Finally grabbed a win after going against chev's hard charging FD. I chose to lead and gave my Evo absolutely everything to try and spread the gap. Chev kept an excellent pace but was slowly falling back as I threw my Evo around the course. I eventually won by around 2.2 seconds. Great battle

confirmed, thought since i beat frag he'd be easy, he wasn't.

Faced snake on our team substance home course. We ran a first round with him in lead and i harrassed him each turn but he guards his line well, got to last section and was forced into wall so we redo. same situation, my fd is faster in the turns so i harass him to the open section and even though i hate to pass on a straight he gets loose in the sweeper and i rocket by to win by overtake.

My best battle of this season, had huge fun racing this dear friend, he,s always a composed driver and very competitive. I could do nothing against his super fast Elise, and his superior driving skills. No matter what, we carryed this duel to 9 rounds of spirited driving! Badboy caughted me on 9th round, I tryed to regain lead but my tires didnt helped much, so I saw his Elise tail light getting away. Epic battle!!! :)

Confirmed (didn't realize you posted it Frag ^^)

Another great battle, lasted up to 9 laps!! Where do I begin.. Lets put it like this, every time I was inches away from his rear bumper he wouldn't lose his composure which I was testing his limits and he was doing a great job under pressure. I only ended up with a winning pass because he had loss of tire wear... Great guy, great racer, great times :)

Battle Comments: This was my first race in class B and I was sure it was gonna be a good one against vasho! I had the home course advantage but he quickly memorised the track and I decided to chase first to see how it would go. The first two rounds were very tight as the Elise seems pretty close to my RX-8 in terms of handling, but in the third lap vasho finally made a mistake around the midway point, leaving me enough space to pass him on the upcoming straight. He couldn't keep up after that and I won by about 3 seconds. Looking forward to the rematch on his home ground 👍

@Takumi: I barely remember the battle and I don't seem to have the track, sorry.

@SolidSnake: Wasn't there already a Wangan league on GTP? It might be dead though.

Confirmed 👍

A great battle. I remember when i tryed to race Hannibaal on his home turf a long time ago - i never could beat him there. This race was no exception. But i learned one thing - never adjust your car before a race - i just was not accustomed to the new settings.
But this is not an excuse - i lost clear and fair. It was great to see Hannibaal in his RX-8 again - i remember when he run in GTTC with is RX-8.
Great battle - looking forward to a rematch on my home course. I hope i will put up a better fight.
Battle Rating: 5/5

@Takumi: I dont remember either the race. If you could send me the replay to remember. Would be great.

Cheers

Doesn't that give an overwhelming advantage to people who happened to have chosen a 4WD for S3 though? Anyway I'm glad I registered for class B cause I certainly won't be using the Camaro :P

Yep 4wd will have an advantage. Lucky those who are driving 4wd. But as i am only in Class B - there is no 4wd drivtrain allowed.
So it will all come down to how you can handle the car on snow. Drifting all the way - :ouch:
Heh gotta try out my Elise on snow first thing today after work.

What a battle, really epic!! This was a rematch, after 3 losses against him. First 3 round we were even,, always intense nose to tail action. I had the advantage of couse knowledge plus night time, and this factors secured my win. Because Maccer defends is line so well, I did the same when leading and waited for his tires to do their job, eheh! Maccers S14 is quite tail happy, when tires are loosing grip, so at this time I tryed to pass. We had side-by-side action for a few corners but he never lost composure, and kept his place. At final round, I was leading, ad I had no choice than give it all, taking advantage of my tyres still good, and pulled away slowly to finish, with a 4 sec gap. Man, it was intense, Macce is one of my favourite rivals, very respectfull on track, didn´t cut my line even once!! Thanks, mate!! :)

This race was alot better than our first last week,
Round 1 Hann lead and I got to see how well his Camaro handled the touge and it shocked me on the first lap its got alot of speed in teh straights and does quite good in the corners.
Round 2 and after the long straight into a tight left hander Hann outbraked and bumped the wall this gave me a good chance to spread the gap at this point hann couldn't catch me back up, I crossed the line well over 20seconds lead.

