Lamborghini in GT5!

Before any-body tells me this has been on a previous thread ( which it has been ) ( older threads - 2007 ) with no real answers,today I heard rumor since GT5 has Ferrari signed on now,and Porsche is immenent,that Lamborghini is now talking to Sony and Polyphony Digital. yes , no , maybe , who knows,has any-one else heard new rumors on these cars being in the game ? I think it would only make sense to have these fine cars involved in GT5,if not they will be missing out on the exposure.

I seen a video recently of a real Gallardo racing against other real cars in GT5P, all the cars had official look GT5P stickers all over them but its not proof by any means but it does make it seem like that Lambo will be in GT5.
I'm sure someone will have a youtube link for it but I'll try to find one now.

I saw loads of cars pasted with GT4 stickers that were never included in the game from represented and non-represented companies. Advertising on a car is simply a deal done with the race team and in most cases has absolutely nothing at all to do with the content of the game, if the advertising is done on a factory teams car it opens up other possiblities but the chances are still that it's just an advert and nothing more.

As for the video GT geniums, it wasn't a clip from the Nurburgring 24hr race was it, because every car in that race had GT stickers on them since GT sponsored the event.

Yeah, just like that Labre Competition Porsche 911 GT1, which had Gran Turismo on it, way back in 1998. Did we see Porsche since then?
I reckon we have more chance of seeing Lamborghini in the game than we do Porsche simply because Audi and VW are in game and we know VW really likes Kaz.

Porsche I think is way more likely than Lambo because its kinda less exotic..

Ah, you're talking about the french promo video, where they just have a track day? That looked a little unofficial if you ask me. Looked more like one of those "heres some cool cars, drive them" event that was some kind of reward or something from PD, not really connected to GT5.

That shouldn't have any affect though on whether or not it's more exotic as both companies still produce some rare machines.

However, the last news I heard was that Lamborghini was in talks with Polyphony. Haven't heard anything since.

Your probably right, I think thats what it was. I'm after seacrhing the whole of youtube and cant find the video. So i'm glad someone else remembers it cause I was begining to think I had dreamt it!

Exotic shmexotic, Forza, a game with damage, and worse graphics has cars from Koeniggseggs to McLaren F1 LMs. Including many old and new Lambos, Porsches and Ferraris. It's up to PD if they get these cars, I'm sure the companies are willing.

I am not so sure that it is PD's right to just go out and snag manufacturer's cars,I am willing to bet that you have to have licensing agreements ( per manufacturer ) to use these cars,other-wise that is called infringement rights and that is lawsuit city.I really believe that PD would want Lambo's in the game,it's just up to Lambo to sign on.

It's upto PD to reach an agreement price wise and to hand over the cash, if Lambo say "ok but we want £300k for the license for these cars and PD say "no we will give you £200k" and no compromise is reached then PD will not get a license to use Lambo's. Some manufaturers practically hand over the licenses, others tend to pride themselves on exclusivity a bit too much as a company and try to extend that to areas like this and as a result they often ask for a lot more money for thier licenses. Lamborghini don't need to be in GT and they'll know this, it's a question of how much PD is willing to spend to get them in and they won't be spending stupid money.

Which leads us back to the original post,has any-one heard latest rumors of Lambo's entry into the game.The reason I posted a new thread on this is while at a customers place,his kid was playing GT5P and he and I started talking about the game.He stated he read in some " gamer " magazine that Lambo was talking to PD and Sony about entering into GT5P, which kind of sparked my interest,but we all know how rumors are,just inquiring if any-one else has heard more.

Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti etc . . . belongs to Volkswagen group, for that reason I dont belive that Polyphony Digital have to pay a lot of money for the licence of Lamborghini brand.

And like we see in GT4 Polyphony Digital introduce Bentley, is maybe possible to have Lamborghini or Bugatti on the GT5.

VAG do, whether they leave it upto each individual company of make these decisions themselves though is upto them. The only way PD would get the Lambo license cheaper I guess would be if they negotiated a license that included several brands within one deal and Lamborghini was included in that, the total of a license like that might be cheaper than all of them bought seperately. But all this is pretty moot since no one here really knows who's making these decisions and what clauses VAG and/or Lamborghini have within other contracts and licenses out there.

Except it doesn't work that way within VAG or even Fiat's group. Lamborghini makes their own decisions on whether or not they will be in a game. And at this point, it's just negotiations as far as we know.

They're still trying to raise it from 31% to over 50%, anyway I just said that to stop the crazy belief that Lambo is more of a lock than Porsche is due to VW's relationship with PD.

Just to clarify, it isn't a DB9 but rather a V8 Vantage, which is pretty likely to be included. Also, there is a Mercedes-Benz SL of some sort.

Forza has Microsoft completely behind it. Sony doesn't work that way behind PD.

I would bet the bank that PD / Sony has approached Lambo,but no-one can come up with the TRUE reason why there are no Lambo's, ( licensing ? ),( Lambo not interested ? ), who knows, I think it is strange that you can get other games with Lambo's in them,why not GT5 ?
