Launch Bonus Pack & Pre-Order Cars - Available Tuesday to Everyone

I have the LCE and I wasn't a fan of exclusive preorder cars. I knew these would eventually be sold via DLC. As much as I want the Subbie and the 1M, I'm not paying more for them. It sucks that folks have not received theirs yet btw. I think what isn't right is that only 3 months after launch that preorder and LCE cars are being made available to the public. I'd expect at least 6 months to a year, not just 1 single quarter. That's about the only gripe I have. I expect DLC to come into an ultimate collector's edition pack like the FM3UC did but just 1 quarter... what's the incentive for me to get FM5 LCE if just 3 months later I can get it all for under 600MS points? I only really want the 1M and the Subbie!

The current M3 would have been better for me if every one I've heard on the street not sounded so underwhelming. The Audi RS4's V8 revs to similarly high levels, but sounds a lot more V8 at low-revs than the M3 does.
 
Well its worth picking up from my point of view as I only have the Alfa at the moment; really want the LCE cars for the Noble however.

I might pick up the Alfa and the Bimmer, I already have the Launch Bonus cars and the Impreza (despite buying the LCE 2 weeks after release :lol:) from GAME.
 
I don't think I can be arsed this time. I got an LCE at launch so I'm only missing the 1M, the Subaru, the CR-Z and the Alfa.

Nice of T10 to make these launch bonus cars available to everyone though.
 
Guess I need to get some Microsoft points. I do not want to see any black Bora online unless someone is actually driving a black Bora, and I must has that Subaru.
I need to find a way to get the s204 annoys me that I can't get all the Subaru's.
 
Hrm, not sure if I'll be picking this up, since I have 6/10 of the cars, and only 3 of the remaining ones interest me (the Mini being the odd one out). It's slightly cheaper to grab cars individually, I suppose.

ShawnPhillips - if you already have the M5, you won't have Blackboraitis. :)
 
Well, that was a lot sooner than expected!

I'd cheer, but they really ought to be free, least of all to Season Pass players. :grumpy:

Being based off the E90 has done the 1-series no favours regards its packaging or weight, has it?

Still the most 'BMW' looking of their current range, though. In an age where they no longer sell an N/A six, tradition counts for something.
 
Great bit of news!

Now I finally have the 1M, Giulietta QV, CR-Z EX and Clubman JCW.

I really was starting to think if they'd ever release them in a DLC pack. Luckily, they did 👍

This pack however is not included with the Season Pass so if you want it, you're going to have to shell out even more $$. Rough cause I bought a 360 for FM4, the LCE, a headset, Season Pass, XBL Gold, and now more money for another pack. Me, I've got nearly $400 invested just to play FM4. MS and T10 are getting a little greedy. Jeez!! But it would be nice to have the CRZ.

What? Not included with Season Pass? I'm new to Forza, been a GT player for many years, but I bought an Xbox to play Forza 4 along with the season pass. So is this a bait and switch? A money grab? Or normal behavior on this platform? Did I miss the fine print when I purchased the all inclusive Season Pass? I especially like getting the DLC and then having to purchase the cars from the dealer, nice! It's a shame, because I really like the flow of the game, (graphics, control, realism), better than GT5.

Didn't the fine print say 6 DLC packs come with the season pass? I don't recall saying "Any and everything Forza comes with the season pass". Now when they start talking about Forza 5 and you still haven't received your 6 DLC packs then you'll have reason to make this post.

Now let's go to opposite world. Alternate reality world. In this world the this DLC comes as part of the Season Pass and counts as one of the 6 DLC packs...

Agreed. Secondly I would be pretty upset if I got the season pass and 6 out of 10 of the cars from one of the 6 packs were cars I already have.
 
That's just it, though -- full/standard price for the pack when some players already have some of the cars is kinda lame. Any way you look at it, that's paying for content you already own.

They should have offered the preorder and "ship bonus" cars as separate packs.

That's the great thing about being able to buy single cars. I will only buy the ones I want.

Agreed. Individually each of the four cars I don't have are 160 pts. If I spring for the entire pack, I'm paying 140 pts for each of the four cars I don't have.
If I didn't have any of them, it's 56 pts per car.

If all four cars were one I absolutely had to have and I didn't own any of the others, I would've downloaded the pack.

I think I can wait for this one to go on sale.

i cant believe all the negative feedback on the sites i go to about dlc cars each month...

for years everybody complained about the lack of dlc and now with turn 10 putting out 10 cars a month plus the pre-order acd pre-release cars people are still finding something to bitch about...

I'm actually glad T10 released these cars for the players that missed out on the pre-orders and launch release.

I pre-ordered so when the game came out I got the Alfa and the five launch cars. With the way T10/MS has released these cars to everyone else, I feel like I'm being asked to pay for something that was given to me as a reward for pre-ordering.

It's a great deal if you don't have any of the cars and want at least three of them. Not so great if you have most of them already and just want to complete your collection.

If they would have offered the Pre-Order and Launch cars as their own five car packs for 300 pts each then you've got a situation where everybody wins.

Where are you getting those figures? How is it 140 pts per car when the entire pack only costs 560??
 
For someone with the LCE cars and one of the preorder cars, they're only getting four cars for their money. Hence 140MS per car. If you have the LCE cars but none of the preorder cars, it's 112MS per car. Just slightly better than the price for downloading individually.

If you only bought the four or five cars you needed, you'd pay 640MS or 800MS. And if you buy the pack, you're paying extra for cars you already have. So you can either pick one or two cars you don't have, or basically get ripped off.
 
Wait a minute.. I'm not too familiar with single car DLC's (although I know they are now available in FM4) but are they really 160pts per car??? If so that is a problem with the single car pricing.

Luckily for me I still only want 2 cars from that pack and I already have 6 of the other 8.

2 that I wan't = BMW 1M, Subaru WRX which is 320pts and thankfully still less than the entire pack although that price still is pretty high for 2 cars. Single cars should be more like 80pts per car.
 
I must admit I'm not exactly happy with this DLC. The ship bonus pack and pre-order car packs should be sold separately for say 300 points each, and the individual price of cars should be cheaper. I already own six of these cars due to buying the LCE but want three of the pre-order cars (Alfa, BMW and Mini - I already have the WRX).

Normally I'm very supportive of Turn 10 and their DLC policy but I think in this instance they are being a little greedy. The two packs should be sold separately, that's my issue here.
 
My god quit bitchin. Either buy the dlc or don't.

Amazing how people lick PD's *** for dlc a year after release but if T10 releases dlc "too soon" then the Internet is set ablaze.

No one made you spend $400 on one game.

T10 did not make FM4 solely for you. Regardless of how special you think you are.

T10 did not have to hand out pre-order incentives.

T10 did not have to offer them as dlc. At all.

Are you really complaining that they released them too soon?

Where some of you get this mentality of entitlement is beyond me.
 
If you don't like the "bitchin", no one said you had to keep reading and post here. You post reads no differently than the ones you are going on about.