Hey guys I'm back, and avaible for 450pp touge now. I recently cam up with a idea of running a stock fc rx-7 for this season (so I'm not here to win) but over time the car will be upgraded.
Like the yellow rx-7 from initial d the car will become faster over time. :)

Aaa... just like my SW20. This Season, it's the most balanced it has been so far. So its really good. Just needs course knowledge and driver consistency to back the car up.

Yes I was very surprised with the cars results on ushimine handles well with good control and balance

And what I mean by stock I mean the is NO upgrades to the car at the moment...it's currently at 415pp but it's fun. I will upgrade the car everyday or too just to feel it's changes.

Fragolas chose to chase in my first night battle of the season and for the majority of the lap i was a bit shaky at first but slowly found grip and slowly started to pull out a gap to 3.7 seconds at the end.

Tryed to use night in my advantage, but no use, Ose's Elise still capable of pulling away easy from my S2000... Great drive!! Im starting to love to race at night, tho

I been looking forward to this race for a while now, but at the same time fearing it. I know what my touge team leader is capable of on the touge and I know his 350z is mighty quick, I challend him to a CMSD 1 sec to keep it close and make it a all out no mistakes battle on what I consider one the hardest courses so far used in LotS

Round 1 I chose to lead and it was tight for the first few turns I slighly overbraked a turn which caused streetking to take evasive action but no contact was made. as the course progressed into its mid to high speed sector my FD shined and I was getting a gap between us, not a big one mind though, he was still in my mirror.
Coming into the downhill section and the part I feared most as my FD doesnt perform well here, or im just not used to putting the power down early here and streetking caught me right up and reduced the gap I made, was getting worried this might be a long hard battle but I caught a very lucky break, street_king misjudged the very last corner going wide onto the grass allowing me to spread the gap to just 1.4 seconds.

Great race mate as we always do, if you didnt mess up the last corner the battle could have been a different story, I look forward to getting a chance to race you again officaly next week.

I was expecting this to be a very close battle so I decided to lead first to learn the track a bit more on round 1 and it probably would have been pretty tight but Fragolas made a mistake at the start costing him a 3 second delay. Judging from the section times he seemed to be catching up but I nailed the last tricky downhill part and I managed to pull away with a gap just over 3 seconds. Looking forward to a rematch, impressive S2000!

Great drive, mate, and your RX8 is truly fast in downhill sector. My early mistake cost me precious seconds, but I was getting near you until downhill sector. Here started my problems: my car needs better brake balance for this type of course, because I had serious issues with understeer, under braking. I'm looking forward for a rematch, I think it will be a long battle eheh. :)

It has been a great week, no matter win or loose, I had great battles. I'm glad I didn't choose faster cars, because now I'm learning even more about touge racing and tuning for touge. My Purple Shadow cars has been a pleasure to drive. Especially my heavyweight R34, with a surprisingly good composure in corners, being able to chase cars like FD's. It only needs a better driver, LOL ;)

Finally a race on my home course. It realy makes a difference to race on a track you know wery well.
The Track Knowladge secured my win. I could not pass King in the first round as he was doing a great job blocking my line - all clean btw.
In the 2nd round i unleashed my knowledge and pulled a nice gap of 4 seconds.

Was a great race!!!!

Btw Timber the Christmas challange is going to be a hard one.
Because when you are behind someone you cant see anything. All you see is WHITE SNOW.
It makes wery hard for the one who is following to know when the one in front is braking etc. .

A very exciting match against Hann's PROTOSS RX-8. Hann chose to lead and I was able to keep up until I got out of shape on a small uphill section. Luckily I recovered without hitting the wall and set about closing the gap. I capitalised on my car's ultra light weight and handling to bring the gap down to well under 3 seconds at the end of Round 1. We see-sawed through Rounds 2 and 3 with neither of us showing any mercy. Round 4 saw Hann take advantage of my slow uphill to pass me and hold on for the win. I tried my best to get back past but my aerodynamic instability saw me damage my suspension and fall behind. Brilliant duel
