful. There have been quite a few people that have helped me in the past but now its mostly up to me to keep practicing and further up my skill level. Practice, practice, and practice some more. I practice about 8 to 9 hours a day.

Unfortunately I have a life, a full time job, and acreage to take care of, I also ride my 4 wheeler and dirtbike on the weekends so I can't play video games all day. I maybe play gt5 five or six hours a week right now so if I can't get gold in that time I have to go without.

I'm done with this one. This challenge is ridiculous. Gold on all except the ring. It can kiss my a**. Tried all tunes but still struggling. I got a 7:03 and still 2nd. Forget it.

Well, unfotunately, I don't have a life. You see, I am disabled due to being hit by a drunk driver. I wish I could do all them things you mentioned, and more. So, I am stuck with the life, or lack thereof, that I have been dealt. Hooray for you being able to do what you want. This game and most of the people on these forums are all I really have and what has kept me sane. So please, don't knock me just because I have more time for this game than you do. Trust me, I wish that wasn't the case.

I like your attitude. I was the victim of a car crash myself. The guy driving us to work blacked out and ran off the road at over 60mph. We jumped 3 ditches caught some air and when we landed it broke the truck in half. I broke my back shattered my left leg from the knee to the ankle and broke most my ribs and jaw. That was 3 years ago and while they were able to put me back together, I'll never be the same. I work 4 days a week, it's all I can manage. But I'm alive and I'm thankful for that.

Much like lthe 80' japanese races, one too hard the others more balanced. The nurg is very hard, could only win it after many tries and after cutting engine power and fitting aero parts to a gallardo. Oh, and smashing the leading miura into the rail at the last chicane...
Rome was a lot more fun and more doable too. Not much of a Toscana fan but the crashes on the first turn made it really easy.

Max Cavalera
I cant win the first race on Rome. Can someone give me some settings and what car to use?

560 gallardo exhaust, racing air filter, 2.7 front camber 1.5 rear, asm off, tcs off = 7:01 easy first place on burg

Yup Rome is really fun in a fully tuned 560 with no wing.

I feel dirty about my nurburgring victory though. I'm a dirty cheater.. I gotta get a clean win on that one.. No aids though, ever.

Once you get the hang of it in 460pp it's super easy. Make sure to put all the weight in the rear. Won by about 5 seconds tonight. Not a big difference between 130 and 150%.

Keep to the tune that gave you 7:03 and you've got a good chance in securing the win. I will try to repeat the challenge soon.

Nurburgring is really hard. I beat it with Gallardo with no aero parts.

I don't remember right now, but it was like that
Weight: 45 Front, 55 Rear (about 1300kg total)
Power limiter 100%
Spring rate: 9.0 front, 10.5 rear
Caber: 0.5 front, 0.5 rear
Toe: -0.2 front, 0.2 rear
Brakes: 6 front, 5 rear
Gearbox: standard with 350km/h max speed

The point here is to not hit A.I. cars, because for some reason Miuras on the front will get a boost (I get this from observations), you can touch, scratch, but no hit.
