Here's a couple laps from Sunday's race. The camera is kinda far back which makes it look like things don't quite line up but when you're in the drivers seat it looks good. And I don't drive from that view but you don't get cockpit view from online replays.

My first GTP podium has eluded me for so long. Can this Sunday be my day? Probably not but it's worth trying :lol:

-I technically got a podium before in the 86 trophy but it was only 4 people there including myself so it wasn't a worthwhile one.

An end of an era somewhat, isn't it? A short, meaningless era, but an era none the less.

Considering this thread started its humble beginnings with a clueless post by myself about any races around GTP featuring the Rocket it really was unlikely the series developed as it did. It's been a privilege having such a respectful and talented bunch of individuals to share the racing with and I am incredibly thankful to everyone who joined in the racing and participated in the general nonsense that made this thread a fairly reliable source of lols. It really has been a pleasure ;).

The NA Mazda Roadster race will be at Grand Valley and will start on the 6th of April and if all goes well a series will follow on from it, closely (if not exactly) taking the current time spot the Rocket currently occupies; there will be a thread up this Sunday and obviously I'll be sure to keep updates on this thread. It would be great to see everyone there, but I appreciate it's a big change from what we currently do and may not be to everyones taste.

Regardless, we have one race left - and I can assure everyone I'm going to be ending the series with a fight :P. Catch you all at Brands 👍.
 
I still badly need some practise, about 3 secs down right now... :boggled:

Looking forward to it though, i've been keeping an eye on the weather report for sunday and it looks good 👍

I keep an eye on your series Brutaka! Unfortunately I can't race Saturdays, sometimes I can, but it's often very late in the evening.
 
Because I'm an idiot and presumed it was 10 past 9 i switched my PS3 on not 10 past 10 I messed it all up. if anyones still around i'll launch the race or I can postpone it to next week, whatever people want - I'm an idiot, I'm really sorry guys!

I think it's better next week, because:

  1. We can still be (more) excited
  2. Our schedules won't get thrown off
  3. I'm about to have dinner
  4. I still need to practice

^you're too kind @MatheusBond , but I'll admit that was a stupid mistake by me :P^

We had a short race. If anyone has any burning suggestions for a track they wish to try then there's a free spot next week if people wish to continue. New thread will be up soon (as in a few minutes) - hope to see everyone there!
 
I'll prefix this necroing of the thread by stating I hope people are still following it :P.

It's been a while guys, Hobbsy is kicking off his new series (hopefully) this month; link here. But I wanted to see if anyone was up for a one-off race in the usual Sunday time spot before Hobbsy's series starts with the new Senna F3 car?

This'll just be a one off, really want to give it a good go with some fellow open-wheel talent ;). Regulations will be the same stock/SH/no aids/etc and we can use any track that seems popular at the time. Anyone interested?
