Good to see someone else on-board! I think when you mean 'UMT' you actually mean UTC, this stands for Universal Time Current and, yes, it is exactly the same as GMT. It has become standard practice to refer to time zones in UTC +/- so that's what has been done to try and make it easier for some to understand.

thanks, i've just spent about 5 minutes reading it up on wiki...i guess if it makes things easier to understand then it's probably a good thing.

so am i in if i can get a racing team-mate?

Well, you can put your name up to 'apply' for a team mate. That means we'll put your name in the leaderboard so you have a place and it also allows other people, who may also be looking for a team mate, to see you as a potential candidate.

As long as we get more people signing up you should easily get a team together!

i might be available to invite someone from my buddy list on PSN if he's free on the days/times... would this be ok?

otherwise i have no qualms racing with somebody on here who wants me as a teammate... i officially put my name forward as of now

thanks :)

We must ask that prospective team mates are registered to this forum. It means that updates can come directly from them should there be a problem with attending a race and that we can ensure that they are active and are not filling a space without using it.

Other than this it allows us to put a name to a racer here on GTPlanet, we can communicate and not just see him/her for a few hours of a weekend. I hope this is not too much of a problem, we would very much like to see new members as well as 'familiar faces'!

sign me up, when's the race?

We have not yet confirmed a date for the season opener. First, of course, we have to finish series 1 which ends on Sunday 20th February. After this we will wait for everyone to register interest and let the grid fill up. Then we will announce the date of the first race on the main post and as a new post, just keep checking back!

From now on I think we should hold recruitment to wait for people from the old series to get involved. People who have signed before I posted this are still in though.

I will resume the recruitment in a couple of days.

now that my name is on the list (thanks)... i'm putting myself forward for a team mate.
if anyone's interested, pm me or add me to your PSN (HortusIX) so we can chat team names and colour schemes etc...

fyi: my fastest time around the indy road course so far is a low 1:30 so i'm not quite championship contending material just yet as i see some are posting times in the 1:28s...maybe when i get myself a wheel (likely to be mid season) my pace might improve. someone who can post similar or faster times than that would make a good team mate.

i'd love to join you guys in what sounds like a real racing team who want to race for the rewards. can i join please...im like to race properly and to the rules its better that way.

see you later maybe hopefully!!

We have 1 free space left until people looking to sign up will either have to pair up with someone already on the board or will have their partner chosen by the organisers.

The Elise series is over which means we can turn all of our attention to this one!

I hope you are all practising in your teams.

I will set up some kind of web page for Team Updates and for race videos etc.

I can now move my attention over to the TVR! I think me and Europa are starting to find a good set up, reducing the understeer.

Also, I have just finished uploading the pictures from the final race of the first season, please take a look and comment on any you might like.

El_Aliens69, HortusIX, dalesummers and akmuq can you all sort it out between yourselves whos teaming with who,

I have a suggestion that might make the 'teaming up' process easier.

It may be an idea if everyone who is looking for a team mate posts a little bit about themselves. It could be what previous online racing series experience you have had, how well you have done in past championships or even just your favourite colour; that way there will be less dispute over colour choice!

This might mean you get a better idea of who you would like to team up with so you know who, and who not to, contact.

I'll come back after the Lotus season to take this on. I'll need a partner.

Facts:

I tried 5 laps of the Indy Road course and only managed a 1:31 so I'm not the fastest by some way but for 5 laps, that's fair.

I drive a Chrome TVR Tuscan and will NOT change it's colour and lose the chip to accommodate 'Team Colours', so if You want to partner with me, you'll receive a version of my car for FREE, which is RM'd and fully loaded.

Assertive much? :)

I'm a kung fu instructor... Assertive is my middle name! :)

Just wanted to be clear that I don't want to lose my ONLY chrome chip... Who would after all?

I'm offering a FREE car worth 400,000 approx! (what a nice 'assertive' chap I am)

Sounds good to me mate! I'll add you tonight :) 1 FREE Tuscan will be on it's way later! PLUS, I'm in Amsterdam so our timezones sync pretty well (I'm one hour ahead).
