Ah, so it is a 2+2 after-all (assumption based on the shutline leading into the roof at the rear).

It isn't a 2+2 going by some articles.
Top Gear
If the Asterion has packed away its six-shooter, it’s still delivering a full-blooded rebel yell. A mid-engined two-seater coupe measuring 4.7m long, it uses an adapted Aventador carbon fibre monocoque, mostly in the lower section, with a different roof structure, and its wheelbase has been stretched to create more interior space. It borrows the Huracan’s stunning 607bhp 5.2-litre V10, which is hooked up to a blistering dual-clutch seven-speed rear transaxle auto ’box

I wonder what that mysterious shutline is then. Must be part of the engine bay cover/hood, or maybe they're RX8 style doors but instead of seats it's just storage..

[EDIT]
Yep, after a further look, probably just the engine cover/hood shutline.

I think Mos Def said it best:

"Alright okay, alright okay, okay
Alright okay, I'm feelin you, okay"

Not sure keef, Andre 3000 was pretty eloquent too:

"Whooo...
Alright, alright, alright, alright
Alright, alright, alright, alright
Alright, alright, alright, alright
Alright, alright"

That color is hypnotic. Awesome.

I agree. And the car looks like the combination of the Estoque, Alfa 4C, and the Lotus Evora.

Hopefully they take that car seriously alongside or after the production of Urus.

(thoughts based on the pictures to Post #128)

As someone who loves the Lamborghini Miura, this Lamborghini Asterion kind of reminds me of a modern Miura. Only that this is a Miura with the DNA of the Aventador and the Huracan. Some of you know blue is my favorite color. So I certainly love this blue. The wheels look quite nice. This is quite awesome to me.

Man, what a great looking car, and really, a great idea. A usable Lamborghini? What an age we live in!

All joking aside, it looks to be a strong contender to the F12, and an interesting backhand to the P1/918/LaFerrari situation by giving a slightly more regular car a more practical approach in terms of powertrain. As much as Ferrari dominates in the marketing, I do feel like VAG did their homework with something like this. Evidently, it comes off like Lamborghini saw an opportunity in the market, and they went for it - and honestly, I couldn't be more excited. I mean, this is the kind of product that could lead us to a 918-powered 928 successor. Or maybe a bonkers Merc SL. I'll take whatever they're giving us right now.

I'm starting to think that's not it. Look how the doors are shaped, why would they go all the way out to the front wheels?

Went all the way to the front wheels.
And the mirrors look very plain to be from a Lamborghini.
The mirror got sleeker, but retained the same overall structure.
The rear just looks like a copy-paste of the Huracan, which makes no sense if the car has an Aventador platform and V10 engine from the Huracan.

Some details changed, but again, basic structure of the rear was spot on.

Yeah, I'm saying it's fake.
I think it looks spectacular.
Went from fake because of doors & mirrors to looks spectacular when all the magazine missed was basically the front & rear bumpers as they were going off the current design scheme; even then, they weren't far off.

It's inoffensive enough style-wise, in fact the more i see of it the more i really like it, but its ultimately pointless if only a concept not ever destined to make production. It doesn't really point towards any future style-direction for Lamborghini either, as we've already seen these design features on their other existing cars.

As it uses the existing V10 supplemented by electric motors, i'd imagine that it's a down-sizing direction that the Aventador replacement will utilize replacing the V12.

I hope the naff placement of the shield in the c-pillar isn't something we're going to start seeing on future Lambos.

Thats some good Jarama.....I mean Espada......I mean Asterion, damn.

(Revived after 2 decades in silence alongside the Urus as the LM002)

Estoque front end. Looks good and the more bonkers styling should be reserved for the higher end Lambo's.

The splitline to open the rear is kind of annoying though, its not well positioned IMO. Sticks out like it's a concealed rear door like you see on the RX-8.

I wish to god they would make the Urus, it really looks amazing.

Doesn't matter, it was still fake. And I never said the fake version looked bad. The real version looks better anyway because it has original design elements, not copy-pasted elements from the Huracan and the Aventador.

This thing looks production. And even if it doesn't make it, the hybrid part of the ecuation will reach the Urus when/if it finally comes into fruition. I can't imagine developing a hybrid system was cheap to just let it sit in a concept car.

After seeing the EVO video on it, I absolutely love the way this car looks. It has a softer, prettier look than the current Lambo range, and I rather like that. The interior is lovely, as well.

GT Styled Hybrid that actually looks great..

And I'm having a good laugh reading the comments of a post on Facebook about this lambo, people saying things like
If you gave me one id sell it and buy a REAL lambo... Like the Aventador. **** saving the planet. Oh and sack the stylist.
This is an insult to every Lamborghini Fan!
No car lover is waiting for a "Hybrid" anything....something with a straight up V12 though, thats a different story.

These people........ :banghead:

What a beast! That car looks pretty freaking cool. Nice to see a somewhat unique looking Lamborghini ever since Audi bought them out...now imagine all the crazy one-offs they'll build based off this!
